Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Leeks, Oh Leeks

"Yiner, come out." Yang Yunhai called softly.

A flash of blue light appeared and Yiner's graceful figure floated beside Yang Yunhai. She quickly bowed and said crisply, "Hello Sister Zhuqing, my name is Yiner."

'So beautiful.' Even Zhu Zhuqing, who was quite confident in her own looks, couldn't help but lose focus for a moment. But she quickly recovered, smiled, and said generously, "Yiner, no need to be restrained. Treat this place as your home. From now on, we're family."

"?" Yang Yunhai was stunned for a moment. Zhu Zhuqing's words were without a doubt sending him a message.

'Is she saying this because she's worried about my safety, so she made this decision?' He couldn't help but guess.

Catching sight of Yang Yunhai's expression, Zhu Zhuqing slightly turned her face to the side, smiled faintly, and didn't say more.

"Mm mm, Sister Zhuqing is the best." Yiner nodded happily again and again.

Zhu Zhuqing returned the smile, then turned to Yang Yunhai.

Yang Yunhai came back to his senses, his expression complicated for a moment. His eyes softened, mixed with apology, and he gave Zhu Zhuqing a faint smile as if expressing thanks and understanding. When Zhu Zhuqing responded with a small nod, he turned to Yiner and said after some thought, "Yiner, your ability to communicate and sense through Blue Silver Grass is much stronger than mine. From now on, I'll have to trouble you to help keep watch over the valley. If anyone approaches, notify me immediately. And as I've said before, without my permission, don't come out in a physical form, and don't use your abilities if anyone gets near. That would be too dangerous."

"If you're discovered, both you and I could lose our lives."

"Mm mm, Yiner will remember." Yiner nodded quickly.

"Good." Yang Yunhai nodded, then turned to Zhu Zhuqing with a smile. "Zhuqing, it's late. I'll go make dinner, you stay here and chat with Yiner. She just entered the human world, she doesn't know much. Teach her."

"Alright." Zhu Zhuqing nodded.

Yang Yunhai then turned and left the bedroom, heading straight for the kitchen.

Before long, after eating their fill, Zhu Zhuqing pulled Yiner into the bedroom to continue teaching her about human life and soul masters. Feeling he had no place to cut in, Yang Yunhai helplessly went outside, sat on a chair, and gazed at the sunset while digesting.

After a quarter hour, he returned to the bedroom.

Seeing Yang Yunhai come in, Zhu Zhuqing stopped speaking, nodded to Yiner, and began cultivating.

After a few minutes, the bored Yiner started communicating with the Blue Silver Grass outside, observing the surroundings.

As she looked, she noticed glowing motes shimmering on the Blue Silver Grass. Turning her head, she saw Yang Yunhai sitting cross-legged, similar golden motes gathering around him. Her thoughts stirred and she sent out a message to the grass.

The next moment, responding to their emperor's call, countless golden motes of light floated toward the house.

"Hm?" Feeling a sudden surge of energy entering his body, Yang Yunhai immediately sensed the source and instantly realized it was Yiner pushing it. The vibrant life energy clearly came from the Blue Silver Grass in the valley.

'The Blue Silver Domain, gathering all rivers into the sea?' He thought to himself.

'So, Yiner even retained her domain talent.'

'With her kind nature, this must be through communication, letting the Blue Silver Grass voluntarily share their energy with me rather than forcefully extracting it. Not something that can last long, and since the surrounding grass is weak, it can't provide much. But having this once in a while is a great help.'

Thinking so, he didn't hesitate and focused on absorbing.

Feeling happy to have helped Yang Yunhai, Yiner smiled sweetly and quickly expressed thanks to the Blue Silver Grass.

"Buzz buzz." A large part of the valley swayed joyfully in response.

Half an hour later, the energy around Yang Yunhai thinned and his cultivation speed returned to normal.

Time passed. Several hours later, Yang Yunhai finally finished his night's cultivation.

Opening his eyes, he saw Yiner resting her chin on her hands, lying on the bed staring at him, while Zhu Zhuqing stood by tidying his clothes.

He smiled, stood up, and walked over, saying with a smile, "Yiner, thank you just now."

Just that half hour of aid had given him a soul power gain equivalent to a month of hard training. Compared to drawing lightning into his body, this method of assistance was effortless and painless, completely safe.

"As long as I can help Yun, I'm happy." Yiner smiled sweetly, quickly sitting upright, causing ripples to rise and fall.

Zhu Zhuqing frowned slightly in doubt.

"Yiner just now used her ability to communicate with Blue Silver Grass. She had the valley's grass voluntarily share part of their energy with me, letting my cultivation speed soar for a short time," Yang Yunhai explained.

Zhu Zhuqing was surprised.

'So she has such an ability… but this life energy should only work for Yunhai.' She thought silently.

Then she saw Yang Yunhai's face show a bit of embarrassment. "Zhuqing, Yiner has only recently awakened, she's still not used to the blank space inside the soul bone. During the day it's fine since she can follow me and see the world outside, but at night…"

"Mm mm, Yiner doesn't like it inside. I want to stay with Yun." Yiner said innocently.

"…" Zhu Zhuqing's face flushed red, instantly understanding Yang Yunhai's helpless look.

This was indeed a bright, permanent light bulb… and bound at that.

"Yiner, why don't you sleep with Zhuqing tonight? I have something to do, I'll sleep later," Yang Yunhai suddenly suggested.

Yiner's face showed reluctance.

"Yiner, I can keep teaching you more about the human world," Zhu Zhuqing said gently.

Staying in the same room with both of them, she couldn't accept. Sleeping alone, she wasn't at ease either. In the end, she could only compromise.

"Alright then," Yiner nodded slightly. She was still curious about human knowledge.

"I'll go back to my room then." Yang Yunhai nodded, picked up his clothes, and walked out.

He bathed quickly, then sat at his desk and began writing a letter.

The Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum was perfect for his Chrysanthemum Douluo teacher. Ghost Douluo should be considered too. But now wasn't the best time to call them over—soon the team would go to the Great Spirit Arena for battles and later travel to major cities for training. Meeting would be inconvenient. So he'd wait until later.

But he could still write a letter ahead of time.

He included his thoughts on developing soul skills, the path toward self-created skills, and his insights into the Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum. As someone steeped in internet culture, he had no shortage of wild ideas. He figured his teacher would find inspiration in it.

With effort, his teacher could one day become the kind of master who truly guided and protected his disciples.

With that thought, his pen moved swiftly.

Before long, he finished, stored the letter, and stepped outside to the lush Blue Silver Grass.

Tonight, their help had been tremendous. He thought they deserved a reward.

'Leeks, oh leeks, hurry and grow strong!'
