Chapter 53 - Section 52

If he had started small, from the ground up, and gradually understood the essence of the world and power, he might have truly become a revolutionary.

But, unfortunately.

He only understood the surface of many things, and with Sarutobi Hiruzen's manipulation, he was completely misled.

After realizing this, Uchiha Jin's mind was clear.

"What I want to say is still the same as before." Uchiha Jin said with a deep tone, "Nine-Tails, you are too strong!"

You are too strong!

Hearing this again, Shisui's face showed a hint of confusion.

However, he wasn't stupid.

After a moment of thought, he understood.

Whether it was the Nine-Tails, the Uchiha, or Hatake Sakumo.

These three things all had one commonality, which Uchiha Jin had expressed at the very beginning.

They were too strong!

Yes.

Like the Uchiha, how strong was Hatake Sakumo?

Anbu Captain, Jonin Squad Leader, Chief of the Interrogation and Torture Division.

Among Konoha's seven major power departments, Hatake Sakumo alone held three.

And a few months before his suicide, he was even bestowed the title of 'Half Hokage' by the Land of Fire's Daimyo.

It could almost be said that.

Before Hatake Sakumo's suicide, he was essentially half a Hokage.

And now?

Since Hatake Sakumo's death, the Anbu Captain position was taken over by Sarutobi Shinnosuke.

The Jonin Squad Leader became Nara Shikaku, and the Chief of the Interrogation and Torture Division became Morino Ibiki.

As for these three individuals, they shared a common characteristic.

They were all members of the Hokage faction.

Morino Ibiki came from a civilian background and only reached this point with Sarutobi Hiruzen's support.

Nara Shikaku, there's no need to even mention him.

The Ino-Shika-Cho were traditionally part of the Hokage faction; they would support whoever was Hokage.

Sarutobi Shinnosuke, that was even more obvious, he was Hiruzen's own son.

Good heavens!

He hadn't considered these things before, but now, prompted by Uchiha Jin.

After thinking it through carefully, a chill ran down his spine.

Was this still the kind-faced Hokage-sama he remembered?

The esteemed Half Hokage, Hatake Sakumo, died so inexplicably, yet the Hokage faction emerged victorious.

And then?

Hatake Kakashi joined the Hokage faction.

Just like that.

Hatake Sakumo's entire faction was completely devoured.

"Why?"

"This still doesn't make sense."

"Why did Hatake Sakumo commit suicide?"

Shisui's face was full of confusion; he couldn't quite accept it.

With his worldview shattered, he immediately latched onto a question and asked it frantically.

After all, this understanding was completely different from what he had imagined.

Uchiha Jin, however, looked full of emotion.

"This is precisely what I admire about Hatake Sakumo."

"He was a true ninja, which is why he could only choose suicide."

"He was worried about Konoha."

"If he hadn't chosen suicide, he would have had to contend with the Hokage faction."

"If Konoha's internal affairs were in chaos, would other ninja villages let such a good opportunity pass?"

"Conversely, as soon as he died, all problems could be solved."

"Konoha wouldn't fall into chaos because of it, and even to minimize the impact, Sarutobi Hiruzen wouldn't dare to touch his son, Hatake Kakashi."

"And that's exactly what happened."

"Hatake Kakashi became Namikaze Minato's disciple, thereby fully joining the Hokage faction."

"It was precisely by this point that the Hokage faction completely absorbed Hatake Sakumo's loyal followers into their ranks."

"Hatake Sakumo's defeat was also an inevitable outcome."

"Vileness is the pass of the vile, and nobility is the epitaph of the noble."

"How can a noble person deal with a vile one?"

"The more upright one is, the easier one is to deal with!"

"The so-called victory of the Hokage faction merely exploited Hatake Sakumo's unwillingness to see Konoha suffer."

"This is where I admire Hatake Sakumo, but I will never become him."

After saying these words, Uchiha Jin completely fell silent.

He had said everything he needed to say.

Saying more would only further confuse Shisui's mind.

This was just right!

Let him think and ponder on his own; only after he understood these things could they talk more.

Therefore.

Having done all this, Uchiha Jin simply lay on the sofa.

He closed his eyes, enjoying the sound of the waves and the golden sunlight on his head.

On the other hand.

Shisui, however, looked bewildered, his mind constantly racing.

He was drenched in cold sweat.

Clearly.

Shisui, whose intelligence was already high, was not as stubborn as Itachi.

It wasn't difficult for him to accept.

But, the more he understood.

The more pessimistic he became about the future of the Uchiha Clan.

What to do?

He kept thinking about this question, but for a long time, he couldn't find an answer.

Time slowly passed.

Shisui's face grew paler, and his eyes were filled with fear.

He was starting to distrust Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Although what Uchiha Jin said were just his conjectures, there was no actual evidence.

But, it still wasn't right!

For something as important as saving his clan, he couldn't afford any mistakes.

Wait... Uchiha Jin!
