Chapter 12 - Tailed Beast Cloak

The warehouse breathed with silence, broken only by the faint hum of unseen energy. Raven's Shadow Clone sat cross-legged in the center, masked face bowed, her Rinnegan faintly glowing beneath the hood. Her thoughts reached for Yumi, calm and steady. "Are you able to merge with me… the way Kurama will merge with Naruto in the future? To grant me a chakra cloak?"

Yumi lifted her head, golden eyes gleaming with authority. "In time, yes. Once you channel natural chakra consistently, my own cloak will fuse with it. Unlike Kurama's corrupted chakra, mine harmonizes with nature's flow. As your strength grows, you'll wield my power freely. My chakra is superior—finer, purer, and stronger than his."

Raven gave the faintest nod, the movement subtle. "So once I've gathered significant reserves of nature chakra, I'll be able to manifest a one-tail cloak, like Naruto will one day command."

Yumi's tails stirred, a soft sound like laughter rolling into Raven's mind. "You'll channel far more than that, but yes… essentially your correct."

Raven's masked gaze turned toward her, calculation in her tone. "If we compared a standard jōnin to your cloak… what would a one-tail state amount to?"

Yumi tilted her head, considering. "Don't let this inflate your pride. Power grows in stages. But relatively speaking, one-tail from me would give you perhaps one-third the might of a basic jōnin. And that is only the beginning. Trust me, Raven—your future has no shortage of ascensions. But for now, you must remain in the shadows. You are still an infant. Let your strength grow unseen."

Raven's voice lowered into certainty. "So be it."

Her exhale deepened, the sound measured. Her Shadow Clone's body glowed faintly, wisps of unseen energy curling around her like mist. They clung to her skin, shifting with each breath as though the air itself bent to her will. Yumi's golden eyes narrowed, the fox's attention unwavering. To ordinary eyes, the warehouse would look empty and still, but to Yumi the currents of nature chakra converged visibly, weaving into Raven's form.

"Her Rinnegan drinks in nature chakra without corruption," Yumi whispered "Raven is truly something beyond human."

Raven made no reply, her focus unbroken. Her masked face remained tilted down, her eyes closed, breath steady as the currents thickened. The silence stretched long, filled only by the unseen hum of power threading itself into her body.

Hours passed. Outside, the ruined skyline of Konoha brightened faintly, the pale light of morning creeping across shattered rooftops and broken streets. Within the warehouse, the Shadow Clone exhaled one last time before dispersing into smoke. The meditation ended with a rush of chakra flowing back, the gathered natural energy returning to Raven's true infant body far away.
