Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: An Overwhelming Victory

Even an ordinary person could now tell that Huo Feng was no simple individual. The spectator who had been loudly betting on the pink-haired girl to win was now slumped back in his chair, looking utterly embarrassed as he accepted reality. In contrast, the man who had bet on Huo Feng winning with an overwhelming advantage had a grin that practically split his face. The smile was unstoppable. Not only had he won the argument, but after the spirit duel, he would also get a free night at the famously exciting Platinum Palace.

On the stage, Huo Feng had become a shadowy assassin, appearing and disappearing without a trace. The reason he hadn't struck the pink-haired girl down immediately was to make her defeat absolute and clear to everyone.

At this point, the pink-haired girl finally snapped out of her shock. Seeing no one in front of her, she immediately spun around and saw Huo Feng standing silently in the center of the arena. His build wasn't particularly tall or large, but at this moment, in her eyes, he seemed incredibly imposing, like a towering mountain. As an agility-attack type Spirit Master, she could feel Huo Feng's terrifying speed more keenly than anyone else.

What puzzled her was why he hadn't attacked just now. Was it absolute confidence or sheer arrogance? But since she was still standing on the stage, she wouldn't give up, no matter how slim her chances were. It was a matter of respect—for herself, for the audience, and for her opponent.

"It's time to end this," Huo Feng's lips, hidden beneath his mask, curled into a slight smile.

"Buzz—!"

His third spirit ring flashed. The next instant, his body flickered, and in a flash, he was standing directly in front of the pink-haired girl. She reacted quickly, about to resist, but the cold touch on her neck instantly froze her in place.

"You lose," Huo Feng's voice was calm. "Surrender. I won't hurt you."

The pink-haired girl stiffly lowered her head. A short sword, as black as ink, was held against her throat. Her eyes followed the blade up to the slender hand holding it. If this had been a life-and-death battle, she would be a cold corpse by now.

Her mind was blank. How could her opponent be so strong? She had just achieved three consecutive victories in the Soto Great Spirit Arena and had hoped to continue her winning streak, perhaps even earning a chance to fight in the main arena. But today's battle dealt her an unprecedented blow. The strength Huo Feng displayed was far beyond her comprehension. She never imagined that her opponent was also a Spirit Elder just like her. Even if his spirit power was at rank thirty-nine, the gap between them shouldn't be this vast. Even against a Spirit Ancestor of over rank forty, she shouldn't have lost this badly, right?

Seeing no response from the girl, Huo Feng assumed she was ready to surrender. He lowered the short sword, shook his head lightly, and turned to walk off the stage.

Without the threat of the blade, the pink-haired girl immediately relaxed. However, even that brief contact had left a thin red scratch on her fair neck.

"Too strong… He's just too damn strong!" someone in the audience whispered.

The crowd, which had been so boisterous just moments ago, was now mostly silent, stunned by what they had witnessed. They had never seen a battle between opponents of the same rank with such a massive difference in strength. The reason some had supported the pink-haired girl was because of her recent three-win streak. They never imagined the fight would end so quickly and with so little suspense.

"She's probably going to surrender now," someone guessed as they watched Huo Feng turn to leave.

"I have to say, this guy is terrifyingly strong. He seems to feel that this kind of battle is beneath him."

"If you ask me, his teammate from before was such a disaster that he had to come on stage and quickly win to save face for their group."

After a brief moment of shock, the spectators began to voice their opinions. The overwhelming consensus was that Huo Feng was the strongest Spirit Elder they had ever seen.

"Hey, wait!" someone suddenly shouted, pointing at the arena. "Why is that woman rushing over again!"

On the stage, the pink-haired girl's face was twisted with a hint of madness, and her three spirit rings lit up simultaneously. Without hesitation, she charged toward Huo Feng's unprotected back.

The audience saw it, and Huo Feng, naturally, felt it too. He frowned slightly. "This woman really lacks martial ethics." He licked his lips, thinking he had been too kind.

In an instant, she was right behind him, and he could feel the strong wind from her attack.

"Then don't blame me for being ruthless!"

"Buzz—!"

Huo Feng's mind stirred, and his three spirit rings blazed to life. Under the astonished gaze of the audience, the sword in his hand transformed into four different forms in a single second. His figure flickered, creating a distance of several meters between them. As he turned, three sword energies of different colors—one blue, one red, and one gold—shot out instantly.

"Ah—!"

A scream echoed from the arena. By the time the audience could process what happened, the pink-haired girl had already been sent flying.

"Bang—!"

A heavy thud sounded as she landed hard outside the designated combat area. She arced through the air and crashed onto the ground.

"Wah—!"

She immediately spat out a mouthful of blood. The force of Huo Feng's three sword attacks had also torn her clothes, leaving gashes on her fair skin. She staggered to sit up and immediately noticed her torn attire. She looked up and saw dozens of eyes scanning her body. Her pretty face flushed crimson, and she no longer cared about her injuries. Covering herself with her hands, she fled as fast as she could.

"Tsk, tsk. That woman has no honor, trying a sneak attack like that," a man in the stands remarked, watching her flee. On the surface, he was speaking up for Huo Feng, but his eyes lingered on the direction she had run.

Most people's attention, however, remained on Huo Feng. He casually glanced at where the pink-haired girl had left, noting that she ran quite fast. Then, he withdrew his martial soul and walked directly off the stage.

At the same time, the host's voice resounded through the arena.

"I hereby announce that in this one-on-one spirit duel, 'Sky-Soaring Rat's' three-game winning streak has been terminated! Soul Master 'Shrek One' has achieved victory with an overwhelming advantage!"
