Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: The First to Flee the Spirit Arena, Tang San!

"Huh?"

"He has the perfect chance to finish this. Why isn't he doing anything?"

"I don't know. What the hell is he waiting for?"

"Isn't he afraid his opponent will break free?"

The spectators in the Great Spirit Arena were completely baffled by Tang San's behavior, and a murmur of dissatisfaction began to ripple through the stands. On the stage, the man in the black robe was wrapped tightly in Blue Silver Grass, looking like a human dumpling, completely at Tang San's mercy. But instead of seizing the opportunity to secure his victory and end the Spirit Fight, Tang San just stood there, motionless.

Of course, the audience had no idea that Tang San had far bigger problems to worry about. A moment ago, when his hand had brushed against his pants, he'd felt a sudden, horrifying warmth. The feeling wasn't just on his hands; he could now feel it spreading across his thigh. Worse, a foul smell had quietly begun to permeate the air immediately around him.

Fortunately, the arena was spacious and well-ventilated, so for now, he was the only one who could smell it. The audience was too far away to notice anything amiss. However, his opponent, who was struggling to break free from the Blue Silver Grass, caught a whiff of the strange odor. Fearing that the grass might be releasing some kind of toxin, he immediately held his breath. But as he strained against his bonds, he could feel the inner layers of the Blue Silver Grass starting to crack.

Tang San was faced with two terrible choices.

His first option was to ignore his predicament and defeat his opponent. But that would require drastic movement, and if he did that, his… situation would become disastrously public. He might become famous overnight, but not for his strength. He would be remembered as the first person in the history of the Spirit Arena to have explosive diarrhea during a match. The story might even end up in the history books for all the wrong reasons.

His second option was to forfeit. He could admit defeat and slowly walk off the stage. He would lose the Spirit Fight, but he could salvage his dignity. No one would know the real reason he gave up.

In the stands, Flender frowned, his eyes fixed on the stage. He was sitting behind Tang San and couldn't understand why the boy had suddenly frozen. Dai Mubai and the others watching from their seats were just as confused. Tang San wasn't being crushed by his opponent; in fact, he was winning. They had expected as much. If a Level 23 Spirit Grandmaster like Tang San, a student from their Shrek Academy, was easily defeated by a Level 25 Spirit Grandmaster, it would be an embarrassment. They couldn't afford that kind of humiliation.

"How are the Spirit Fight arrangements going?" a familiar voice suddenly asked.

Flender turned to see a middle-aged man sitting down in the empty seat beside him. Recognizing the voice, he answered without looking away from the stage.

"They're all scheduled. Tang San is up first. He's in the ring right now."

The man who had just arrived was Yu Xiaogang. He had just returned from the bathroom, looking refreshed and feeling much better.

"Oh?" Yu Xiaogang looked towards the stage and saw Tang San standing frozen, his opponent wrapped up like a dumpling just a few feet away. "Hahaha, now this is Tang San's true strength! Looking at the situation, this Spirit Fight should be over any second now!"

Yu Xiaogang nodded, stroking his chin with deep satisfaction. The outcome seemed obvious, and he was incredibly proud of his disciple's performance. He'd only been gone for a few minutes, and Tang San was already on the verge of victory. It was then that he remembered that he and Tang San had eaten the same meal earlier. Tang San had also rushed to the bathroom, yet here he was, full of energy in the arena. It seems everyone's constitution is different, he thought. Youths certainly have strong bodies!

"As expected of my disciple!" Yu Xiaogang muttered to himself, a wide smile spreading across his face. "He has the same style I had back in my day."

He was practically beaming, just waiting for the host to announce Tang San's victory so he could properly celebrate.

Next to him, Flender sneered with disgust. Anyone who didn't know better would think Tang San had just defeated a Titled Douluo. His opponent was only two spirit ranks higher, and the match wasn't even over yet. Tang San had been standing there without moving for a full thirty seconds, and no one knew why.

"This..."

Just then, the smile on Yu Xiaogang's face began to fade. He, too, finally noticed that something was wrong. Tang San's opponent was trapped by the Blue Silver Grass, so it made sense that he wasn't moving. But why wasn't Tang San moving? He'd had more than enough time to secure the win. The proud grin on his face froze.

Meanwhile, on the stage, Tang San adjusted the Shrek mask on his face, having made his final decision. He couldn't bring himself to give up a victory that was already in his grasp. Besides, he was wearing a mask. Even if things got a little embarrassing, no one would see his real face. With that thought, the pressure in his heart eased considerably.

He activated his Xuantian Treasure Record, his spirit power surging. In an instant, he used Ghostly Shadow Perplexing Track to close the short distance between him and his opponent. His hands, now glowing with the light of the Mysterious Jade Hand, shot out. He grabbed the bound man, unleashing Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon.

The man, still trapped in the Blue Silver Grass, was lifted effortlessly into the air. With a powerful swing, Tang San sent him flying in a perfect arc toward the edge of the stage. The moment his opponent landed outside the ring, the victory would be his.

However, the large, sweeping motion had consequences. A dark shadow began to spread across the back of his pants. Tang San had it all planned out. As soon as the host announced his victory, he would leave the stage immediately and run straight for the toilets. He even had a change of clothes in his Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges storage belt.

The black-robed man soared through the air and was just about to land outside the ring. A small smile formed on Tang San's lips under his mask. Despite the small accident, everything was still under his control.

Bang!

At that critical moment, the Blue Silver Grass binding the black-robed man suddenly exploded.

"What?!" Tang San's face fell, his confidence shattering in an instant.

"Blue Silver Grass, Bind!" he yelled, sending strands of dark green grass shooting toward his opponent. He never imagined that the man would be able to break free at the very last second. He desperately mobilized his spirit power, trying to steady himself for what was coming next.

Swish!

The black rhino spear reappeared in his opponent's hand. With a fierce swing, he sliced through the incoming Blue Silver Grass. The force of the motion also reversed his momentum, allowing him to land steadily back inside the arena, just inches from the edge.

"You're insidious!" the man in black spat towards Tang San. The next second, his figure blurred as he charged forward, spear aimed directly at his target.

Whoosh!

The spear cut through the air with a terrifying sound. Horrified, Tang San tried to dodge, but he was too late. All he could do was leap into the air to protect his vital organs.

Thwack!

As fate would have it, the shaft of the spear struck Tang San directly on his rear end.

Pffffft!

Under the stunned gaze of the entire audience, Tang San became a human firework. A massive, brown, liquid explosion erupted from him, creating a disastrous downpour on the stage below.

The first person to flee the Spirit Arena was born.
