Chapter 155 - Chapter 155: Master

Half a month later, Shrek Academy.

The team members ended their holiday and gathered together, led by Xiaogang to the newly built training grounds deep in the back mountain.

"This is…" Looking at the strange buildings and equipment around, many of the students showed curiosity.

Xiaogang spoke, "From now on, you'll be conducting advanced training here. Every area in this forest, every piece of equipment, has its own use. Combining them together will allow every part of your body to be trained thoroughly."

"And where we are now, this is the comprehensive training ground." As he spoke, he hung a marked map on the side.

He began to explain in detail.

'As expected of teacher.' Tang San's eyes lit up. He instinctively believed this was Xiaogang's own creation.

In his impression, even the specialized training ground designed over generations within the Tang Sect of his previous life was not as refined as this.

It showed just how knowledgeable Xiaogang was.

'So this is what the Heaven Dou Royal Academy had been guarding so strictly these past days.' Ning Rongrong was shocked inside.

She didn't believe for a second that Xiaogang and Flender thought this up. The designs involved so many projects and so many different devices — how could that have been created overnight? And if they had thought of them one by one, how could they not have built and tested them earlier?

But Shrek Academy suddenly had all of this ready. Clearly, there was a complete set of blueprints!

'Flender came to my sect not long after the holiday started to borrow craftsmen. If they had designed this themselves, why wait until the New Year holiday to build it? And if Xiaogang really had this ability, he wouldn't have directly used the training notes that Qin Ming and Yu Tianheng brought out from the Heaven Dou Royal Academy earlier.'

'This was obviously obtained from elsewhere!'

'Thankfully, Father didn't agree to lend out our craftsmen back then.' Ning Rongrong sighed inside as she realized the consequences.

Glancing at Xiaogang, who was relaxed and explaining with confidence as if all this was his creation, she felt speechless.

Of course, she didn't show it. On her face, she still pretended to be surprised.

Xiaogang, satisfied by everyone's reactions, straightened his back unconsciously and explained with even more confidence.

Two quarters of an hour later, after all explanations were finished, Xiaogang turned toward Qin Ming. The latter opened the document in his hand and smiled.

"The Master has already prepared training plans for each of you. From today, you must strictly complete them without slacking."

He then distributed the individual schedules.

The students took them one by one, and after reading, their scalps went numb. Not only was the schedule tight, but the intensity was also overwhelming.

Ning Rongrong frowned slightly and raised her head.

"Master."

"Speak," Xiaogang nodded.

"These training items are too intense for me. I don't think I can complete them all." Ning Rongrong said.

Xiaogang frowned. Each of these items had already been tested personally by Flender and Liu Erlong, who had given difficulty evaluations. He didn't think there would be any problem.

But considering that Ning Rongrong was a support-type soul master, a girl, and her identity wasn't simple… if she got upset and left, it would be very unfavorable for the team. So he nodded.

"If you feel uncomfortable, you may reduce them appropriately."

'Anyway, she can't possibly break through to Soul Ancestor before the competition. The improvement in her support will be limited regardless.' He turned toward the others.

"The same applies to the other support-type soul masters. Combat-type soul masters must strictly follow the plan."

"…" Ma Hongjun, who was just about to speak, shut his mouth instantly, looking bitter.

"Begin your training." Xiaogang said flatly. "Qin Ming, Zhao Wuji, you two will supervise."

Time flew. A month later—

"Brothers, I've broken through rank 40!" Early in the morning, Dai Mubai came down to the hall, face full of joy.

'Yang Yunhai, Zhu Zhuqing, when the tournament comes, I'll make you two suffer!' His heart was full of resentment.

"Congratulations, Boss Dai!" The others quickly offered their congratulations.

The hall was filled with laughter.

Because of Xiaogang's new training plan, plus the assistance of the medicinal baths, although they were exhausted every day, the results were clear. Their cultivation speed had increased again, progressing at a rapid pace.

'If you keep training like this, you'll burn out your potential, and you're still smiling?' Ning Rongrong thought, smiling faintly without speaking.

During this time, she had returned to her sect three times and had already explained the situation to her elders. Her Grandpa Sword had given his evaluation.

The problem was simple: the rate of consumption exceeded the replenishment.

'Luckily, I requested to reduce my training intensity, and I also had advice from Grandpa Sword and the others.' She thought to herself.

Her cultivation speed had increased too, but in a sustainable way.

She even felt that Jiangzhu was a bit pitiful, so she guided her to reduce her training as well and invited her to train together. They exchanged soul skills, practicing control while allowing Jiangzhu to benefit from her own healing ability.

This way, there was no harm.

While thinking, she followed her teammates to the training ground.

"Zhao Wuji, take Mubai to get his soul ring," Xiaogang ordered calmly after hearing the news.

"Alright," Zhao Wuji nodded, leaving the academy with Dai Mubai.

Time passed. Half a month later, it was April.

At night, in the dormitory of Heaven Dou Royal Academy.

"Yun, I think I've broken through rank 40." Zhu Zhuqing opened her eyes with delight.

Yang Yunhai smiled. "Let Yiner check your Spiritual Power."

With her external spirit bone and a 35,000-year left arm bone, Zhu Zhuqing's body was already strong enough to handle a 10,000 year soul ring. The issue was her Spiritual Power, which hadn't caught up.

The Yearning Heartbroken Red herb had strengthened her body overall, including her Spiritual Power, but unlike Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew, it wasn't specialized. The improvement was slower. The only way was continuous training, mental fortitude, and gradually absorbing the medicine's power.

"Okay." Zhu Zhuqing nodded.

Soon, Yiner withdrew her hand and said, "Based on the Spiritual Power of 10,000 year soul beasts we've encountered, for those under 15,000 years without especially strong bloodlines, Sister Zhuqing should be fine."

In other words, against stronger bloodlines, there was still some risk.

Yang Yunhai nodded. "Then let's wait a bit longer. I'll ask Grandpa Dugu to take us both to get your soul ring."

"Alright." Zhu Zhuqing smiled.

Another day passed. Because Yang Yunhai had to constantly lead training, he didn't put much energy elsewhere.

Two months later, Dugu Bo brought good news: he had broken through rank 95. His martial soul had further refined and awakened a Dragon Transformation ability, doubling his strength.

He said he needed time to master this ability fully.

Yang Yunhai once again asked Yiner to check Zhu Zhuqing's Spiritual Power. It still wasn't enough.

The difference between a 1,000 year and a 10,000 year soul ring was immense — cultivation, body, and soul skill quality all leapt in level. He knew this well. So waiting a few more months was absolutely worth it.

So, they waited again.

Two and a half more months passed. Mid-August came, only half a month before the tournament.

At the Heaven Dou Royal Academy training grounds, Yang Yunhai smiled at his gathered teammates.

"The tournament is only half a month away. These past days you've all trained at high intensity. I think it's time to stop and rest."

"So, the special training ends here."

"You'll have half a month off. Use it to review and reflect on what you've gained. But don't forget — daily adaptive training must continue."

"Don't worry, Captain, I don't want to turn into a soft-legged shrimp the moment we step on stage," Yu Feng laughed.

The others nodded with smiles, promising not to slack.

Yang Yunhai nodded.

"Then let's head back to the dorm. We'll have dinner together, and afterward, you can make your own arrangements."

Everyone agreed and followed Yang Yunhai back.
