The Southern Region
Grey stood eye to eye with the Lesser Heaven, which had now fully descended.
"So, you are the bastard I dreamt about back then," Grey chuckled, looking at the massive hands of the Lesser Heaven with amusement. "Looks like we were fated to meet."
The Lesser Heaven didn't answer. Instead, it stared silently at Grey, who stood there like a god descended from the heavens. If Grey wasn't wrong, this entity was already at the Fourth Rank.
Then, it spoke.
"Why does life slumber?"
"Why does life believe tomorrow is guaranteed?"
"Why does life wait until extinction to awaken?"
It asked three questions. But Grey just kept silent; he knew these questions weren't meant for him.
"In the end, it is all for nothing," the Lesser Heaven continued. "They make stupid decisions and die stupidly. And by the end, I devour them. I am the eternal truth of this world. This world exists to be devoured by now. Life... is meaningless in front of absolute power."
