Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 Blame the Dog

Henry waited a few minutes and heard no more groans from the slope.

He noticed 42 more white beads and 54 more gray beads under the progress bar. Feeling it was enough, he put away the granite and sprinted silently down the slope.

The two German Shepherds in the factory started barking, and their barks grew more frantic.

This made Tom and Fabio's hearts pound; the enemy must be back!

Tom gritted his teeth and shouted, "Machine gunners, attention! Fire a flare."

With night vision, Henry became a child of the night, moving like a fish in water, able to run at high speed as if it were daytime for a normal person.

Henry was expected to reach the vicinity of the factory gate in about thirty seconds.

However, he was only halfway through his sprint.

"Bang!" A red light shot straight up.

The guards on the two sentinel high towers saw Henry, masked, running at high speed.

"Quick, quick, adjust your muzzles!" Both groups were in a frantic scramble.

In fact, it was very difficult to make four or five people cooperate as one, especially in tense situations.

The watchtower behind the factory gate couldn't adjust immediately. After all, the muzzle was previously aimed at the top of the slope, and now it was at the middle, and Henry was still moving at high speed.

Conversely, another machine gun, which had originally been aimed at the mountain road entrance, adjusted relatively quickly. It was ready in a few seconds and continuously sprayed bullets at Henry for a full 7 seconds, equivalent to firing 24 rounds.

Although most missed due to Henry's high-speed movement, 3 shots still hit, causing 1 green bead empty shell and 10 white bead empty shells to dissipate.

Eleven guards, more than 20 meters behind the gate, darted out and fired wildly at Henry. Some were even through the barbed wire, causing sparks to fly on the wire.

When Henry was about 20 meters from the first watchtower, he took out a 5-pound TNT, activated a 3-second delay electric detonator, and threw it towards the 10-meter high tower.

Just by slowing down for this one second, Henry was hit by the second machine gun twice, causing 10 white bead empty shells to dissipate.

Henry immediately took out the granite and held it in front of him, half-crouching and completely shrinking behind the rock.

This scene left the soldiers in both watchtowers stunned.

The eleven guards scattered more than twenty meters behind the gate also saw the granite appear out of thin air, equally disbelieving.

"Boom!"

The first watchtower was immediately sent flying by the high-temperature, high-pressure shockwave of the tnt exploding almost point-blank.

"My God, can he do magic?"

"He's a devil!"

"Lord, save us!"

Under extreme shock, the sentinel on the second high platform felt his arms and legs weaken, and even the machine gun's firing rate significantly decreased.

Henry decisively put away the rock and sprinted towards the watchtower dozens of meters away.

Sure enough, another flare went up.

By the time the second group of machine gunners adjusted, Henry had already rushed to about 30 meters from them, and was hit by 3 more shots.

Henry again activated a 5-pound tnt and threw it onto the watchtower's roof. This slight delay caused him to be hit by the machine gun 3 more times.

Henry immediately released a granite and hid behind it.

"Boom!" After a huge explosion, everything quieted down.

A total of 1 green bead empty shell and 50 white bead empty shells were expended to remove the two Gatling Machine Gun watchtowers.

Damn it, it's all that dog's fault!

Henry put away the rock, ran to the barbed wire about fifty meters near the factory gate, squatted down, placed two 50-pound tnt with a 15-second delay, then turned and ran away at full speed.

During this delay, Henry, who was being focused on by the 11 guards, was hit by 4 shots.

Sparks flew from the barbed wire as it was hit.

Counting 12 seconds silently, Henry stopped and turned around, taking out two rocks to block in front of him, then taking out a thick oak table and hiding beneath it.

Based on Henry's judgment of his speed, he had already run about 120 meters.

Two seconds later, as the flare dissipated, there was a huge explosion.

There was a continuous "whoosh, whoosh, whoosh" sound in the air, as if hundreds or thousands of skill Flying Daggers were shooting.

Even from such a distance, the two rocks in front of Henry still made several "ding, ding" sounds, though the wooden table was fine.

Once everything settled, Henry put away the rocks and the wooden table, carefully watching his steps, and slowly walked back towards the factory gate—there were many wires and nails on the ground.

Upon nearing the original barbed wire location, Henry found that a large hole, big enough for an adult elephant to walk through sideways, had been blown open, and two large pieces of barbed wire lay on the ground like rags.

Most of the wires, nails, and barbs on them had flown off to unknown places.

All eleven guards who had been happily shooting at him earlier were down, with a few still moaning.

Henry took out two double-action pistols and systematically eliminated them one by one, then walked over and collected them into his space.

The last guard still emitting a faint moan was exceptionally tall—estimated to be over 1.95 meters, with bulging muscles all over his body. Unfortunately, even the most numerous and solid muscles couldn't block the barrage of dozens of nails and wires.

Henry cleanly released him with a single shot, putting him out of his misery.

Immediately, a green bead containing a skill or talent appeared under the release life progress bar.

Henry, delighted, continued to search for the sentinels from the two watchtowers, finding that they had all been released. So he likewise collected them one by one into his space.

Since he had revealed his hand tonight, Henry intended to release everyone who might have seen the rock appear out of thin air.

There were many ways to keep a secret, and Henry chose the simplest and most effective one.

Henry walked deeper into the factory and found that there was no one along the way, likely because the ordinary workers had already left for the day.

There were many gas lamps inside the factory, bright enough even for ordinary people.

So Henry could tell at a glance if anyone was there.

Although the factory area was large, many places were for processing ore, and the office area was not large.

Henry looked through the rooms one by one and quickly found the supervisor's office.

After a careful search, his Thief LV3 skill and powerful eyesight once again led Henry to discover a secret room behind the office bookshelf.

So he pulled a bull's head decoration on the bookshelf, causing the bookshelf to slide open to the right.

'Danger!' Henry instinctively took a large sidestep to the right.

"Bang, bang, bang!" Three bullets shot out from within the space.

If Henry had remained in place, he would have been hit in the chest and abdomen.

Henry instantly drew a double-action revolver and fired 6 shots into the space.

"Ouch!" A white man in his thirties collapsed in the space, blood quickly seeping out from under him into a pool.

Henry stepped into the secret room and found only 3 red, blue, and green gems, which looked quite large, so he collected them into his space.

Still not giving up, Henry continued to tap and knock on the walls and floor. After more than ten minutes of effort, he found nothing.

He had no choice but to stop, turn over the man's body on the floor, and found that he had been a handsome man just ten minutes ago, with a pouch at his waist.

With such good looks, where couldn't he make a living?

Yet he ran to this desolate place, probably a member of the McKinley family, and even set up a secret room that could be opened and closed from the inside.

Henry opened the pouch and found 126 us dollar banknotes and coins, which was a small but welcome addition.

After collecting him as well, Henry went outside, reset the secret room, and continued exploring. He soon discovered two warehouses, one large and one small.

The large warehouse contained production and military supplies. Henry collected 2400 pounds of TNT, 4600 pounds of dana explosives, over 300 fire detonators and electric detonators, 56 Winchester Rifles, 68 Colt double-action revolvers, 16 Smith & Wesson No. 3 single-action pistols, 2 Gatling Machine Guns, and about 100,000 rounds of various ammunition.
