"A lightning orb of thirty percent water, seventy percent thunder." Yang Yunhai's golden eyes flashed, and the world before him shifted. Elemental energy of every kind appeared in the air, dazzling in myriad colors.

The lightning orb froze midair, then exploded uncontrollably on the spot.
"How is this possible!? You're a human, how can your control over the lightning attribute reach such a level!" The Deep Sea Demon Whale King was shaken. That wave of spiritual power had linked directly with the lightning element, detonating it in an instant. There was no mistaking it.
"Nothing is impossible." Yang Yunhai answered calmly. "Deep Sea Demon Whale King, how about we make a deal?"
"To kill me and take my bones—what is there to discuss?" The whale sneered, though it did not attack again.
"Why deceive yourself?" Yang Yunhai said evenly. "You've lived this long, don't you know that for a being of the lower world to become a god, one must condense a god position? Without one, no matter how much cultivation you accumulate, it's useless."
His tone shifted.
"Unless you can be like me, become a core of the plane, and possess the identity of a Child of Nature."
"You're a Child of Nature!?" The whale's tone changed, laced with disbelief. "Impossible. How could a human ever become a Child of Nature?"
"I already said—nothing is impossible." Yang Yunhai smiled faintly. "Deep Sea Demon Whale King, give up on the path to a god position. From all the knowledge I've gathered in the human world, it seems soul beasts cannot become gods. I don't know why exactly."
"At the very least, there has never been a single record of it. As for humans, there have been multiple precedents."

The whale king's roar shook the sea. Instantly, the waters churned violently as he bellowed, "Azure Wave Sea Domain!" Countless bubbles surged upward, dense and unending, shooting into the sky like a torrential downpour in reverse, enclosing hundreds of meters in every direction.
"Demonic Void Expansion!" A terrifying ripple of spiritual power swept out, dyeing the skies above a dark purple as the whale king's aura soared higher and higher.
Yang Yunhai's eyes gleamed gold. He clenched his right fist. "Thunder Prison!"
Crackle—!
Lightning filled the air. With a gentle push of his palm, arcs of thunder surged forward.
Boom, boom, boom, boom!
The bubbles exploded one after another, turning the domain into chaos.
"Martial Soul True Body!"
Golden light surged from Yang Yunhai's body, dazzling and radiant, like a miniature sun. The surrounding space was instantly dyed gold.
The blinding light forced the Deep Sea Demon Whale King to shut his eyes and dive beneath the surface, unwilling to face the searing radiance.
From far across the ocean, Bo Saixi and Xiao Bai both sensed it.
"That aura—he's fighting the Deep Sea Demon Whale King?" Xiao Bai flicked her massive tail, cutting across the sea at great speed.
"You all continue guarding the sacred pillars," Bo Saixi ordered before vanishing in a flash.
The whale king broke the surface again, eyes narrowing in shock.
"So dense… such rich life energy!"
Before him, a towering golden tree stretched skyward, its height surpassing a hundred meters. Golden light coiled around its colossal crown, piercing the clouds. Above, dark clouds rolled in, lightning swimming like serpents within. The whale king's Demonic Void Expansion had been scattered like mist.
"Truly… a child of nature!"
Boom, boom, boom!
From the ancient tree's base, countless roots shot downward, spreading out with terrifying speed until they enveloped a radius of nearly a kilometer.
"Think you can trap me? Dream on!" The whale king's cold snort was followed by the violent sweep of his tail.
"Demonic Abyss Roaring Sea!"
The surrounding waters surged violently, a wall of waves a hundred meters high crashing down. The freshly-anchored roots quivered and recoiled under the force.
The whale king threw his head back and roared, "HAAAA—!"

The heavens split with thunder. Golden bolts cascaded downward, striking the whale's massive body. The submerged roots shimmered with lightning, weaving together with the falling bolts into a net of thunder. The entire kilometer-wide sea became a storming ocean of electricity.
"Raaagh—damn it!" The whale king's body spasmed, his massive frame paralyzed as his domain was forcibly disrupted. Rage swelled in his chest, burning hotter than ever.
Yang Yunhai's expression remained calm. He pressed his palm down. "Life Domain!"
Golden brilliance spread from the roots like wildfire, staining the dark waters with radiant light. "Life Deprivation!"
The sea itself grew heavy. A terrifying suction force pulled at the whale king, stripping away his ability to draw upon the ocean. His absorption of water-element energy was cut to a fraction. Worse, his own soul power and life force began to drain continuously.
"Domain—Abyssal Devour!"
The whale king roared without hesitation, spiritual power detonating outward. Within three hundred meters around him, the golden glow was ripped apart, and he managed to claw back control of a patch of the ocean. The crushing pain subsided slightly.
From the depths, a second colossal whale emerged, her voice sharp with worry. "Husband, I will aid you!"
"Go back! Guard our child! This is between him and me!" the whale king bellowed, eyes never leaving the golden tree.
Yang Yunhai's thoughts flickered. 'As expected of a near-million-year beast that endured nine lightning tribulations. This kind of thunderpower would have crushed the Tianmeng Iceworm instantly. Even channeling the ocean to redirect the current, he's still tanking a massive share of it. To withstand this much… his body and cultivation really are monstrous.'
Indeed—the original records claimed the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's body was already 99% at god-level. And now, seeing it firsthand, Yang Yunhai knew it was no exaggeration. All that was missing… was a godhood.

"Ha ha ha! So much life force! Child of Nature—you're truly delicious. Devouring you will guarantee my breakthrough!"
The whale king's laughter was wild as his jaws opened wide, purple energy condensing madly within.
Yang Yunhai sighed inwardly. 'In terms of devouring ability, this beast is indeed more refined than me. But… the fight's not decided yet.'
His hands clapped together. "Let's see whose will is stronger!"
The ground of the golden tree swelled.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Five massive wooden dragons burst forth, their
bodies twisting skyward.
Crackle!
A lightning bolt the thickness of a water tank fell, merging seamlessly with the dragons.
In a flash, they transformed—five colossal thunder dragons, their claws coalescing into spears of pure lightning.
"Roar—!" The dragons bellowed, lunging toward the whale king.
Above, lightning gathered once more. A golden barrier shimmered faintly across the roots, tinged with earthen brown—the effect of Yang Yunhai drawing on the seabed's power to fortify his Life Guard skill.
The Deep Sea Demon Whale King's eyes went cold. "Demonic Extreme Divine Light!"
A beam of concentrated violet obliteration burst from his maw, smashing against the golden cage and striking the golden tree's trunk.
Boom!
The sea erupted with a tidal wave.
Yang Yunhai's voice, calm and resolute, rolled through the storm.
"Deep Sea Demon Whale King, it's useless."
With the endless power of the ocean plants, the sea, and the very earth beneath, the roots healed instantly, knitting themselves whole before the whale king's eyes.
From the distance, Xiao Bai gawked. "He… he's already reached this level?"
"Xiao Bai, Senior Bo Saixi," Dugu Yan and the others descended from above, saluting.
"Yan Yan," Xiao Bai turned, eyes wide, "how does your man cultivate like this? His strength is rising too fast!"
Dugu Yan's lips curved in a soft smile. "We live in the forest. He's been constantly refining life energy to aid his cultivation. And don't forget the whale glue we acquired after the Shark-Whale battle. He used it with lightning-forging to temper his body. His physique now… can endure vast amounts of energy. Haven't you noticed? His first three spirit rings have already turned golden—each advanced to the 100,000 years level."
"This… this is insane. He doesn't even have bottlenecks anymore!" Xiao Bai muttered.
"Of course. You don't see how hard he pushes himself daily." Dugu Yan's pride was evident.
Xiao Bai rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes, your Yunhai is the best."
Her tone darkened slightly. "But defeating the Deep Sea Demon Whale King won't be that easy."
Dugu Yan only shook her head gently. "If Yunhai says he can do it, then he can."
"…Yan Yan, you're hopeless." Xiao Bai sighed, but kept watching.
Meanwhile, the five thunder dragons pierced through the collapsing whirlpool.

The heavens blazed white as lightning fell like divine punishment, striking dead-center in the whale king's domain.
"Arghhh—!" The colossal whale screamed, its body wracked with pain as its domain shuddered violently.
The thunder dragons seized their chance. Each hurled a lightning spear, stabbing deep into the whale's body.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions of light and blood burst forth, thunder weaving into a vast golden net that wrapped the whale's charred body, hooks and barbs digging deep into every wound.
Lightning crawled across every inch of him, while thunder rolled endlessly above.
"Enough! I admit defeat!"
The thunder spear halted two meters before the beast's eye.
'Damn it, why do I feel like this brat is more like the Sea God than I am…' In the God Realm, the Sea God couldn't help but grumble inwardly.
