Chapter 28 - The Unseen Bond

:) unseen bond.

Arion, a warrior who had faced down bears and rival clans without so much as a flinch, now trembled in the suffocating darkness of a royal wardrobe. His body, still reeling from the events of the night, was a battlefield of conflicting emotions. He was a man who was no longer in control of his own body, a man who was a prisoner of his own desire.

He could hear the soft, melodic voice of Kyon from the other side of the wardrobe door, the voice of a man who was a master of deception. He was a beautiful, placid prince to the world, but to Arion, he was an alpha, a beast, a man who held his deepest secrets.

He was a warrior, a Lord of the North, and he was now a man who had been taken, a man who had been claimed, and a man who, in his heart, was glad of it. But his body, a traitor to his mind, was still trying to reject it. A sharp, agonizing pain, a sucking and pulling sensation, flared up from the mark on his belly. He let out a low, pained groan, a sound that was quickly swallowed by the darkness.

He fell to his knees, his body trembling, and a wave of dizziness washed over him. The pain was so intense he thought he might pass out. It was a searing, burning sensation, a primal, overwhelming pain that was a direct result of the bond they shared. Kyon, a master of deception, was a master of pain, too.

The pain subsided, leaving Arion a sobbing mess. He was a man who had been brought to his knees by a single, unseen connection. He was an alpha, a powerful one, but he was now a man who was an omega to a prince, a prince who was a master of deception. He was in love with a monster, a man who had brought him to his knees, and he was terrified. He was terrified of the power Kyon held over him, terrified of the truth of their bond, and terrified of the future that awaited them. But more than anything, he was terrified of the fact that he wanted it. He wanted to be with Kyon, to be his partner, his consort, his omega. He wanted to live this lie, to be a part of this terrible, beautiful, and utterly true life.

He was a warrior, a Lord of the North, and he was now a man who had found his place in the world. He was an omega to a powerful, secret alpha, and he was home.
