Chapter 280 - 280: Ashveil’s Lightning Judgment

"Antenna Crash!"

In her full Seven-Tails form, the massive horn on her head struck toward Ashveil with tremendous force.

Ashveil smiled faintly, unshaken.

"You actually think changing your attack will be enough to defeat me?" he said, his voice calm.

Foolish. His Conqueror's Haki defensive barrier, he knew, could withstand even attacks from the Nine-Tails.

Boom.

The antenna slammed into Ashveil, but his Supreme King Haki armor absorbed the impact effortlessly. The surrounding air trembled, yet Ashveil remained completely at ease.

"I told you before, your attacks… mean nothing to me," Ashveil murmured, raising an eyebrow.

"Ashveil-senpai, the Seven-Tails is escaping!" Tobi called from above.

Ashveil realized then that the previous strike was a feint. The Jinchuriki was fleeing desperately, relying on her Tailed Beast powers.

"Good heavens," Ashveil muttered. He hadn't expected to be outsmarted for once. The Seven-Tails, despite her immense power, clearly preferred retreat over confrontation.

A wry smile flickered across Ashveil's face. After hunting prey all day, miscalculations were rare, but possible.

He activated his Flash ability, transforming into a streak of light and surging after the Seven-Tails. Deidara and Tobi sped after him.

At first, they could track Ashveil's movement, but in an instant, he vanished from their sight.

"What Ninjutsu is this?!" Deidara's eyes widened.

Tobi, beside him, suspected Space Ninjutsu, but even he could not comprehend the sheer speed and seamless disappearance.

The Seven-Tails felt Ashveil's terrifying pace and panic set in. She accelerated, gathering energy balls within her body. They launched like bolts of lightning toward Ashveil.

Buzz! The sky roared with electric energy as her blasts surged. Yet none detonated.

Confused, the Seven-Tails glanced behind her. The lightning had been frozen midair by a massive ice block.

Her mind reeled. Could Ashveil have done this? Did he possess ice abilities as well?

Before she could ponder further, Ashveil materialized as a blinding light and charged toward her. The sky darkened. Thunderclouds erupted, lightning streaking downward.

Deidara and Tobi were dumbfounded. The sudden weather shift was incomprehensible, yet Ashveil summoned it at will.

The Seven-Tails' unease deepened. The lightning wasn't natural—it was Ashveil's doing.

"He's proficient in lightning Ninjutsu… the entire sky bends to him," Deidara muttered, astonished.

Tobi's lips trembled as he admitted, "I don't know either. He's simply too powerful. Bloodline limits, elemental Ninjutsu, Defense… he might even master all five elements."

---

Ashveil unleashed his lightning attack. The bolts struck the Seven-Tails mercilessly.

Her Tailed Beast cloak could not withstand the onslaught. Her massive body plummeted from the sky like a broken kite, crashing into a crater below. Debris erupted around her impact zone.

Ashveil's expression remained calm. The outcome was exactly as he anticipated.

The Seven-Tails' face contorted in shock, confusion, and pain before she lost consciousness. Facing Ashveil, no composure could remain.

Ashveil turned to Deidara and Tobi. "Don't be idle. Seal the Tailed Beast."

Both were awestruck, yet they obeyed instantly. Working for Ashveil was now the mission of their dreams.

Ashveil stood aside, observing silently, while reopening his attribute panel. The Seven-Tails, now subdued, had provided him another surge in combat experience. His Conqueror's Haki had now surpassed twenty thousand points.
