Chapter 49 - The Possessive Claim

The Possessive Claim bête two brothers game:(

Cassian's hand tightened on Arion's throat, a possessive, suffocating grip that made it difficult to breathe. The rage in his eyes was a physical thing, and his other hand moved with a chilling purpose. He pushed Arion's tunic aside, exposing the unblemished skin of his neck on the side opposite the bandage. With a low growl, Cassian extended his alpha fangs, their sharpened tips glinting in the afternoon sun. He was going to mark him, to claim him, a public and undeniable act of ownership that would forever be a testament to his victory.

But before the fangs could touch skin, a sharp, whistling sound sliced through the air. An arrow, fletched in the colors of the royal house, shot past their faces, a mere inch from their noses, and embedded itself with a sickening thud into the wooden post behind Arion.

Cassian's head snapped up, his fury replaced by a startled shock. Kyon stood at the edge of the training yard, his bow drawn, a second arrow nocked and ready. A slow, triumphant smile spread across his face, a beautiful, serene mask of pure malice.

"Not so good thinking about taking someone else's property, don't you think, brother?" Kyon's voice was a soft, melodic purr, but the words were a direct and deadly threat.

Cassian's eyes narrowed, his rage boiling over into a silent, volatile promise. He slowly released Arion, who stumbled back, gasping for breath, his hand flying to his throat. Kyon's smile widened, a final, public declaration that the battle for Arion was far from over. This wasn't just about a bodyguard anymore. This was a war of possession, a ruthless competition between two brothers, and Arion was caught in the middle.
