The night was eerily still,
but beneath that silence, a storm was brewing.
Candles flickered in Belle's room,
and the priest stood in the center, his holy book open before him.
Belle's parents stood behind him, their faces pale with fear.
"Please, Father," her mother pleaded,
"end this curse… free our daughter from that spirit!"
Tears streamed down Belle's face as she stepped forward.
"No! Don't hurt him! Thomas isn't evil…
He loves me!"
The priest's eyes turned cold.
"This isn't love, child. This is deception —
a spirit's trick to claim your soul."
Suddenly, the whole room trembled.
Windows slammed shut, and a strong wind began to swirl around them.
It wasn't just a storm — it was him.
Belle screamed,
"Thomas! Don't come! They'll hurt you!"
But it was too late.
Thomas appeared, his form glowing faintly in the flickering light.
His eyes — full of pain, full of love — met hers.
"Belle… I can't leave you alone."
The priest raised the holy water and splashed it in the air.
A burst of light filled the room, and Thomas staggered,
his ghostly body flickering like a dying flame.
"Belle…" his voice trembled.
"If my presence brings you danger, then I must go.
But my love for you will never fade."
Belle fell to her knees, sobbing,
"No! You can't leave me!
I don't care about danger — I can't live without you!"
Thomas reached out, trying to touch her tears,
but his fingers passed through her skin —
like he was nothing more than a whisper of air.
"Someday," he whispered,
"I'll find a way back to you…
maybe in another form,
maybe in another time…
but love never dies, Belle."
And with that, a blinding light filled the room.
When it faded, Thomas was gone.
Belle's hands clutched only emptiness,
but her heart still throbbed with his presence.
She lifted her gaze toward the sky, her voice breaking,
"I'll wait for you, Thomas…
even if it takes an eternity."
The room grew still once more —
but the air still carried his scent, his warmth, his promise.
It was as if he had left a piece of his soul behind…
just for her.
