Lia felt weightless. She didn't collapse to the ground because she was stabbed, no, that was far from the truth. She collapsed to the ground due to the endless visions that kept appearing in her head.
The world around her vanished completely. It was replaced by an endless darkness that pulsed like a living heartbeat, and she drifted within it, unable to move her limbs, unable to sense her body. Only her mind existed.
Then, she heard it.
A voice.
No... several voices layered atop each other, distant and warped, like echoes bleeding through shattered glass.
"L▇▇▇▇n of g▇▇s"
The words scraped across her consciousness. Her mind trembled when she heard the voice.
Another pulse of darkness appeared, and more whispers emerged out of it.
"▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ god▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ nirvana▇▇▇"
The voices were overlapped and twisted. Each syllable glitched, stretched, and tore apart before fully forming.
Again, she heard the voice once more.
