Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

I arrived at the door of the captain's office, my heart pounding nonstop. With a nod on my throat, I walked closer to the metal door, sliding open, Captain Hox was sitting on his desk with his hands on his chin, giving a cold stare. My body felt heavy, and I couldn't move. "Please sit," he said. I took a seat and started looking around, avoiding eye contact. He leaned back on his chair, placing his arms on the armrests, "The reason I called you here is because it has come to my attention that you were acting a bit odd earlier today. Care to explain?" "Oh, I just didn't get enough sleep last night," I said. "Are you sure?" he asked. "Yes, sir, just a bad dream that kept me awake." I said as I sat there tensed up, "Very well, don't let it happen again." he said, I nodded, "Yes, Captain, it won't happen again." "You are dismissed," I got up from the chair and walked out. Once I was out of his office and the door closed behind me, I let out the biggest sigh of relief.

As I walked back to my room, I noticed that my body was still tensed, as if it was preparing itself for something, but I was not sure what. In my mind, I kept hearing "run run run" but kept ignoring it. I turned in the corridor to my room when I saw several ship guards outside my room. I quickly walked back and hid myself against the wall. I took a peek carefully so they wouldn't see me, and a guard came out of the room and took out a communicator. "We searched the room, Captain, we didn't find anything suspicious," he said, "Captain? Did Captain Hox send them?" I asked myself, they walked away, their footsteps echoing in the corridor. I walked slowly to my room and opened the door; they had left my room a mess, but that was not what worried me; what worried me was what they were looking for.

I started cleaning up the room, putting everything where it belongs, including the mattress, which was flipped upside down. Once I was down, I lay on the bed, tired; it was an eventful day, my eyes felt heavy, as I closed them and drifted to sleep, I heard that voice again, but this time it was different: "You are in danger," the voice said, "you must escape, now!" the voice demanded, "Wake up!" I woke up and saw FN-2032 standing next to the bed. "What are you doing here?" I asked, "What am I doing here? What are you doing here?" You are late for training," he said, confused. I looked at my watch, and he was right, I must have slept in. "Are you ok? You are sweating like a puffer pig," he asked. "Yeah, I'm fine, let me wash my face and change." I got up, rushed to the bathroom, splashed water on my face, and stared at myself in the mirror. "What is happening?" After that, I quickly changed clothes and exited the bathroom. "We can go now," I said, and we walked out of the room and headed to the training area. Neither of us said a word the whole way there, and silence was deafening. Something was going on and I needed to find out what it was.
