"My number? That is quite a stretch, don't you think?" Haeun blurted, after concluding her coughing fit. Her number? What was he up to? And why would he ask her for it? They were barely friends.
Daerim gave his friend a puzzled look, his eyebrow shooting up. "Minho? Are you crazy?"
Minho blinked, realizing how that must've sounded. "Ah, yes… I'm sorry, I stepped out of my boundaries," he muttered, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
"It's fine," Haeun said quickly, her laugh coming out tight and unsure. She tried to play it off, but her cheeks felt warm, and her fingers wouldn't stop fidgeting with the edge of her sleeve. "I just—uh—wasn't expecting that."
Daerim stared at the both of them, his eyes filled with disbelief and shock. What the hell was going on? Why were both of them acting like this? His eyes fixed on the waitress in particular, noticing how she kept fiddling with her fingers.
