The aura around Lia shifted and immediately sword energy burst out of her body. But instead of it being unstable, it was far more stable and more controlled, almost a thousand times better than she was 3 hours ago.
Lia breathed in and slowly imagined a bird in her mind, a small bird sitting still, with its wings closed, enjoying the wind.
As she imagined it, the sword energy began moving. She controlled the sword energy to slowly imbue it into the rock. Immediately, sparks flew across the training room from the lethal sword energy colliding with the sculpture rock, which was obviously made out of special material.
Slowly but surely, a frame of a bird was formed.
Grey watched with an amused look on his face while giving some pointers as she did it.
"Focus on the intent, synchronize with your sword energy, it is the same as becoming one with your sword. Let go of any resistance," Grey kept on giving pointers.
And eventually, after 5 minutes, it was done.
The sword energy slowly retreated back into her body, and Lia took a deep breath. The level of concentration she had while controlling the sword energy had her drenched in sweat, but luckily, she was wearing sportswear.
Then, an excited expression appeared on Lia's face.
"It's a bird!" She jumped in surprise. "It's exactly the bird I envisioned in my mind!"
"Good work Miss Lia, your talent is immeasurable and unfathomable, only you would be capable of achieving a feat like this in such a short time," Albert said while wiping away nonexistent tears from the corner of his eyes.
Grey rolled his eyes seeing this. Albert had been like this for the past three hours. He would occasionally motivate Lia from the side and give over-the-top praises every chance he got.
"See that!" Lia turned to Grey with a proud expression on her face. "It only took me three hours to fully do it!"
"Exactly, it took you three hours, what's there to be proud of?" Grey said with a look of disdain, which earned him a glare from Albert.
"Hmph!" Lia snorted and turned her head away. "But this means I can go home now, right?"
A look of relief finally appeared on her face. Honestly speaking, she had never been trained like this before. All the personal instructors had been extremely lenient with her and would stop when she wanted to stop, which she did very often. But Grey was different.
He wouldn't take no for an answer and wouldn't let her quit even for a break. She had already reached her limits many times, but she pushed herself further.
But it all paid off in the end, she managed to perfect sword energy in one day!
Sword energy erupted from her body this time. It was similar to how Grey's looked—like threads. It spread out and took on various shapes exactly like she envisioned.
She shot an arrogant glance at Grey, who looked at her with a deadpan eye.
"We'll learn sword control tomorrow," Grey said.
"Alright!" Lia nodded.
Then, as if thinking about something, she spoke to Albert. "Albert, go wait outside."
Hearing this, Albert shot a glare at Grey, who ignored him like always, and left the room.
Then she turned to Grey and spoke. "You haven't gotten your evolver's license yet, have you?"
"I haven't." Grey nodded. "I just finished my metamorphosis today; I haven't had much time to go outside."
Lia nodded and then spoke. "Since that's the case, let's go get your license today itself."
Saying that, she took her casual clothes from the side and spoke. "Wait for me a bit, let me shower real quick, I'll be right back."
Saying that, without even waiting for Grey's reply, she rushed towards the shower room which was built into the training room.
Every training room had one, as you would naturally get sweaty after an intensive training session.
"I can just go get it myself…" Grey said speechlessly.
But he didn't leave. Since she decided to come, he wouldn't mind it at all. After all, being with her meant more insight into the endless potential physique.
Soon the sound of the shower being turned on was heard, and Grey sat there with a bored look on his face while scrolling on his phone. He really needed to find a game to play while he was out and there was nothing to do.
It was a habit he had in his old life; however, the games of his old life weren't available here, but there should definitely be better ones as the entertainment and gaming industry in this world was far more popular than it ever was in his old world.
Soon, Lia came out from bathing. A fresh smell of soap and shampoo entered his nostrils, and Lia, after the shower, was glowing, appearing more beautiful than ever.
"You're here." Grey stood up. "Let's go and get the evolver's license. I need to go visit Golden Chamber after this too."
"Alright!" Lia nodded with a smile. She was looking forward to Grey's assessment test. She wanted to know how powerful he was. From the initial clash, she knew that he was strong, but she didn't know to what extent.
She also wanted to see if this guy had any sort of weaknesses. The assessment tested an evolver's combat capabilities, from physical strength, quality of one's body, life level, endurance, combat awareness, and other combat-related abilities to finally give a rank.
At the same time, Grey was in a dilemma. He was unsure whether he should reveal his strength or not. He had the power of a 3rd-level 1st-ranker with Nexus Overlock, and essentially that was his actual strength, as he could technically use Nexus Overlock at all times as long as he didn't run out of energy.
On second thought, he decided against it. The first reason being it wasn't his base strength—wouldn't he be reduced to a 2nd-level once he ran out of energy? That wasn't his actual strength. And the second reason being it would be too showy and catch the attention of high-level rankers in Nova City, which he didn't want.
Soon, after making up his mind, along with Lia, Grey stepped out of the training room.
However, as soon as they stepped out, three people appeared in front of them.
It was Manager Victor, his secretary, and Head Branch Manager Desmond.
