Logan was back in the room laying down on the bed scrolling through Ariel's pictures on IG. The door flew open and Conrad walked in. Logan left her IG before sitting up.
"Where have you been?" He asked and Conrad walked to his bed. He started carrying some necessary things.
"With Ariel. We're heading to California today" Conrad said.
"Why?"
"Her mum needs a spell to get her healed from a disease like that. I can't let Ariel stay devastated so I have to help her" Conrad said and he nodded.
"I'm leaving you in charge of Ashley and the school. The spiders aren't dead yet, when I get back, we'd go after them" Conrad said.
"Why can't we eliminate them before you go?" Logan asked.
"Cos there's no time" Conrad said.
"We can freeze time and just go attack them" Logan said and Conrad pocketed the weapons he carried before facing Logan.
"It won't be as fun as it would be when they can fight back. Just relax" Conrad said and Logan sighed.
"But what if they come when you're not around, what then?" Logan asked and Conrad went to the closet picking out a black leather jacket.
"Then you'd fight them, you're strong enough to do that" He said and patted his shoulder before walking to the door.
"Promise you won't let anything happen to Ariel." Logan said and Conrad kept mute.
"Promise!!" Logan snapped.
"She wouldn't get hurt, I won't allow it" Conrad said.
"Good cos if I find out she gets hurt under your care one more time, I will take over" Logan said and Conrad walked out of the room.
Logan blew out air from his mouth before looking at his phone. He picked it up and went to Ariel's picture. Mere looking at her smile made him smile.
★» ASHLEY'S ROOM »★
"Where are you going now?" Ashley asked and Ariel put on a black jacket on top of the black fitted tank top and a pair of black jeans. She tied her hair up in a ponytail and faced Ashley.
"I need to get a remedy to kill the disease trying to kill my mum so I would be absent from school only today. I won't take much time" Ariel said and Ashely sighed.
"Be careful out there Ariel" Ashley said and Ariel nodded.
"Same as you" Ariel said and Ashley smiled.
"I will"
"Be with Logan always. I'm sure he'd be able to protect you" Ariel said and Ashley pouted.
"Who told you I couldn't protect myself?" Ashley asked and Ariel chuckled.
"I know you can but everyone needs backup and he's your backup so be with him always" She said and Ashely smiled before hugging her. Ariel smiled as she reciprocated the hug.
They broke the hug after a while and they smiled at each other before Ariel carried the spell book. She went out of the room and out of the school meeting Conrad waiting for her.
"We won't take time right?" Ariel asked walking to him.
"It depends on how fast we go" He said and entered the car. She sighed and got in with him. He ignited the engine and drove off speedily.

"All of the spiders we send keeps dying. What do we do now?" Tessa asked and the leader stared at her before standing up from the chair.
"Then attack, yourself"
"What if I do that and I die, what then?" Tessa asked he chuckled darkly.
"I don't actually give a damn. Take the fangs from a spider and input it's venom into Ariel. She's not a full heretic yet so we can still kill her."
"I can't do that when Conrad is still there" Tessa said and the leader sat back down on his chair.
"Definitely you can't. Conrad and Ariel aren't even around so I have three jobs for you to do." He said and looked at her.
"I'm listening"
"First, reduce the time level of Taylor's demise. She has to die before Ariel and Conrad gets back." He said.
"Okay?"
"Second, attack the school and make sure you kill an average of 30 students and put the blame on Ariel"
"Okay?"
"Third, bring me Logan and Ashely" He said and she chuckled.
"Are you being serious right now? How do I get Logan and Ashely?" She asked.
"Only one of them is a supernatural being. It won't be hard when his main focus is to try to protect the human" He said and she sighed before nodding.
"If you don't complete these tasks and you get back, I'd kill you and replace you with your sister" He said and she nodded and bowed before turning to leave.
"I'm watching you Tessa, don't try anything funny" He said and she turned a side view of her face to him.
"I know that." Tessa said and put on a black cloak that covered her eyes before teleporting out of the house.
The guy smirked evilly.

Alexa was still sleeping due to overdrinking yesterday. She squinted her eyes slowly and opened it. She used her eyes to scan the room before sitting up slowly with a groan.
"I'm in my room" She muttered holding her head as she looked around.
She remembered what happened yesterday and she smiled.
"She's no longer upset, that's so good to hear" She muttered and got down from the bed before walking slowly to the restroom to shower.
After a while, she came out wearing a big tee and a black short before going to the kitchen to prepare herself breakfast.
It didn't take much time for it to get ready. She got what she needed and went to the couch. She switched on the TV and took a sip from her tea.
She saw a person in the TV that looked exactly like Alicia's boyfriend and she blinked staring intently at the TV.
She rubbed her eyes and then she opened it but she saw no one there. She frowned before switching off the TV and then she heard a knock on the door which frightened her a bit.
"Who is it?" She asked but got no response.
"Who is there?!!" She yelled but got no response.
The banging of the door started again and she dropped the tea before rushing to the kitchen to get a knife.
She walked to the shaking door before pushing it open. She rose the knife and was about to stab the person in front of her but she stopped.
"What the heck?!" She exclaimed staring at Marvin, a friend of hers.
"It's nice to see you too Alexa" He said and she smiled.

The car stopped at the exit of the city and they both got down.
Ariel looked back at the city before sighing facing front.
Conrad held her hand and she looked at him before letting out a small smile. She faced front and they both walked out of the city completely.
They faced each other and held each other's hands.
"Remember the spell?" He asked and she nodded.
"Good. Proceed" He said and she rose their combined hands to the sky forming a triangle with her fingers.
She closed her eyes and inhaled and exhaled before speaking.
"Conjunctio animus, duo in uno,"
Conrad closed his eyes as well.
"Translocatio immediata, stato altero."
Ariel stretched their combined hands outward as if forming a portal.
"Nomen loci, [California], clarus sumus,"
Ariel said pointing at a map in the spell book which was already on the ground. The book flipped pages and it landed on the page where Muir woods was.
"Portalis apertus, duo transitus"
She said it and opened her eyes. A blue portal was at their right hand side and Conrad opened his eyes.
"Good job, now let's go before it closes" Conrad said and Ariel nodded carrying her spell book.
"Invisio" She muttered doing a sign with her hands and the car became invisible. She smiled before going into the portal same as Conrad.
Immediately they arrived at the woods, the portal closed and Ariel fell on her knees.
