Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 White Death

Under Jim Gordon's arrangement, the Lamborghini passed through the blockade unhindered and disappeared at the distant street corner.

This scene happened to be seen by Victor Zavi who was not far away. As one of the three killers under Falcone, Victor hated Batman to the core. It was Batman who left an indelible mark on his chest.

"Boss, you guessed right. Those policemen are useless. They let Batman go without firing a shot."

Victor punched the wall and stared at Jim Gordon in the gray jacket. After a while, he looked away and said word by word,

"The police are useless, so are we. Remember... tonight is Batman's death. If he doesn't die, we will die!"

When everyone heard this, a chill inexplicably rose up in their hearts.

Victor looked around and continued,

"Mr. Falcone just called and offered a $10 million reward to anyone who kills Batman."

As soon as the words fell, the atmosphere immediately became tense. This group of carefully selected thugs had hideous faces and flaming eyes, like madmen who had taken drugs. In fact, they were indeed on drugs.

In order to eliminate the terrifying shadow left by Batman, Victor distributed the newly produced nerve impulse to his men before coming.

Once they take the medicine and start fighting, they will become fearless lunatics.

The Lamborghini was driving quietly on the deserted streets. Inside the car, Emily stared straight ahead, frowning sometimes, then relaxing her brows sometimes, all she could think about was the scene just now.

As an FBI agent, she is very clear about the situation in Gotham City. This city is the most dangerous and chaotic place in the United States. Corruption is rampant, from the council members and mayor to the police officers. It is rotten to the core.

It is a pipe dream to think of finding a good policeman here.

The appearance of Jim Gordon gave her a new perspective.

Luke laughed, "What are you thinking about? You haven't said a word yet."

"That policeman just now!"

Emily turned her head and asked in a serious tone, "Why did he let us go?"

"Because he's Jim Gordon!"

"Do you know him?"

"I don't know him."

"Then how do you know he will let us go?"

"Because he's Jim Gordon!"

Same answer, same number of words, even the pronunciation remained unchanged. Emily snorted in annoyance, "Don't give me a perfunctory answer."

Luke shrugged. He couldn't say: This is how it is set up in the comics. Jim Gordon, the only good policeman left in Gotham City and Batman's old partner, has a beautiful daughter with an extremely high IQ.

And you, Emily Song, the elemental heroine who controls the power of water, ice, and fire. It sounds powerful, but you are a marginal character who doesn't even have a proper introduction.

Just as I was thinking about it, I heard a rapid dripping sound in my ears.

"Warning! Warning! Dangerous attack detected, activating the automatic defense system."

A miniature turret appeared on the roof of the car, and blue electric light shot out from the muzzle, hitting the rocket when it was six meters away from the car body.

boom!

A violent explosion came from the rear, shaking the entire car.

Luke's face changed slightly, and he gripped the steering wheel tightly, trying his best to control the direction.

At the same time, a large truck appeared at the intersection ahead. A dozen guys with submachine guns jumped out of the truck and fired wildly at the Lamborghini, howling as they rushed forward.

Bullets rained down on the car, splashing countless sparks, and then bounced off. The armored Lamborghini was like an armed tank, standing still in the rain of bullets.

"Who are they? Why are they attacking us?" Emily shouted.

"Who else could it be besides the gang?"

The ambush happened too quickly, and Luke had no time to analyze the situation. Seeing the thugs getting closer, he quickly turned the car around and drove in the direction they came from.

After walking just a few dozen meters, a row of headlights suddenly appeared in front of them. Several black Mercedes-Benz cars were parked side by side in the middle of the road. There were thugs holding rocket launchers next to each car. In the front was Victor Zavi. He was wearing a well-fitting suit and a white flower on his chest, as if he was mourning someone.

With a roar full of pleasure, the earth suddenly shook.

The thugs holding bazookas leaned back, and the rockets rushed out of the magazine and flew towards the Lamborghini with a roar.

Time seemed to freeze at this moment. The citizens on the upper floors who were awakened by the gunshots covered their mouths with fear in their eyes.

The next second, time resumed its flow.

A blue flash of lightning flew out, and the front rocket exploded instantly. Two more flashes of lightning flew out, hitting two rockets respectively. The last rocket rushed out of the flames, brushed past the car body in Emily's desperate eyes, and crashed into the building next to it.

boom!

The explosion came from the left and the Lamborghini was almost blown away.

"Damn it! My car!"

Luke cursed, but before he could finish his words, a familiar red dot appeared on the screen.

Two flashes of lightning flew out, followed by a roar loud enough to pierce the eardrums.

Flames filled the entire field of vision. The Lamborghini, which had not yet landed, flew up again, and the body of the car shook violently, as if it would be torn into pieces in the explosion in the next second.

The continuous attacks completely enraged Luke. He stepped on the accelerator with his right foot and rushed forward regardless of everything.

Seeing the front of the car about to burst into flames, Emily couldn't help but scream.

"Close your eyes."

"What!"

The girl looked at him blankly.

Luke turned his head.

"I said, close your eyes!"

The cold tone was like the indifferent look. Emily shuddered inexplicably and quickly lowered her head and closed her eyes.

Two seconds later, an electronic synthesized sound came to my ears.

"Activate annihilation mode."

Annihilation Mode, What is Annihilation Mode?

Emily felt uneasy and was about to ask when a flash of white light appeared in the dark vision, like lightning piercing the sky.

The street suddenly fell into silence, as if a dropped steel needle was about to touch the ground. The citizens leaning against the windows opened their eyes wide and looked at the white lightning thicker than their calves in disbelief.

Lightning struck the Mercedes-Benz, and then an electric shock zone was formed based on it. Dense electric arcs crisscrossed back and forth. Before Victor Zavi could open his mouth, his vision fell into darkness.

The body trembled violently as the electric current passed through it, and even charred marks appeared on the surface of the skin.

With just one strike, nine thugs including Victor were killed. This scene not only stunned the citizens, but also sobered up the group of drugged lunatics behind them. They looked at each other, hesitant, but no one retreated.

Luke turned the car around and pointed the blue electric muzzle on the front of the car at them.

"Target locked, attack?"

Luke took a deep breath and said indifferently,

"Leave no one behind!"
