' How long will I keep running, how far do I need to go...' I kept asking myself as I ran through the dark forest looking behind to see if I was still being followed.
' I can't go on for so long. How long will I hold on. I feel my consciousness slowly sipping away.' As I kept running in the forest that seemingly had no end and kept thickening.
My mind kept giving me blaring signs. Red warning signs about what I may find in the depth of the forest. But I shrugged it off. Atheist it wouldn't be as scary as what was after my life.
But as I went farther into the forest, I saw something that was quite surprising. I saw a man in black robes calmly picking plants in the forest. He seemed to sense my presence behind him.
"Hello, Anything you need for wandering into this forest?" He asked without looking back.
" Mister, I am currently in a predicament. There is someone after me or something " I whispered out the last part.
" Mm. I see. I will help you after I am done picking out these herbs." He said calmly. But I was anxious. I looked back and I didn't see the thing from earlier.' Maybe I was hallucinating. But it felt too real to be an illusion.' I mumbled under my breath.
After he was done, he calmly stood up and moved to me. And I finally got the full view of his face. Drop dead gorgeous is all I say. But what drew me in most were his golden eyes. I felt like he could see right through me.
" Come and let me take a look at your wounds."
