Chapter 157 - The Blood of Resentment

Upon sensing Santiago's warnings, Harry behaved like a nervous old man and said in a cautious tone, "I heard that in this place you have some things, you know, things that you do business with and that might interest me…"

Santiago seemed to want to see what the old man's intentions were, so he fixed his gaze on him for a long while. Meanwhile, Harry's expression remained indifferent, showing only his interest in negotiating.

Seeing this, Santiago tilted his head to the side, closed the small hatch of the door directly, and did not say a single word.

Harry's expression cooled, but he had no intention of moving from that place, so he remained where he was.

The identity of an old man could lower these people's vigilance and at the same time make his words carry a certain degree of authenticity.

What do people who sell something illegal need the most? They require a constant flow of strange people who bring them money, just like a banker who only charges a management fee. They are not afraid of the people they work with as long as they are something they can control.

So these people should not be afraid that someone like him would buy their products, since he was not a threat. After all, what can an old man do?

After waiting a few seconds, there was still no movement inside. Therefore, out of desperation, Harry extended his hand with the intention of touching the iron door, but before his hand could knock on it, the door was opened after a few more seconds.

"What kind of business do you want to do here, old man?" This time a different person opened the door. Unlike Santiago, the man who opened it was very skinny and seemed to be drugged.

The dark circles under his eyes and his bare upper body covered in scars showed what kind of person this man was.

Harry pretended ignorance and said directly, "Those things you're selling, I was told that I can buy whatever I want just by coming to this place."

The man leaning against the iron door twisted his neck in an unnatural way and scratched it. "How much do you want to buy?"

Harry did not hesitate this time. He did not say how much he wanted to buy, but instead chose a very general statement. "A large amount, I'm a very generous old man."

"A large amount?" The man against the iron door stopped scratching himself and looked at old Smith to confirm. "Are you sure?"

Harry nodded and said, "I'll be throwing a party, and that's something we must not lack."

Seeing this, the person standing by the iron door looked behind Harry, then opened the iron door completely and gestured with his head toward the inside for him to enter. "Come on, old man, get in."

Seeing that he had been granted entry, Harry smiled and walked very calmly inside.

As soon as he entered, a gun suddenly appeared from the right and was pressed directly against his temple.

Harry's expression did not change. He only raised his hands and looked to the right out of the corner of his eye. There were three people there, one burly man and three skinny men, and the one holding the gun was Santiago.

"Haha, I suppose I made you very nervous. As I said a few minutes ago, I just want to buy what you're selling in this place for a party with young prostitutes and my friends."

However, these people did not respond. Instead, they looked at the person who had closed the iron door again.

"Santiago, there's no one." Feeling their gaze, the person who closed the door scratched his head nervously.

After that, the one who spoke was the burly man named Erick. "Lower the weapon, Santiago. That old man is a customer."

Santiago stared at old Harry for a few more seconds before lowering the gun.

Harry also carefully withdrew his raised hands and looked directly at the burly man inside. For some reason, he knew that this man had more authority than Santiago, but he had never seen him before.

"A foreigner…"

Before Harry could process the details around him, Santiago inside observed him for a few seconds, took a small bag of white powder from his arms, and said in an interrogative tone, "Hey old man, do you want to buy something like this?"

Harry came to his senses instantly, ignored the four skinny men surrounding him, including Erick in the back, and nodded silently.

Seeing this, Santiago smiled oddly and said, "I don't give a shit if you want it, just don't consume it here because I don't want you to die of a heart attack… Anyway, show me how much you have."

After saying this, the four people who had been surrounding Harry suddenly took a few steps forward. Two of the four restrained his movements, and the other two touched his body.

Although Harry was calm, there was a hint of impatience on his face, as if he hated what these criminals he was about to kill were doing.

"I'm serious. If you don't want to sell, I'll leave immediately."

Santiago said nothing and watched as his two men responsible for the search found only two thick envelopes of money.

"Are you trying to rob this poor old man? My son, this is not the way to do business. You'll scare away many customers with such a rough way of working."

Hearing this, Santiago looked at Harry, made a gesture to his men who had finished patting him down, took the two envelopes in his hand, then opened the seals of each envelope and took out the money inside to take a look.

After completing this step, Santiago looked at Harry and asked, "Do you want to buy this much?"

"That's my intention, but I'm getting closer and closer to getting the hell out of here and taking my business somewhere else. You're not the only ones selling in the city, the Colombians also have dealers here." Harry's tone was more hostile, showing his obvious authority as an old man who has lived his life.

As he spoke, Harry pointed at the gun in Santiago's hand.

"I would also be delighted to buy a weapon like yours."

Santiago put the two envelopes in his hands and continued asking, "What do you want to do, a dying old man, with these things?"

Harry knew this was the final moment, so he took a deep breath and said, "The drugs are to feel what it's like to be high, and the gun will be to take my life once I finish testing the effects of the drug…"

He said this very calmly, which made everyone present raise their eyebrows and look at the old man in surprise.

"Haha, damn lunatic…" Santiago laughed and asked the people behind him to let the old man go. "Suicidal old man, I like you. Come with me."

The rest of the skinny guys also looked at Harry with smiles and followed their boss.

With a calm expression, Harry scanned the surrounding environment and followed the steps of this group of people until he understood what was going on.

Now that he had passed these people's test, this result surprised him, but now that he was ready, his murderous intent toward the people in front of him grew stronger.

The building he was in was an ordinary low-rise one, but it certainly was not as ordinary as it seemed. He thought there must be something inside, but he never imagined that what he would find would be something so cruel.

There are small rooms on both sides made of wooden boards. Each small room only has a cloth hanging from a rope, which is a door that blocks the view.

But the details were so poor that nothing could be hidden at all. Through the gap, Harry could see girls lying down or sitting one after another, with different outfits and obviously different nationalities.

Some were sitting there in a state of confusion, and others were simply lying there like silent corpses.

Some had disheveled hair and their faces could not be seen. With their heads raised and motionless, they looked dead.

Others simply stared at him as he passed, with no light in their eyes.

There were even people who were practically being abused…

It was shocking. The more Harry looked, the more he could not bear to contain his anger. The fury in his gaze grew stronger and stronger, until his whole face became somewhat rigid.

Judging by the restraints and syringes on the ground, Harry knew that these women had been drugged and then turned into objects for sale by these people.
