Ken's POV:
Falling.
I was falling right now. That attack just now... just what the hell was it?
I had barely survived being devoured by that explosion. With a thud, I landed on the ground. I grimaced as the impact of colliding with the ground from such a height was truly... truly pleasurable.
I stood up and walked up to a nearby tree. I sat down in it's shade, staring into thin air with a deadspan expression.
It seems that attack possessed the properties of some sort of mental damage. Not only did it mess with my thinking capability. It also planted a seed of fear inside of me. Is this the result of a skill?
Hey, [Sentinent Truth]. Tell me, was what happened to those dragons natural, some sort of instrinct skill of theirs? Or was it the result of some sort of skill?
'I see.'
So, it seems there's something else at play. There's definitely a majin... or possibly...
[Sentinent Truth]. That was the work of an Otherworlder, right?
[Sentinent Truth] was truly an incredible ability. Ofcourse, it was bound to have a limitation. But, that wasn't too much of a problem. [Sentinent Truth] would only provide answers to direct questions. So, the user was bound to be incredibly smart, too, or posses prior knowledge to a lot of stuff. It didn't seem to truly be a limitation, too, infact.
Sigh. Where are the others, though?
And when did I even start caring about them?
Suddenly, flashes of different memories—with my family, started to flood my mind. All sorts of humanly and monsterly desires and urges seemed to take control of me. My head was throbbing with pain. It was the first time in this life that I had to face something like this. Whoever this Otherworlder was, I was gonna kill them!
But, then, I also didn't seem to be in the right state of mind. I was truly a sane person! Truly! I couldn't comprehend what was happening around me. One of my greatest strengths was taken from me, my ability to think!
[Great Sage]! What is happening?!
Yes! Obviously!
I closed my ears and eyes, bit my lip, trying to fight a vile urge to kill myself.
Soon after, I heard [Great Sage]'s voice call out, it seemed [Great Sage] had done nullifying the skill. All of my sudden vile desires to kill myself, to go and find the others and whatnot seemed to dissipate.
Sigh. Finally...
Whatever this is... I have to get out of the range of that guy's ability. I can't fight that thing, not yet!
I immediately amplified my body with magicules and dove outside of the skills' range as far as I could. I ran. I ran. But, then... that fear seemed to disappear. It seemed that was also the work of a skill related to some sort of mental damage.
I heaved a sigh of relief. It seemed I had escaped that Otherworlder's skills' range.
Well. [Great Sage], develop nullification to all types of mental damage.
Affirmative. Master has gained the skill: [Unfaltering].>
Thanks... [Great Sage].
Right after having thanked [Great Sage]. I used [Stealth], disappearing both from sight and feel. No type of detection skill would be able to detect me as long as I have a stronger will than it's user. And one of the greatest things I pride myself on, is my will.
Now, I was fully prepared. Whoever this Otherworlder was, they were in for a ride.

Rose's POV:
Falling... I was falling. Both my mind and body were weakened. Why? I did not know. Even my inner voice seemed strange and sounded hoarse.
If it hadn't been for [Sacrosant]. I might not have even survived. My body was healing, slowly... really slowly, so much so, it was agonising.
I would have preferred dying. Yes... dying... how good it is. To die.
I did not know how, but all of my will had been weakened. So did [Sacrosanct]. I was dying.
But, it seemed, that would take quite a while.
I raised my hand, forging a tiny dagger made of my magicules. I put it near my throat, and moved my hand sidewards.
SHHKK!

Emily's POV:
The calamitic dragon had somehow warped the space around it's beam of annihilation, and had warped it behind us... oh... it was such a clever move.
Alex had dove into the sky, trying to escape the clutches of the sphere of annihilation. He warned us as he did so.
I was shocked, my eyes widened. I immediately tried to do the same as what Alex had. But it seemed futile. The sphere of annihilation ignited. Engulfing us in it's fury.
It was all a futile struggle.
All before my eyes—my mother, my uncles, my cousin.. even aunt Rose, were devoured by the sphere of annihilation. There were no chances of any of us surviving.
Well, probably aunt Rose can. I thought as tears rolled down my cheeks.
Life truly was incredibly short, and fragile.
