Chapter 11 - Chapter 8: I Thought Jealousy Was Green Not Red

Micha

I was just about to fall asleep when Ronak showed up. "Fucking hell, are you trying to cause problems?" Huh? Oh… I was going to change before he got here, but forgot. I-I had on the robe and my favorite pair of socks and undies from the box. I tried pulling the blanket up, but Ronak stopped me as he got into bed next to me. "What sort of sleepy vixen did I find in bed?"

"D-don't look!" I tiredly whined.

"Don't fucking look? What sort of evil request is that?" Ronak's hands wandered down and squeezed my bottom. Due to the design of the undies I was wearing, my cheeks were rather exposed, so his rough hands really massaged my skin. I let out a little muffled gasp, but Ronak kissed me with such aggression that it was like he was trying to orally extract my soul. My jaw quivered as he pulled away, and I couldn't help but breathe in the scent of his pheromones. He pulled me in closer, removing the gap between us. His naughty knee wiggled its way between my legs and began rubbing away. I-I wasn't mentally ready for such stimulation!

Just as my breathing was starting to become irregular, Ronak chuckled and released me. "Goodnight." He mumbled into my ear as he rolled over and faced away from me.

W-w-whaaaaat?! Wh-what was that?! I blinked a few times and rubbed my legs together uncomfortably. H-he can't get me all riled up and just stop! Wh-why?!? I reached over and poked Ronak's back, but he didn't respond. I poked him harder, but still no response. I was overwhelmed by irritation. Not his, but mine. Wh-why would he do that?! D-did I do something to upset him?!

I let out a sad whimper and lay down against his back. H-he wasn't even going to hold me? Why?! "R-Ronak?"

He rolled back over to face me, and his arms quickly entangled me. "I was just trying to tease you."

"D-don't tease me like that!" Tears welled in my eyes, and I angrily poked his chest.

"Guess I'm rather curious." He mumbled as he nuzzled his nose into my hair.

"A-about what?!" What would possibly make him do that to me?

"If you like me." What?! H-he teased me like that just to see if I liked him? How was that supposed to help figure that out?!

"I-I don't tell big meanies those sorts of s-secrets!" I snapped in response. My face was red and my heart was beating like crazy. I-I don't want to tell him any such thing! How could he be so mean?!

"Guess, I'll just have to keep teasing you." What?! No! "Goodnight, Micha."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A loud gasp escaped my lips as I was awoken from my slumber. My heart was pounding, and I felt a pair of hands massaging my bottom. As I got my bearings, I realized that I was lying on top of Ronak, who was fondling me. I flinched so hard that I fell off his chest onto the bed. Of course, Ronak laughed at me.

"Was someone having a naughty dream? You crawled on top of me in your sleep." My face turned red as I realized how wet and hard I was. I tried pulling a blanket over me as if that would hide what happened. Ronak snuck in while I wasn't looking and kissed me. His hand gently brushed against my face as his tongue slid forward and played with mine. When we pulled apart, I was left breathing heavily from all the pent-up excitement. Ronak started getting off the bed, but he snuck back in for an additional kiss. "I'll see you in class." He said as he exited the bed and melted down into his travel spell. With that, he was gone.

W-what?! I blinked slowly in confusion. H-h-he did it again! He got me all riled up and left right before things got g-g- Gah! I tried shaking my head to clear the dirty thoughts running through my mind. What sort of answer is he trying to get out of me?! Wasn't it obvious how I was feeling?!

I angrily flopped down on the bed and rolled around where he had been lying. Big meany, making the bed smell all good. Even my toes were curling from the pleasure. What a jerk! I can't believe I-I like him! Gah!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I angrily stabbed the scrambled eggs on my plate in irritation. "Is everything okay?" Terra asked with a furrowed brow.

"Everything is dandy!" I whined as I stuck my fork full of eggs into my mouth. I-I was so upset that I didn't even have any sweets on my plate! That's how frustrated I am! H-how dare he leave me in that state! I-it wasn't even satisfying! I was so upset that I barely made myself feel better. H-how dare he do that to me! H-he's just playing with me, isn't he?!

The hashbrowns got my wrath next as I repeatedly smashed my fork into them over and over. "Did something happen with… you know who?" Terra whispered over to me. I paused and gave her a teary-eyed stare before continuing to mutilate my potatoes.

"Nope! Nothing at all, and that's the real problem, isn't it!" I let out a disgruntled whimper, and poor Terra looked even more confused as she watched me childishly chomp on my potatoes. It didn't help that I was feeling extremely frustrated. I didn't understand Ronak's goal. Did he really just want to hear the obvious, or was he wanting something else? H-he wasn't growing bored of me, was he?!

"Okay… if you need to talk again, I'm all ears…" Terra nervously watched me as tears started welling in the corners of my eyes.

"I-I've gotta get to class…" I whimpered as I glanced over to the clock. I don't want to see him and his dumb face!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For combat training, we swapped back to sparring instead of sitting through lectures. The professor didn't pair me with Ronak, which I was almost relieved about. I was still rather upset about this morning, and seeing him acting all smug only upset me further.

Ronak was paired up with an alpha who looked deeply concerned, and I don't blame him. He shouted something over to Ronak, and the moment the whistle was blown, Ronak punched the guy so hard he flew into a wall… That… had to have broken something…

The professor glanced at me with an expectant look in his eyes, and I let out an annoyed sigh. Why did I have to go deal with the dumb alpha in the wall?! I don't want to. "Why are you so upset today? Is your heat approaching? Your mood is all over the place." I glared down at Jade, who followed after me.

"Not. So. Loud," I grumbled through my teeth. I wasn't really in the mood to deal with anyone, and I didn't appreciate Jade trying to guess why I was always upset. Her guesses were always all over the place.

"S-sorry… Did something happen with…?" Jade's eyes wandered over to Ronak, who was dealing with an annoyed-looking professor, and returned to me. "First you're distracted and now you're grumpy."

"Nope. Nothing happened. Nothing at all." I grumbled. "You're reading into it too much again." The annoying part was, besides the non-approaching heat, she was scary accurate. Ronak… did you have to hit this guy so hard? He's in way worse shape than I thought… I glanced over to Ronak, who was watching us, and he just rolled his eyes. Y-you! Was he trying to make me mad?! "Help me pull this guy out of the rubble." Jade nodded her head, but I don't know what I was expecting. She's even smaller and more petite than I was. She didn't even help, but I thanked her all the same after we managed to get him to a flat surface.

"Yikes… he looks rough," Jade mumbled while looking a bit queasy.

"Four broken ribs, a broken arm, probably a concussion, and lots of bruising. His back is going to be sore for a while where he took the impact into the wall..." I went about healing him and his sour face, but he didn't seem very appreciative. "What did you say to him?" I asked as I finished healing his arm.

"I asked the jackass how, butt-ass ugly his omega would have to be to keep her hidden-" I didn't even think as I slapped him across the face.

"Y-you jerk!" I snapped. My hand froze, and I quickly brought it back to my chest. O-oh no… "Th-there's no such thing as an u-ugly omega!" I panicked and tried to backtrack my words, but I was worried that I had completely given myself away.

"Keep your filthy hands off me, you omega-loving bastard of a lord!" He glared at me with furious eyes, but he didn't seem scary at all. I must have been spending too much time with Ronak because it was like an angry puppy was glaring at me. He pulled his fist back like he was going to punch me, but a frightening aura fell over us as Ronak approached. The jerk's eyes went wide, and his fist fell to his side. "You can barely call yourself an alpha, much less a noble. The only reason you're at this academy is because you're useful. Don't let it go to your head." He snarled as he rose to his feet. He spat in my direction and quickly hurried off before Ronak got a hold of him.

"What a meanie!" Jade ran over and gave me a big hug. "Don't let him bother you! You're so delightful and nice!"

"Th-thanks…" My attention wasn't on Jade, though. It was Ronak and his furious eyes that watched our classmate hurry off. He stood there for a moment before glancing at me and turning away. H-he's not even going to see if I'm okay, or help me to my feet? I-I know I'm the one who told him to keep his distance b-but…, but…

"Do you want to spar with me?" Jade asked.

"I-I guess…" No, I don't want to spar. I want Ronak to come back… My chest ached, and I wanted nothing more than to run to him. I-it's my fault… isn't it…

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had been assigned to hunt white-tailed scorpions, but I sat on a sky platform above the treeline. I wasn't in the mood to hunt. I was too distracted. Why was Ronak's lack of attention driving me insane? The professor had assigned us to hunt the scorpions together, but Ronak said, "If all we do is hunt together, we will never grow individually." Then went off on his own, leaving me feeling baffled. What was this cold shoulder he had started giving me? Did he already grow bored with me? Terror drenched my heart and made it feel like ice. Did he find me annoying? Why was he ignoring me? I pulled my knees up to my chest and looked out across the trees. He had to know that I was feeling sad… Did he not care?

Why was I letting this bother me so much? He's just a big meanie that does what he wants. Yet, being ignored and alone was killing me. Wh-why was he avoiding me? Wh-what was he trying to prove?! These questions just kept circling my head and making me dizzy.

My face felt like it had caught on fire. Was it because we had bonded? I couldn't get him off my mind, and the more I thought about him, the more my heart raced. Wah! I-I had no reason to like him and yet… and yet… I had become completely obsessed. What is wrong with me?!?!

Class time was approaching its end, and I hadn't taken down one scorpion. The professor would probably be upset with me, but I didn't care. I was about to come down from my sky platform when it shattered. What?! I didn't stop supplying it with mana! Why did it break?! I reached out my hand and tried to create more sky platforms, but they shattered as I came into contact with them. I was falling at too fast a speed. Stupid fragile spell! I thought I was going to face-plant it into the ground when a pair of arms grabbed me.

"Are you paying attention? I've called for you dozens of times! I had to take drastic actions." Ronak's feet gracefully touched the ground after catching me. He even managed not to jostle me around much.

My face was a disastrous shade of red, having to see him after thinking about him so much. "You b-broke my spell?!" I managed to stutter as my heart figured out how to correctly pump blood again.

"Would you like to see the new spell I learned?" He raised his hand, and his red spikes shot from the ground, except this time they weren't the typical large ones. They were small, maybe the size of a finger. What was even more surprising was that he launched them like tiny projectiles. "I didn't want to startle you, but I was worried something was wrong. You've been an absolute mess of feelings today. Has something been bothering you?"

"Y-you!" I cried out angrily as I buried my face into his shoulder.

"Oh?" Don't play dumb!

"Y-you keep toying with me!" Tears welled up and spilled over. I couldn't take it anymore. I was so incredibly upset. "F-first last night and then again this morning. Y-you didn't even come check on me when he almost punched me. I know I asked you to stay away b-but-!"

Ronak patted my head with a troubled expression. "I admit that I've been toying with you a little… but this wasn't my intention…" Ronak did what Ronak always did and licked away my tears. I admit it was a bit gross…, but his warm tongue sorta tickled.

"What?" If he wasn't ignoring me on purpose and teasing me, then what was he trying to achieve?

Ronak got an awkward gaze in his eyes while scratching his cheek, and eventually, his eyes looked away from me. "I wanted you to initiate something… I tried prompting you in the bath, but you were really struggling… I just thought it would be satisfying if I riled you up enough that you'd beg or something…"

"Y-you wanted me… t-to beg you… for…!" I couldn't believe him! He did all this just so I'd come after him?! Was he crazy?!

"Mhmm," This smug jerk! "This is cute, too. Seeing you all frazzled." I couldn't even look at him. He's gotta be joking! "I don't think I'm going to stop either." He leaned in close, stuck his hands in my uniform jacket, and ran his thumbs over my chest, giving my nipples a light squeeze. "I'm going to make you all hot and bothered to the point that you come crawling after me."

"R-Ronak! Stop!" His massaging was getting a little out of hand because I was starting to literally melt in his grip.

"Nope, not going to. Not until you admit that you like me to my face or you beg me to satisfy you. You said I'm arrogant and had a big ego, and you're right." He leaned down and gently nibbled on my neck. "I have no intention of losing this battle. You'll be the one swinging your hips for my pleasure." My eyes were like saucers. H-how could Ronak say such dirty things?! I thought for sure my heart was going to escape my chest. No way! I-I'm not doing such a thing! I refuse! Ronak let out a bit of a chuckle and pulled my chin up so he could look at my face. "You'd better calm down. It's time for your next class, and you look like you've been doing something naughty in the forest." He bent down and stole a kiss from my captured lips before releasing me. "Oh, and in the future, when I wreck a fucking jackass's face, don't bother healing them. They probably deserved it. Though that soft slap you gave him was amusing. Next time, put some 'oomph' into it so he doesn't have the will to fight back." Ronak snickered and air-boxed as he walked away with a massive smile.

My knees had finally had enough, and I collapsed down onto the ground as I tried to catch my breath. Ronak was too much! H-he was going to tease me until the end of time at this rate… I can't handle that b-but admitting my feelings felt intimidating… The other option was far worse… Ronak wanted me… he wanted me to be so shameless!! H-he should be the one I slap next time! Gah! How am I supposed to go to my next class now?!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was not prepared for what alchemy class had in store. I was already having a rough day, and now I felt jumpy around Ronak. After yesterday's lecture, I knew we were going to be brewing mana potions. I would have felt extremely excited had Ronak not been my partner. I-I don't know if I can handle being partners with him…

I stood nervously next to him at our brewing station and foolishly spared him a glance. He glared at me and looked away, h-he was really good at pretending… I would have found it scary had I not known that he was feeling obnoxiously pleased with himself. My face turned a bit pink as I thought about what he said. H-he can dream on!

I plopped down on the stool and pulled my notes out from class. We weren't doing anything that great. Just an extremely basic mana potion, the ingredients were being provided, and everything. I noticed Ronak side-eyeing my notebook and had to stifle a snicker. He never did get a chance to borrow it… Maybe I should let him. I doubt he'd do anything to damage it. At least he better not.

The professor explained what we were doing, but I was far more interested in Ronak's notebook, which he set out at an angle for me to look at. Hmm, it was surprisingly empty… "Your time begins now, students!" The professor called as she flipped her sand timer.

"Do you want me to gather ingredients, or do you want to?" I tried to say it as flatly as possible, but Ronak was right. I was really bad at pretending…

"Don't care." He grumbled while looking out the window. I let out a little sigh. He was treating me like he did before he marked me, and… it bothered me. I found it strange how he was able to easily switch back and forth like that… I definitely couldn't, I'd slip up.

I grabbed the basket that had a cutting knife in it and headed to the back of the classroom, where potted herbs were growing. They looked nice, but the plants flourished even more in their natural environments. Ooh, there was even a nice selection of dried herbs… Wait a second… The professor had sat out two different types of herbs that looked very similar, but when brewed, created very different potions. How evil. I don't think the class even noticed because most of the students were grabbing both herbs without even looking at them. I thought about saying something, but it wasn't my fault they weren't paying attention.

"What's taking so long?" I flinched slightly as Ronak approached and stood far too close.

Students in the vicinity had quickly collected their herbs and scurried back to the brewing side of the classroom when they saw Ronak. I-is anyone going to attend your birthday party willingly, you bully? "S-sorry… I just wanted our potion to turn out correctly." I waved to the identical plants, and Ronak raised an eyebrow. He wasn't serious, was he? He owned Elutra, so he should know the difference easily. "Look here." I pulled the leaves back on the first plant as I tried to show him the difference, but I ended up having to stifle a yelp.

Ronak pressed his hips against my bottom and grabbed my sides. Th-this position was far too lewd for where we were! He leaned in, pressing his entire body against mine, and whispered into my ear, "Mmm, the professor is trying to trick us. Clever catch." When he leaned away, I swear he intentionally ground his hips against me. "Hurry up." He snarled as he swatted my butt and returned to our cauldron. H-h-hurry up?!?! How was I supposed to hurry up?! M-my poor face was all red now because of you!

I tried taking slow, deep breaths as I gathered the rest of the herbs, but I'm pretty sure my face was still pink as I returned to the cauldron. Ronak scoffed when he saw the contents of our basket. "You got too much fucking violet stalk, and why do you have its goddamn flowers?" He pulled the five violet stalk flowers out and waved them around. "We're here for potion brewing, not flower arranging."

I glanced down at the basket and my face automatically scrunched up when I saw the aloettle juice. "Th-that's because aloettle tastes bad. If you simmer the flowers and make a syrup, you can add it at the end to help with the flavor. I even brought berries to help the flavor further." I waved my hand and brought out the berries I stole from lunch. "The professor never said we had to follow the recipe she taught us perfectly; she just said we had to achieve the correct results." I was listening… to the parts I wanted to.

Ronak seemed to be trying his hardest not to laugh. He ended up looking like he licked a lemon as he resisted the urge. I, however, knew the truth. He was terribly amused by me and my berries.

The table behind us started whispering as if we couldn't hear everything they were saying. "I-I can't believe he's trying to tell Lord Ronak how to make potions!"

"Doesn't he know that Lord Ronak is the potion guy? I mean, he owns Elutra. I'd just shut up and do what he says."

"No wonder Lord Ronak looks pissed." I think the only thing making him mad is you two dolts. You're basically giving him an excuse to give me a hard time if something goes wrong.

Ronak grunted, which drew my attention back to him. "If we receive a low grade, there will be consequences." He half snarled, but I could tell he was incredibly curious.

I ignored his rude comment and pointed to the basket. "Take the aloettle juice and pour it in along with those ingredients there." I waved to the herbs I sorted out while listening to our neighbors' conversation.

"Don't fucking tell me what to do." He growled, causing many of the students surrounding us to flinch. I was so used to his growls, though, that I simply rolled my eyes. Putting on quite the show today, aren't you?

I began chopping herbs and slowly adding them at the correct times while Ronak stirred. Our potion slowly turned from clear to pale blue as the ingredients merged together. Even though Ronak kept complaining, he was doing exactly what I asked. It was odd to watch.

"We need to add more silver tongue." He said with a furrowed brow.

"What? I put the correct amount in…" I stepped up onto the stool and peered into the cauldron. Huh… it was looking rather lackluster… Why, though? "Hand me that jar of silvertongue." I held my hand out until Ronak passed me the jar.

Together, we looked at it curiously, but it was Ronak who noticed it first. "This was harvested in the winter." He said while running the powder through his fingers.

"Should we add a little more?" I asked. It was a bit late to be adding more in…

"Add four, no five, more pinches to make up for it not being harvested during its regular growing season." He grumbled quietly so no other teams would hear.

I nodded my head and noticed the professor watching us with curious eyes. She's setting people up to fail; that's messed up. "Will you check the other jars before we add anything else?"

"Don't you have a set of damn eyes?" He snapped as he pulled the tops off the dried herbs we were using. Why complain and then immediately do what I ask? "They look fine."

I took over stirring while he looked and watched as the potion blossomed into a nice, rich blue. "That seemed to fix it. Good catch."

"It would be unacceptable if I couldn't notice something so minor. I can't believe you didn't notice it." I bit my tongue as I smiled at him. Gosh, why are you being so over the top with your meanness today?

Ronak took over, adding the finishing touches and stirring while I worked with the flowers and berries I wanted to add. I triple-checked all my measurements and the ingredients as I worked. It would be rather embarrassing to mess up now, and I don't think I could mentally handle Ronak possibly yelling at me. "I'm starting to reduce the temperature." Ah! Perfect timing! I just finished with the additive.

"I'll swap out with you." I held the hot pan and carefully stepped up so I could properly see into the cauldron. Gosh, I wish I were as tall as Ronak; he didn't need the stupid stool that all omegas used. Heh, I couldn't imagine Jade taking this class. She wouldn't be able to see into the cauldron even with the stool.

I gently stirred the potion with one hand and drizzled the now clear syrup in. I stopped adding it in earlier than I would have because Ronak said he didn't like my super-sweet potions. We each had to drink one, and I didn't want him to gag in front of the class just because they were too sweet. I passed the pan back to Ronak as I continued to stir. Didn't want any streaks of unmixed syrup in the potion; that would be bad.

"Are the bottles ready?" I didn't even look at Ronak; my attention was fully on the potion we were brewing.

"What do you think I've been fucking doing over here?!" He said with a menacing tone. Oh hush. I want to reach over and poke you for being so crabby with me. The big stinker. A-at least it was far more clear now that he was acting and not actually upset with me.

"Pouring." I used the cauldron's crank and started tilting our mixture over to the spigot on its side. I glanced down for a split second to watch Ronak skillfully filling each bottle. He didn't even let a drop go to waste. The cauldron was fully tilted, so I stepped down and started corking the bottles. When I was done, I held one up and swirled it around. It was far better than the low-quality ones that the professor asked us to brew, but it was nothing special. The herb combination just wasn't right to produce stronger results. "They turned out alright."

"You better fucking hope they turned out alright." He glared at me, but I couldn't help but smile. Even though he was being crabby, we made these together, and that made them special to me. I glanced around and noticed other teams struggling to produce low-quality potions. They varied from muddy blue to one that was straight-up brown. I didn't want to be in the vicinity when they had to drink that.

"Shall we go turn them in?" I carefully loaded five potions into my arms while Ronak grabbed the other seven.

"Splendid! These are beyond superb!" The professor swirled one around, watching the sparkling silver shimmer inside. "I don't taste every group's potions," Her eyes wandered to the scary brown potion that was starting to bubble like it was alive, "but you two have piqued my interest by adding things that you didn't need to. I have high hopes with the son of Elutra and the prodigy student working together." She uncorked one of the bottles and took a sip. Her eyes went wide, and she took another sip. "How have you managed such a flavor?!" She drank a bit more and smiled widely.

"Unfortunately, that is a secret," Ronak responded. H-hey, I am the one who made it taste good! Why are you responding?

"Ah, that's a shame, but I must say using my class as an opportunity to try a new product out is daring of you, Lord Ronak." She smiled and corked her half-drunk bottle. "Passing grades for both of you. Just clean up your station before heading out."

We returned to our cauldron with our now eleven bottles. "Do you want to try one?" I asked, holding one of the bottles out for him to take.

"I guess I'll try how you altered our potion." He snatched the bottle away and quickly downed the whole thing before I even got the cork out of mine. I stared at him dully, but took a sip of mine. It was not as sweet as I would have preferred, but at least it covered up the gross aloettle taste. "It leaves much to be desired, but it doesn't suck." He snarled at me. His hand came up for a second like he was going to pat my head, but he quickly returned it to his side.

"I'll take that as a compliment," I responded with a pleased smile. "What do you want to do with the rest of them? Split them?" I stared at the nine bottles.

"Don't give two shits. Throw them in the trash for all I care." I bit my lip while feeling a little frustrated. You didn't need to be so curt a-and you left me with all the cleaning up to do! I quickly turned to call after him, but he was long gone. I let out a sigh and began cleaning up what was left on our station. Actually, looking at it… he must have been cleaning as he went because it's not nearly as bad as the other students' disastrous stations.

I stashed the potions in my storage and cleaned up the little bit of mess there. I knew he was just playing the part I asked him to, but… th-that didn't mean that his words didn't hurt…

I decided to flee the classroom before the brown sludge monster had to be consumed. I didn't even want to know what that would do to the two dumb alphas that produced it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had gotten my hands on a rare potion book and was sitting in an abnormal spot in the library. I didn't want to be around anyone, so I tucked myself away in a corner that students rarely came to. It was around the spot that Ronak, ahem, there was no good way of putting it. He basically drugged me with his pheromones and hauled me to his estate so he could forcibly bond with me. Gosh, that dummy wouldn't know what romancing someone would look like.

"This is where you're hiding." I jumped as Ronak appeared next to me from his red goo. Talk about speaking of the devil!

"How did you know where I was?!" I straightened my book back out onto my lap and glanced at Ronak. I was still a bit annoyed with how he acted during class… I fiddled with the pages, trying to pretend like I didn't care.

"I thought I told you, I just always know where you are now. It must be because of the bond." Ronak yawned as he sat down next to me. "Why are you sitting on the floor?"

"I wanted to be alone… I didn't feel like listening to all the omegas' chatter about your birthday. I hear it enough at meals." I grumpily mumbled.

"My, my, I'm the center of omega gossip? I should feel honored about being so popular." Gah! His ego really is massive!

"Don't give yourself a big head. It's mostly because the emperor is throwing your party." I flipped the page and stared at the illustrations in annoyance.

"What has you so grumpy?" Ronak grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards him. The book almost slipped out of my lap, but luckily, I caught it with a gasp.

"N-nothing! Now, please let go, you almost made me drop the book. It's a limited edition copy!" As always, Ronak's ridiculous strength held me in place like a prison.

"Who cares, you want one? I'll buy one for you." Ngh! The power of having wealth. He's so arrogant! "Are you mad about alchemy class? We made a perfect potion."

"I don't care about the potion," I grumbled. It was the least of my concerns.

Ronak pulled me partially onto his lap, making the book clatter to the ground. "If you don't like me having to treat you like that, you have the power to change it. All you have to do is say the word. I don't enjoy treating my omega like that, it's gross." His crimson eyes stared down into mine. Was he… sad?

"I-it's not a problem." I had to look away from his eyes; they were too honest.

"But it is, it's causing both of us grief." I bit my tongue, unsure of what I should say. I-I wanted him to treat me kindly, but at the same time, that would be alerting everyone to a change in our relationship… "If you're worried about repercussions, I'll deal with them. No one would dare say anything with me by your side."

"Oh, good. My very own attack dog." I teased with a dull look on my face. "Do I have to heal all the people you punch?"

"I believe I already told you that you're not allowed to heal jackasses." He growled threateningly, but I simply rolled my eyes.

"You're such a meanie."

"And you're too nice." Our eyes met, and I let out a sigh. Ronak was like a wild beast I would probably never be able to tame. Wh-why did we like each other?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think Ronak was getting too used to loafing around in my dorm. I haven't been able to drop by without finding him here. The funny part was, this time, Ronak was lying on my bed while holding one of my stuffed animals out in front of him. "What are you doing?"

"I don't understand your draw to these things. Besides being similar in nature, that is." Huh?

"Similar in nature?" I had a bad feeling. I knew what he was going to say, but I figured I'd still ask.

"Yeah, you're both terribly squishy, and while you're terribly cute, I guess others find these things appealing." My face turned pink as I went about unloading my bookbag onto my desk. I knew Ronak thought I was beautiful, but cute? It almost sounded like a weird word coming from him. I didn't know Ronak thought things were cute.

"P-put it down," I grumbled as I walked over to the bed.

"Why do you constantly bring these things out of your storage?" He asked while giving my poor stuffed cat a shake. Was he trying to annoy me?

"Because obviously I like them." I puffed my cheeks up slightly and glared at Ronak, who simply rolled his eyes as he tossed my stuffed animal back onto the bed.

I noticed his eyes wander over to my stack of books on my desk, and he clicked his tongue. "Is that all homework?"

"Yeah, I've missed a lot of class because of someone-" Ronak grabbed my arm and tugged me down onto the bed with him. It startled me quite a bit, but getting to lie on his chest wasn't bad.

"It's not all my fault…, but it works out. I have some things to take care of at the estate, and while I will come back here to sleep, I doubt you'll see me during the day." Ronak fiddled with my hair as he spoke, so I fiddled with his uniform pocket in return.

"Can I ask what you're doing at the estate?" He probably didn't want me poking around in his business, but I was trying to be better and actually get to know him.

"It's nothing interesting, I just have some furniture vendors dropping by and work that I've been avoiding. Someone has been a rather bad influence on me." I was rather confused until I peeked at him and noticed the smug look he was giving me.

"You think I'm a bad influence on you?!" I sat up and angrily grabbed his shirt.

Ronak seemed all too pleased as he tilted his head back and closed his eyes. "Yeah, because of you, I spend all my time in bed avoiding my responsibilities. You're such a vixen."

I let out a disgruntled squeak and released his shirt so I could grab hold of his ears. "You're the one constantly coming to my bed! You did this in the dungeon, too! You tried blaming your naughty behavior on me!" I let out an annoyed snarl as I angrily pulled on both Ronak's ears.

Ronak's eyes only slightly opened, and he let out an amused chuckle. "Mmm, as scary as one of your stuffed animals." My eye twitched in annoyance, and I wanted nothing more than to strangle him. Never in my life have I met someone as infuriating as him! I can't believe I thought I liked him! I've lost it!

I let out an annoyed huff and released Ronak's shirt. I wasn't going to let him have the satisfaction of riling me up. "It's a good thing you're busy." I snapped as I headed towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Ronak asked as he sat up on an arm.

"To eat with people who are less annoying than you!" I snapped as I threw the door open and stormed out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought Ronak said he was going to be busy for the next few days at his estate? Wh-what in the world is he doing? I peeked over the top of my book at Ronak, who seemed to be doing homework at a desk across the workspace. Everyone fled when Ronak showed up, so it was just him and me with a few students looking for books amongst the shelves. I was trying to ignore him as I tried to get caught up in my classes, but it was incredibly hard. Did he think I needed a babysitter while at the campus library, or was it because he's still trying to appease me after he made me mad? Either way, I wish he would disappear. I'm still annoyed with him.

I let out a frustrated sigh and set down the book I was supposed to be reading. "Is everything okay, Micha?" I pulled my gaze away from the most frustrating alpha on the planet to see Americ. He was probably the only alpha I ever actually talked to at the academy. He never seemed annoyed or angry that omegas flocked around me, which was nice. I only ever saw him at the library, which must attest to how much he likes books because I don't think I've ever seen him without a book in hand, either.

"Hello, Americ. Everything is fine. Well, sort of, this paper is giving me a bit of trouble. I just feel like I can't find the right resource for it." I partially lied. I hadn't even looked for any resources for it yet, but he didn't need to know that. It's not like I could admit that I was frustrated with my stalker alpha across the way.

Americ placed a hand on the back of my chair and his other on the desk as he leaned over to glance at what I had written for the assignment. I wasn't particularly bothered by it, but as I watched his blue eyes dart across my paper, I noticed someone across the room begin to fidget in their seat.

R-really? This upsets you? Actually… talk about the perfect way to get payback. "Ah, is this for your magic control class? I can recommend a few books I used last year when writing it." I looked up at him with an unnecessarily wide smile just to get on Ronak's nerves. You've been tormenting me for days and making me mad. How do you like it?

"Thanks, Americ, I'd love the help." He seemed a little confused by my smile, but he returned one all the same.

"Here, I think the books were over here." I stood from my chair and followed him through the shelves to the section dedicated to magic books. "Mmm, this one was a good read. I also think that this one will help…" He rambled on about the books, but what caught my attention was the pair of red eyes two rows over, intently watching us through the books. I was joking when I called you a stalker, but now I'm starting to reconsider. This is just creepy, Ronak. Jealousy isn't a good look on you. "Do those sound good?"

Ack! I-I wasn't listening… "Yeah, absolutely!" I held out my arms and he passed me the stack of books he had pulled off the shelf, but as he let go, I almost dropped them. Bah! Why are there so many?! D-did he think I had arms of steel or something?! That was Ronak's area of expertise, not mine!

"Ah, sorry! I thought you would have been able to carry them…" He took a quick step forward, helping to support the books, but in the process, he had gotten rather close to me. I glanced up into his face and saw his eyes go wide. We stood there for a second, awkwardly looking at each other with only books to separate us, before I noticed his cheeks go a bit pink at the bottom of his glasses. "S-sorry!" He quickly grabbed the books from my arms and rushed past me with them. His brown hair disappeared around the corner, and I stood there for a second, feeling confused. That was weird…

I glanced over to the set of red eyes that were seething with annoyance. Oh, calm down, you jealous baby. He was just helping me, but it's not fun being toyed with, is it? Before Ronak could approach, I turned and quickly followed after Americ. "Thanks for carrying those for me. They were heavier than I thought." I said as I caught up to him.

"N-no problem!" His face wasn't pink anymore, which was a shame. He was kinda cute when blushing. "I'd better get going. I'll see you later!" He turned and scurried off, and I watched his dark brown hair disappear as he darted down a row of books. Gosh, he didn't even give me a chance to say goodbye.

"What do you think you're trying to pull?!" A low growl reached my ears, and I turned to give Ronak a dull look.

"Nothing… Am I not allowed to talk to my friends?" I sat down in my chair, and Ronak moved to stand in the same position Americ was standing in earlier, except instead of looking at my paper, he towered over me. Y-you're a bit too close if you're going to glare like that!

"Alphas don't understand the concept of friends," Ronak grumbled. Th-that sounded more like a you problem than a general alpha problem. "Are you intentionally upsetting me?"

Gah! If I tell him that I was, he'll probably be upset! "H-he was just helping me! What's your problem?! I-it's not like I'm remotely interested in him! We just talk about books sometimes." I gulped nervously as Ronak stood up with a loud exhale like an angry bull.

"That better be all it is. Otherwise, your book friend might have a difficult time walking without legs." I wasn't even sure how to respond to that. I just watched in shock as Ronak returned to the table he was 'studying' at. N-note to self… don't tease Ronak by making him jealous…

It took me a minute to calm down. Gosh, why did Ronak have to take things too far? I doubt that was an empty threat. Ronak didn't strike me as the type to make empty threats. Did Ronak not want me to have any friends just because he marked me? That's not fair and talk about being silly! I felt a whopping zero feelings for Americ. Even if he tried anything, I wouldn't be able to smell his pheromones. Dumb! Ronak was being dumb!

I angrily grabbed a book from the stack that Americ recommended and started flipping through it. Wow… this book is going to be incredibly useful for the assignment… I glanced over the top of the book at Ronak, who was still watching me closely, and hid my face in the book. Dummy mc-dumb-dumb!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I managed to get my paper completed way faster than I had anticipated, thanks to Americ. I'll have to thank him later when Mr. Stalker isn't around. I stood from the desk and began to gather the books so I could return them when I noticed Mr. Stalker approach. He pulled the stack from my arms, and I looked up at him in annoyance. "I-I don't need your help!" I could do it myself!

"Too bad." He grumbled as he collected the rest off the desk. Hey! I said no, you jealous meanie! Ronak didn't care, though, because he started hauling off the books.

"Wh-why are you even here?" I whispered as I followed after him. "I thought you had things to do!"

"I was feeling worried and apparently rightly so." He mumbled as he slid the books back onto the shelf. Worried about me? Why? I was just doing homework on the third level of the library, where I always did it.

"Y-you better leave Americ alone. If you hurt my friends, I'll ignore you." My threat wasn't nearly as scary as Ronak's, but as he put the last book away, he turned to me with a furrowed brow.

Ronak grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips, where he gently kissed it. "If you want your friends to be safe, tell them not to flirt with you. I will not tolerate an alpha going after what is mine." His gaze was intimidating. Like he was looking into my soul. I went to take a step back, but Ronak took a step forward and grabbed my back, pulling me close. He leaned down and stuck his nose slightly into my collar as he wrapped his arms around me. "The beautiful golden mark adorning your skin is the proof of our bond." Ronak teasingly ran his tongue along the edge of my ear as he stood back up. "I'd better be the only alpha to ever make your heart flutter like this." I gasped as he pressed his hand against my chest. Gah! S-stupid heart! Calm down! "Had your face been as cute as this when he was hovering near you, he wouldn't have lived to see the end of the day."

"S-stop threatening people." What was wrong with him?! Did he need to act so possessively about me?

"Mmm," He turned and my back pressed into the bookshelf, leaving me nowhere to run as he leaned in close again. "No, I don't think I will." Ronak grabbed my chin and forced me to look up so he could kiss me. "People should know better than to mess with my adorable omega. I'll let you finish your homework, but if you keep getting close to alphas, I can't guarantee their safety." Ronak stole another kiss before taking a step away from me. "I'll see you tonight. You should wear that sexy robe again." Gah! I don't even know if my brain knows how to function around him. He's too much! I could barely remember to breathe!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ronak

I wanted to push over all the bookshelves in the library. I was so pissed. Micha was marked. Why the fuck was an alpha getting all nervous around him? He even put out pheromones! Did the bastard have a death wish?! I know Micha is pretty, but that's no excuse. Did the bond malfunction? It was like he could smell Micha's pheromones. Impossible right?! Right!?

Grah! I needed to hide my anger so Micha didn't become aware of it, but the dumb look that alpha gave Micha pissed me off to no end. I wanted to hunt him down and end his life right now. Micha didn't seem to notice the pheromones he put into the air. So the bond was working as intended? I'm fucking confused. Maybe I should have a doctor visit the estate.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Is something the matter, my lord?" Gerard watched as I dug my claws into a straw dummy with a confused look. To be fair, it had been quite some time since I took my anger out on something made for it.

"I need the imperial doctor to come by." I snarled as I ripped through another straw dummy.

"Are you feeling unwell?"

"No." I snapped.

"Is there something the matter with the little lord?"

"No." I sure as hell hoped not. "Stop questioning me and just summon the damn doctor!"

"Yes, my lord," Gerard said with a bow.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"It's been a while since you summoned me, Lord Ronak. What can I help you with?" Doctor Rayner entered my office and bowed his head. He had his medical bag with him and even wore his white doctor robes. You would have thought I called him over here for a real medical emergency.

I waved at the sofas and stood to join him at the other. "I take it you know plenty about omegas."

"Indeed, I do. I have been working for the imperial family for over thirty years now, so I've dealt with my fair share of omegas through the years. Is this by chance about your omega?" He wiggled his finger towards his own neck, and I nodded.

"Why…" Where the fuck do I start? "Does it seem like other alphas can still smell him?"

"Oh? Your omega is a male, huh? I wasn't aware of that, you've been keeping all the information on them such a secret."

"I fucking expect it to remain that way if you wish to keep your job." I snarled. Damn, he'd better not run his mouth.

"He can still be smelled by other alphas, huh? Is he perhaps dominant?"

"Dunno." Even when I asked Micha outright, he said he wasn't sure. His parents probably couldn't afford a proper doctor to check.

"How do you not- no never mind…" Doctor Rayner pushed his glasses a bit further up his nose and stared at the coffee table for a moment. "If he's not dominant, then that is quite the peculiar case. If he is dominant, then it's not that big of a mystery." He paused for a moment as if gathering his thoughts. "Dominant omegas are a bit odd. When marked, they can't smell other alpha's mating pheromones, but they can smell a small range of aggressive or defensive pheromones that other alphas can produce. The unfortunate part is that even when marked as a dominant omega will still produce mating pheromones for alphas to smell. Even if he doesn't feel attracted to an alpha, they may still try attracting him."

An annoyed growl escaped me, causing the doctor to flinch. "I have to tolerate bastards coming after what's mine?!" I snapped.

"A-as long as he isn't intentionally putting out mating pheromones around other alphas, it shouldn't cause you a problem." My eye slightly twitched. Not a fucking problem?! People have fucking eyes! The moment people find out Micha is an omega, he's going to have moron's flocking to him. He was like a damn people magnet. All it took was one of his smiles and…

"Why does my chest feel weird when I'm around him?"

"Your chest feels… weird? Could you elaborate?"

"My heart starts beating rather rapidly. I figured it's because I become easily stimulated by him, but it does it even when I'm not feeling stimulated."

My irritation skyrocketed as Doctor Rayner stifled a laugh. He tried covering it up with a cough, but it was all too clear that he was laughing. "May I ask a question in return? What made you mark this omega?"

What made me mark him? "He smelled nice and I wanted to make him mine."

"You wanted to… okay… and you seemed to become agitated when other alphas came into the picture."

"Fucking hell. Of course, I become agitated. He's mine! What don't you understand?!" What sort of gibberish was this damn doctor talking about?!

"I see… and you enjoy being around him and his pheromones? Like a desire to be close at all times?"

"Yes," I grumbled. I wouldn't have fucking marked him if I didn't. What good would it be to mark someone I fucking hated?

"Do you find yourself watching him often?"

"Yes…" Where the hell was he going with this?

"Do you find yourself thinking about him often? Even when you're busy doing something else?"

"Maybe."

"Have you thought about plans for the future? Specifically, ones that involve him?" Doctor Rayner was starting to get on my nerves. Did he know what the fuck was wrong or not? I nodded my head in annoyance. "Then the answer is rather simple. I'm rather surprised that you weren't able to surmise it yourself. Have you perhaps fallen in love with your omega?"

Love? Fucking hell. Were he and Olivia smoking the same shit? "I didn't ask for you to lead me to some bullshit answer-"

Doctor Rayner snickered slightly and looked away. "How unfortunate for your omega that his alpha can't even understand his own emotions. I'm partially aware of the difficult childhood you lived, but maybe it's time to let those things go and move forward with your omega. If you don't believe me, then continue exploring that feeling on your own and draw your own conclusions. Did you have any other questions?"

I shook my head and waved my hand towards the door. Doctor Rayner stood and left me to my thoughts. Me… in love with Micha? I admit that I like him, but love is just an obnoxious feeling that morons flaunt about. It's probably just the bond mark, messing with my mind. That's all…

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gerard

My fist gently rapped the mahogany door three times, and I opened the door, but promptly closed it. "Please wait here for a moment," I said, addressing the jeweler who was accompanying me to my lord's office.

"Of course. No problem at all." The gentleman said with a smile. Of course, you're going to be agreeable. It's not every day you get to meet with a future archduke and sell them something.

I quickly stepped through the door and closed it behind me. "Is everything okay, my lord? You said you were ready for the jeweler's arrival." Granted, he just grunted in response, but that was the average response I got from him, so how was I to know that today would be different?

I couldn't believe my eyes. Since when does my lord slump so lifelessly on the sofa? What could he and the doctor have talked about? "Do you think love is a real emotion?" Pardon me? Did he expect me to know the answer to that?

"I wouldn't have the slightest idea… Don't you think you should ask a fellow human that question, my lord?" I felt very few emotions, and those I did, did not include love. I wouldn't have the slightest clue how to answer such an absurd question.

"Olivia talks about it all the time." He mumbled while staring blankly up at the ceiling.

"Olivia tends to read romance novels in her free time. She only acquired that folly from there." I wasn't sure why Olivia had become obsessed with mortal's reading materials, but she had. When she wasn't following instructions or managing the staff, you could bet that her nose would be in a book. It was a strange habit.

"Romance, huh… Do you think Micha thinks I'm romantic?" Why is he asking me all these questions?

"Have you even done anything romantic for the little lord?"

"No…" My lord slid a little further down the sofa as he continued to despair.

"Did you not summon a jeweler for such reasons?" Surely the jeweler wasn't for his own desires. My lord rarely wore jewels that weren't enchanted.

"Not really… My original desire was simply to make him even more mine…" I didn't particularly follow his logic…

What's that word that Olivia used… "Why not take the little lord on a date? You were taking him somewhere this weekend, were you not?"

"We were going to go to the adventuring guild and to the Elutra fields… Is that an acceptable date location?" You're asking the wrong person… You should be asking Olivia such a question…

"Assuming that both parties are fine with the idea, then I would probably consider it to be a date. Now, did you want to see the jeweler today or should I have him return another day?"

My lord sat up, but didn't seem all that pleased. "You can send him in."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ronak

"And this here is a beautiful pink garnet. It's really all the rage with women these days. It's a beautiful light pink that just sparkles when the sun hits it." The jeweler had sweat running down his brow as I stared at him in annoyance. All the jewels he was showing me were complete shit. Nothing was even remotely worthy. "I-is there something you had in mind? Perhaps we could look into having something custom-made?"

"Custom?" I snarled.

"Yes, of course! Silly me. Obviously, you'd want something no one else has for their omega. Let's start with a type of gemstone. Did something catch your eye, or was there a certain type of gemstone that I could acquire for you?"

I glanced up at the clock. This was taking far longer than I expected. It was partially my fault for not getting anything done for the last two hours, but I refuse to accept the blame. It was the doctor's fault for spouting such shit. "You only have one tiny, ugly red gemstone. That's hardly worthy of my attention."

"Ah! S-so you prefer the color red… I see. How about I prepare you some red gemstones to look at, and we can go from there."

"Get out of my sight." I snapped. He was nothing but a waste of my time. He only had low-quality shit. I needed something far better than what he had to offer. The jeweler closed his box of jewels and scrambled out of my office. Good riddance. "Gerard."

"Yes, my lord?" He said as he poked his head into my office.

"Get me the top jeweler in the capital. None of this shit."

"I contacted him once, but I will try again, my lord."

"No trying. Get. Him." I stared up at Gerard with irritation.

"Yes, my lord."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Micha

"Where are you going?" I almost jumped out of my skin as Ronak appeared next to me in the alley. Ack! Wh-why can't he ever make a sound?!

"I-I'm just headed into town… is that not okay?"

Ronak stared at me suspiciously and grabbed my wrist. "No." Wh-what?!

"L-let go! I made plans!" Ronak slowly released my wrist, but took a step closer to me.

"With who?" Was he still bothered about the whole Americ thing yesterday, or was he still being weird from last night? He wouldn't tell me what happened, but ever since he went to his estate to get some work done, he's been acting strange. "What are you doing wandering about alone?" Gah! He really was being weird! I did this all the time before meeting him. What's the problem now?!

"I-I'm just meeting up with those cute kids… R-remember Luna, Marge, and Ollie?" Ronak let out a grunt, and I honestly wasn't sure if that was a yes or a no… "Are you coming with me then or…" Are you going to go back from where you came? Please pick option number two… I'm still rather annoyed with you and would prefer being alone.

"You're not wandering around by yourself," Ronak said while grabbing my hand. He looked rather out of place, but I don't think I could get him to change his mind. He was being weirdly clingy…

"Okay…" I continued to wander down the streets until I got to the right area. At least I thought it was the right area…

"Micha!" The three children cheered as they ran over to me.

"Good morning! Did I make you wait?" I asked as the kids swarmed me.

"We weren't waiting long at all!" Luna said as she smiled up at me.

"Thanks again for healing my leg. Look, the bruise is all gone!" Marge said as she extended her leg for me to see.

"You brought your alpha!" Ollie said, pointing towards Ronak, who was still lurking behind me. Gah, this brought back slightly unpleasant memories… Ronak and I were on better terms, but it was still weird.

"Mmm, sort of, he followed me here." I crouched down low to be level with the kids. "So did you three do what I asked?"

Luna grabbed my hand and excitedly jumped up and down. "Yep!" She began giggling loudly as Ronak swooped down and picked her up.

"What did Micha ask you three to do?" He asked in a low voice as if trying to hide his question from me. D-did he think I was blind or just deaf?

"He asked us to find out if there were other childwen in the awea whose pawents can't affowd medical tweatment!" Luna whispered back to Ronak as if it were some sort of secret. It was… a little cute…

"We're going to heal them all!" Ollie exclaimed with his chest puffed out like he was the one healing them.

"Are we ready to go?" Marge asked, taking my hand.

"Yep." I smiled. Marge led the way as we wandered to the first house. Ronak was being… rather cute with Luna… Ollie got jealous and insisted on being carried too so Ronak scooped him up as well. My face became a bit warm as we walked through the streets. It feels like we're a family… Gah, what am I thinking? It's too painful to think about stuff like that…

We came to the first house, and Marge knocked on the door. The parents were a bit skeptical when they saw us, but I convinced them to let me heal their son. He had an infected cut that ran from the top of his leg to his foot, and it was starting to fester, but with my help, he was easily healed. "Onto the next house!" Ollie shouted from Ronak's shoulder. I couldn't help but snicker as he almost fell off, but grabbed Ronak's head to steady himself. Even Ronak quickly reached up and grabbed his ankle so he didn't fall off. Pft, Ronak's hair is all messed up. Ollie tried to fix it, but it didn't help much; if anything, he made it worse.

"C-come here…" Ronak approached, and I got him to squat so I could fix it. Don't stare while I fix your hair… Y-you're going to make me blush… "Ollie, don't climb, Ronak. If you fall from that height, you could get hurt."

"You could just heal me!" He acted like he was invincible, which was cute, but definitely not true. I might have healing magic, but I wasn't all-powerful.

"I can't heal everything, Ollie. If you get hurt badly enough, not even I can heal that. So please be careful."

"Okay. Sorry to worry you, Micha!" Agh! These kids were just too cute! So well-mannered! I-I want them!

We wandered part of the capital and healed the kids that Marge knew about. Word spread, though, and on our walk back to their house, we got stopped by all sorts of folks who wanted healing, many of whom were homeless or poor. I did my best, but some things I couldn't heal, like one woman asked me to return her sight after hot oil splashed her eyes as a child. I felt awful, but had to explain that there were just things that I couldn't heal. I wasn't a god after all.

Ronak snickered as we escaped a rather large group of people. "Are you aware of what they're calling you?"

"Umm, no… They were calling me something?" I didn't hear anything.

"Holy saintess, are we almost done?" Ronak smirked, and I stared up at him with wide eyes. Gah! S-saintess?! Argh! My face is going to turn pink again!

Luna tilted her head to the side. "But Micha is a boy; he should be called a saint."

"Mmm, but sis, had you not told me that Micha was a boy, I would have thought he was a girl. He's really pretty." Ah, you're so cute, Marge!

Luna leaned down from Ronak's arms and poked me in the chest. "But he doesn't have any boobs."

Ronak snorted so loudly that I was worried he was going to drop the kids. "LUNA! That's inappropriate! Don't say such things or touch other people's chests!" Marge chastised her sister with a bright cherry-red face.

"But, I'm touching Wone-nack's chest wight now..." She patted Ronak's chest with a cute look on her face, clearly oblivious to the difference. Gah! Her poor enunciation of his name was so cute!

"Th-that's different!" Her sister squealed. "You don't poke!" Ronak had to sit the kids down because he was silently laughing so hard he was shaking. Wow, really mature Ronak… Thanks for handling the situation like a mature adult…

"C-come on, kids. We're at your house, here, g-give these to your mother for letting me hang out with you." I passed them all the baked goods and food from my storage that the families had given me as thanks for healing their kids. I refused to take their money, but some of them just wouldn't let me escape without taking something. "If it's too much, then share with your friends." It's not like I needed the food.

"Bye, Micha!" They waved happily as we turned to leave.

"W-will you stop it already?! I-it's not funny!" I whined. I wanted to smack his head, but I was just too short. This giggling brat!

Once we got into the alleyway, Ronak grabbed my wrist and pulled me close as he melted down into his goopy travel spell. I couldn't help notice, though, his eyes kept darting down to my chest as we traveled, which started getting on my nerves.

"What's your problem?! Wh-why do you keep looking at me?!" I uncomfortably covered my chest to keep his lecherous eyes away.

"It's less of a problem and more of an observation." Ronak's face was shockingly pink, and a wave of embarrassment hit me from him.

"What?!"

"I'd better not tell you. You'll be embarrassed." He scratched his cheek with a finger. I-I already was…

"T-tell me!" I can't handle him being so vague like that!

"If you insist, but I'm warning you it would probably be best if I didn't… First, I thought about how cute you would look if you did have… breasts-"

"ACK! P-please stop!" Oh my gosh! Please stop talking! I'm having instant regrets! H-how embarrassing! He imagined what I would look like if I were a w-woman?! Gah!

"Let me finish!" His face slowly became a bit pinker. "Then I decided that it doesn't matter, and I like your chest the way it is. It's so sensitive, and when I bite you, you make the cutest sounds. There, happy?" GAH! No! How is that supposed to make me happy?! I want to crawl under some covers and never look at you again!

I covered my face with my hands. "P-please stop talking!" Steam would have been billowing from my ears from the heat my poor face was radiating. D-did Ronak just admit he likes my flat chest?! W-what a weirdo!

Needless to say, we weren't able to look each other in the eyes for the rest of the night after that…
