Grey pulled his senses back as Wilhelm called his name again. The red leaves returned to their usual color, and this time the empty void faded from his sight.
"The feeling is stronger here, but I still can't pinpoint the portal's exact location." He said.
"Don't worry, take your time. We don't need instant results."
Grey nodded at his grandfather's words and checked the roots once more. The point of light had disappeared along with the vision, though he could still feel something beneath them.
He was about to try again when a mental link reached him. Grey recognized it at once and answered before the person on the other end could speak.
"Alan, you're here?"
"Yes, Master. I've been trying to reach you."
Grey had wondered how long it would take Alan to join him. He had mentioned having clones in the Higher Realm before, and it seemed he had finally managed to use one.
"Send me your location, I'll come find you."
