Chapter 108 - 《DXD: Transfer Student》Chapter 108: Pure Concentration

Draconis stepped out of Nino's room just in time to see Miku and Yotsuba emerge from theirs, doors swinging open in perfect sync.

Miku blinked, surprised. "Draconis, why were you in Nino's room?"

Yotsuba, ever the bundle of energy, fired off questions rapid-fire: "Yeah! Wasn't she taking a bath? When did you get here? Did something happen with Nino?"

Draconis shrugged, voice calm. "Nino nearly slipped, so I helped her back to her room."

Miku hesitated, sensing that Draconis didn't view entering a girl's bedroom as anything particularly private or scandalous. Yotsuba just nodded, taking his explanation at face value—her mind too straightforward for complications.

"Is Nino okay? Did she get hurt?" Yotsuba asked, concern clear.

"She's fine. She'll be out soon," Draconis replied, heading downstairs to the living room. His eyes landed on the stack of test papers scattered across the table. He picked them up, scanning each answer with focused intensity.

A few minutes later, Nino appeared, cheeks tinged pink as she spotted Draconis deep in concentration over their homework. She busied herself making tea, then set a cup in front of him.

"Here. Drink some tea," she offered, a little awkward.

Draconis glanced up, smiled. "Thanks."

"…You're welcome." Nino's heart thumped, watching him pore over their answer sheets. How could someone so meticulous and gentle be a demon—the kind from legends, feeding on human souls and negativity? He was nothing like that. Calm, patient, and quietly sharp, Draconis radiated none of the arrogance or cruelty she'd imagined.

"…Wrong," Draconis murmured, setting the papers down and rubbing his temples.

"Uh, what's wrong?" Miku asked, cautious.

He met her gaze, voice dry: "All of it."

The room fell silent. The three girls exchanged embarrassed glances.

Would Draconis be angry? He seemed more amused than anything, sighing inwardly. Was he destined to spend eternity tutoring these quintuplets?

Despite their beauty, Draconis genuinely wanted them to succeed academically—to fulfill the contract he'd made. Demons keep their promises, after all.

"Forget it. I'll just spend more time tutoring you," he said softly, not the least bit angry. "Where are Ichika and Itsuki?"

"Oh, they went shopping. Should be back soon," Yotsuba replied, grinning in relief.

Moments later, Ichika and Itsuki returned, arms loaded with shopping bags. Clearly they hadn't held back. Their family was wealthy; their father doted on his five daughters.

"Hey, Draconis! You're here!" Ichika called out, then froze as she noticed the test papers on the table. Both girls' faces fell, eyes darting away.

"Sit down. Why are you looking at me like that?" Draconis teased, noting Itsuki's cautious distance. She relaxed when he flashed a gentle smile, winking at Nino and Miku.

"I told you Draconis wouldn't blame us! He's super easygoing!" Itsuki declared.

Miku and Nino nodded, though they couldn't help thinking: then why were you standing so far away?

Draconis raised an eyebrow. "You seem to have the wrong idea about me."

"Huh? Isn't it true?" Itsuki shot back.

Draconis smirked. "I just know you can't force things. So I've learned to be patient."

Five minds, five personalities—Draconis had long since stopped expecting miracles. He'd convinced himself not to hope for too much.

"As long as my expectations are low, you can't disappoint me. Any progress is a pleasant surprise," he said, deadpan.

The girls: "…??"

Just how low are your expectations…?

Ichika let out a dry laugh. "That's a little harsh…"

"Don't worry about it. I believe you'll all graduate. It's what you commissioned me for, and I trust you'll pull it off."

His words caught them off guard. Yotsuba jumped to her feet, determined. "Then we'll work even harder! We'll surprise you every day!"

Draconis couldn't help but smile, giving Yotsuba a thumbs up. "Glad to see your reading comprehension finally kicked in."

"Hehe!" Yotsuba flashed a peace sign.

The other sisters exchanged glances. Only Yotsuba's straightforward mind could grasp Draconis's meaning so quickly.

"Oh, right…" Itsuki piped up. "Can we take tomorrow off? There's a fireworks festival in East Town at seven."

"Yeah! Let's all go!" The sisters' eyes sparkled as they turned to Draconis.

He crossed his legs, playing the part of the boss. "I only accepted a commission to supervise your studies."

Nino pouted. "Commission, commission… all you think about is commissions!"

She glared at him. "Fine, we'll commission you again! Demon-sensei?"

Draconis arched a brow. "That works."

Commission meant compensation, and that always got his interest.

"Deal! Tomorrow, fireworks festival!" Ichika grinned.

"On one condition—finish your homework first," Draconis said calmly.

The sisters groaned and pleaded, but Draconis just smiled. No matter what, he wouldn't drop the homework commission.

With all five sisters present, Draconis gathered up study materials and spent the afternoon tutoring them. Of course, he used a touch of magic to help them lock in the knowledge.

Only after a chorus of exhausted pleas did he finally relent. Today, he'd infused plenty of "essence" into their studies.

It wasn't until eleven at night that Draconis returned home, finally done for the day. Only after meeting the Nakano quintuplets did he realize just how exhausting tutoring could be.

He teleported back, lazily grabbed some milk from the fridge, and headed for his bedroom, stripping off his gear as he went.

Inside, two girls were already sprawled on his bed, their clothes tossed on a nearby chair: Rias and Asia.

Thin silk sheets covered their middles, the fabric so light it threatened to slip off with every movement, revealing their perfect figures beneath. Maybe Rias had corrupted Asia—now even she was used to sleeping nude. Or maybe she'd simply picked up on Draconis's preferences.

Draconis smiled, watching the pair. He showered, tossed their laundry in with his own, and returned to find both girls awake.

They'd heard him in the bathroom.

"Back already? Was work okay?" Rias sat up, yawning.

"Not bad," Draconis replied, smiling. He'd picked up a new commission.

"Thanks for working hard, Draconis," Asia murmured, drowsy.

"Sorry if I woke you. Go back to sleep." Draconis kissed Asia's cheek, earning a sweet smile.

They scooted aside, making room. As soon as Draconis lay down, Rias and Asia pressed close, using him as a human pillow.

Warm, soft bodies pressed against his skin. Sleep was going to be impossible.

He turned, wrapping his arms around Rias's perfect figure. She snuggled closer, eyes shining with affection. Her body heated, sending unmistakable signals, and she kissed him deeply.

So much for sleep.

Draconis adjusted his position. Rias was instantly filled, gasping before breaking into a sultry smile.

Asia soon joined in, not to be outdone.

Over an hour later, both girls drifted off with satisfied smiles, and Draconis closed his eyes, slipping into a cultivation trance. He'd gotten used to swapping sleep for training.

The next morning, Draconis woke early, fully recharged. The girls were still asleep, sprawled beautifully across the bed. He couldn't resist waking them with a gentle touch—both had truly enviable figures.

After a round of morning exercise, he headed to school. The day passed uneventfully, and evening found him teleporting to the quintuplets' house.

To his surprise, all five sisters were diligently working at the table.

"…Am I seeing things, or are you actually doing homework?"

The fireworks festival's pull was real—it had motivated them like nothing else.

Draconis sat beside Miku, watching her work through problems. She blushed, glancing at him nervously, but soon relaxed, focusing on the task.

"This part's wrong. You need to solve it like this," he explained gently.

Miku erased and rewrote her answer. "What about the rest?"

"You got everything else right. You've been working hard," Draconis praised.

Miku's heart fluttered at his words. Draconis was so close, so patient—it reminded her of what he'd said before. He'd always believed in them. She couldn't let him down.

She smiled shyly. "I thought about what you said… and wondered if I could really do it. Now I've finally found some courage, so—you have to take responsibility, okay?"

"Of course. I know you can do it," Draconis replied, voice warm.

Nino, watching the two, felt a twinge of jealousy. She coughed. "Um, I have a question I can't solve."

Draconis moved to her side, prompting a rare smile from Nino—one Ichika noticed with a curious tilt of her head.

Meanwhile, Yotsuba leaned in to whisper to Miku: "Miku, do you like Draconis?"

Miku froze, cheeks flaming, but didn't deny it.

Draconis, with his keen hearing, caught the exchange but said nothing. Teenage girls and their crushes—perfectly normal. He'd just pretend not to notice.

He supervised their homework until, miraculously, all five finished before six o'clock.

"Yay! Fireworks festival!" Yotsuba cheered.

"Change! We have to wear yukata!" The girls bolted upstairs, giggling and rummaging for outfits.

Draconis stroked his chin, listening to the chaos above. Yukata for the festival… traditions overlapped everywhere.

Was it going to play out the way he imagined? He'd find out soon enough.
