Chapter 169: I'll Handle Everything
Her soft body pressed tightly against him, warm body heat transmitting through fabric.
Their entanglement carried Sasuko's unique sweetness yet held several parts more stubborn demand than before. Yu could sense her rapid heartbeat plus the slightly trembling fingers clasped behind his neck.
"Sasuko?" Mikoto's footsteps had already sounded outside the door, voice close at hand.
At this critical moment, Yu's Mangekyo Sharingan flickered slightly.
Space began distorting. The two embracing figures vanished from the room.
Mikoto gently pushed open the bedroom door, only seeing the room empty, autumn wind lightly stirring the not-quite-closed curtains.
"Strange..." She stood at the doorway murmuring, gaze sweeping the meticulously organized room. "I clearly sensed Sasuko's chakra just now."
In the desolate Kamui dimension, the two embracing figures slowly manifested, still maintaining their lips-and-teeth-entwined position, lying on the ground.
Without external disturbance, the originally restrained kiss gradually turned intense. Yu's hand, originally supporting Sasuko's waist, slowly ascended, gradually taking the initiative.
Sasuko let out a light hum, slender fingers unconsciously clutching his shirt fabric tighter. In this space belonging only to them, all concerns were cast aside, leaving only each other's breathing and heartbeats.
Not until Sasuko's cheeks flushed crimson, breathing so rapid she could barely catch her breath, did Yu withdraw slightly.
Silver threads stretched between parting lips. Sasuko softly leaned in his embrace, lashes trembling lightly, chest still rising and falling slightly.
Sasuko breathed somewhat heavily, the flush on her cheeks not yet faded.
She raised her head, eyes shimmering with moisture yet still stubbornly pursuing. "Now... can you tell me?"
Yu gazed at her kiss-swollen lips, raising his hand to knead Sasuko's soft, tender cheek.
"You care this much?"
"I care." Sasuko answered without hesitation, reaching out to grasp his wrist. "More than anything."
Under Sasuko's intense gaze, Yu sighed lightly, raising his hand to rub his brow, showing some fatigue.
"Really just a small problem during training." He deliberately made his tone sound relaxed. "You know I often research new jutsu. Occasionally chakra circulation isn't quite smooth."
Sasuko narrowed her eyes, clearly completely disbelieving this explanation. She stepped forward half a step, raising her head to stare straight into his eyes. "You think I'm a three-year-old? Since childhood you've practiced more jutsu than I've even seen. When have you ever had this kind of situation?"
She raised her head, extending slender fingers to lightly tap her still-swollen lips. "Look. If you don't tell the truth, I'm going to tell Mother. Not just about today—also about... that incident last time."
Yu's expression instantly became awkward.
He looked at her slightly pouting lips, which still bore traces of their earlier kiss, appearing especially alluring in the Kamui dimension's hazy lighting.
"You're threatening me?" He shook his head helplessly, yet his tone carried some indulgence.
"I'm concerned about you." Sasuko retorted righteously, fingers unconsciously clutching his sleeve. "...Do you know how chaotic my heart's been this entire day?"
Yu remained silent briefly before reaching out to gently wipe her eye corner. "Don't cry."
"Then tell the truth!" Sasuko grasped his wrist as though suddenly thinking of something, voice carrying trembling. "What's really going on? Is it... related to Father and Mother?"
This question made Yu's eyes flicker slightly, though he quickly recovered calm. "Don't let your imagination run wild."
Sasuko pressed closer relentlessly, nearly nose-to-nose with him. "Then tell me the truth."
Their breathing intertwined at this extremely close distance. Yu could clearly see himself reflected solely in her eyes.
He didn't know what to say, ultimately only gently embracing her.
"Really nothing major, just a small issue during training." His voice was low yet gentle. "I'll handle everything."
Sasuko buried her face against his chest, saying dully, "Always like this..."
"This time is real." Yu gently stroked her long hair. "I promise you, this is the last time."
The more Yu spoke so evasively, the stronger Sasuko's unease grew. What kind of problem required such concealment?
In her urgency, she impulsively conceived the idea of using genjutsu to force the truth from him.
She leaned forward to pin Yu beneath her, hands cupping his face, expression utterly serious. "Yu, look into my eyes."
"?"
Before Yu could react, Sasuko's Mangekyo Sharingan had already manifested—yet at this moment, Yu's Mangekyo remained activated.
The next second, Sasuko's eyes suddenly lost focus as she softly collapsed into his embrace.
Not good—the Mangekyo wasn't deactivated.
Yu's heart tightened, yet seeing the person lying against his chest, he couldn't help sighing with relief inwardly. If Sasuko continued questioning, he truly didn't know how to handle the situation. He lifted the limp Sasuko into his arms. Both vanished from the Kamui dimension.
Yu appeared in Sasuko's bedroom holding her, gently placing her on the bed.
He knelt on one knee bedside, meticulously helping her remove her shoes, exposing fair, delicate feet.
Next, he unfastened her jacket buttons. The garment opened accordingly, revealing the thin sleepwear beneath and beautiful collarbone lines.
When covering her with the quilt, he leaned down to plant a light kiss on her forehead before releasing the genjutsu she'd fallen under.
After completing everything, he watched quietly for a while before Yu vanished in place.
After Yu left, Sasuko, who'd been sleeping, opened her eyes not long after. She shook her still somewhat dizzy head, surveying her surroundings to discover herself in her room, Yu's scent still lingering on her body.
She recalled everything that had happened before—she'd planned to use genjutsu on Yu, yet somehow ended up caught instead.
Thinking this, Sasuko puffed her cheeks. He'd actually used genjutsu on her first, all to escape.
But Sasuko truly had no way to deal with Yu.
His strength was unfathomable. If he insisted on concealing something, probably no one in this world could force the truth from him. He was always like this—silently shouldering all burdens, never willing to share with anyone, not even those closest to him.
Thinking this, Sasuko could only sigh deeply.
