Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Cultivation Resources

Back in Victoria's apartment after the dimensional battle, Ryven sat quietly on the sofa while Victoria prepared tea in the kitchen. His parents had left an hour ago, satisfied with the explanations about their relationship and excited about his upcoming sect examination.

Ryven reached into his spatial ring and withdrew two different types of cultivation resources that the Law Realm experts had given him before departing. The items gleamed with power that made the air around them shimmer with law fragments.

In his left hand, he held a small crystal that looked like captured starlight mixed with liquid shadow. In his right hand, a beast core the size of his fist pulsed with contained law energy that his senses could barely process.

The sight of these treasures triggered a memory from earlier in the day, when he had approached the seven experts with a specific request.

Flashback - Higher Dimension Battlefield

After their combat testing had concluded, Ryven had sheathed his sword and turned to the group of Law Realm experts who were still recovering from their universal-scale battle.

"Before you all return to your duties," he had said, "I need to ask about cultivation resources. My advancement has been rapid, but my foundation still needs stabilization, and there are many laws I haven't mastered yet."

Elder Morrison had nodded understanding. "What kind of resources are you looking for specifically?"

"Anything that can help with foundation stabilization or law comprehension," Ryven had replied. "My current treasures are too low level to be useful anymore."

The seven experts had exchanged glances before Ancestor Silverwind spoke up. "We do have some items that might help, though they're quite rare and expensive."

Master Zhang had reached into his storage device and withdrawn a crystal identical to the one Ryven now held. "These are Chaos Crystals - they contain tiny amounts of pure chaos qi along with multiple fragmented laws. They're primarily used for law comprehension rather than raw power advancement."

"Chaos crystals are only naturally formed in chaos dimensions scattered throughout the universe," Ancestor Blackstone had explained. "The dimensional instability makes them incredibly dangerous to harvest, which is why they're so rare and expensive."

"We only have the low-tier versions," Elder Morrison had admitted. "The higher grades are beyond what most Law Realm cultivators can afford. Even these cost millions of standard cultivation credits each on the galactic markets."

Despite the enormous cost, all seven experts had contributed from their personal reserves. "Consider it an investment in humanity's future," Ancestor Redcloud had said as she handed over her crystals. "If you can advance to the level where you can protect our civilization, these resources are well spent."

In total, they had given him one thousand low-tier chaos crystals - a treasure worth billions of credits that represented decades of careful collection by some of humanity's strongest cultivators.

The second resource had been equally valuable. Law Realm beast cores from creatures the experts had personally defeated in their journeys across the galaxy. Each core contained not just massive amounts of concentrated energy, but law fragments that the beasts had cultivated during their lifetimes.

"These cores come from Law Realm beasts we've hunted in various dimensions," Master Zhang had explained. "Each one contains different law combinations depending on the beast's specialization. They should provide both energy and comprehension opportunities."

"Speaking of hunting," Ryven had said, "where can I find Law Realm beasts to hunt myself? Tianxing doesn't seem to have any creatures at that level."

The experts had looked pleased by his practical thinking. "Most inhabited worlds don't support Law Realm beasts," Ancestor Goldleaf had explained. "Their spiritual pressure would make life impossible for weaker beings. You need to hunt in specialized dimensions."

Ancestor Moonwhite had provided a crystal tablet with spatial coordinates. "This will take you to Primal Beast Dimension - a higher dimensional world specifically designed for Law Realm beast hunting. It's maintained by the Galactic Cultivation Alliance as a shared resource for advanced practitioners."

"The dimension contains beasts ranging from early Law Realm to peak levels," Elder Morrison had added. "But be careful - some of the ancient beasts there have been hunting Law Realm cultivators for millions of years. They're not just powerful, they're intelligent and experienced."

Present - Victoria's Apartment

The memory faded as Victoria returned from the kitchen with two cups of tea. She noticed the resources in his hands and whistled appreciatively.

"Are those chaos crystals? I've heard about them but never seen one in person," she said, settling beside him on the sofa.

"One thousand of them," Ryven replied, placing the crystal carefully on the coffee table. "Plus fifty Law Realm beast cores. The experts basically gave me their entire reserve collections."

Victoria's eyes widened. "Do you know how much those are worth? Chaos crystals are more valuable than most planetary economies. A single one could buy a small star system."

"Which is why I need to use them efficiently," Ryven said, picking up one of the beast cores to examine it more closely. "My foundation is only fifty percent stabilized, and there are still dozens of laws I haven't mastered. These resources should help with both problems."

The chaos stone and beast core in his hands pulsed with contained law energy that felt different from anything he'd encountered before. Instead of the pure elemental laws he was familiar with, the stone and core contained what felt like Gravity Law, Magnetism Law, and traces of Nuclear Force Law - fundamental forces that governed how reality operated at the deepest levels.

"The variety is incredible," Ryven observed, cycling through several different cores. "This one has Life Law and Death Law fragments. This one contains Probability Law and Causality Law. Some of these law types I didn't even know existed."

Victoria leaned closer to examine the resources. "How do you plan to use them? Raw absorption, or do you have a specific cultivation method?"

"The chaos crystals will be useful for law comprehension," Ryven replied thoughtfully. "The tiny amounts of chaos qi they contain won't help me since my Ancestral Chaos Bloodline and Infinite Seed Foundation are already saturated with origin chaos - a much purer form. But the fragmented laws inside should help me master law types I haven't encountered yet."

He held up one of the beast cores, feeling its dense energy. "The Law Realm beast cores will be perfect for foundation stabilization. They contain massive amounts of concentrated energy that my foundation can absorb to reach full stability. My bloodline should be able to process them safely."

He held up the coordinates tablet that Ancestor Moonwhite had given him. "But first, I think I need to visit this Primal Beast Dimension. Hunting Law Realm beasts will give me combat experience against opponents who actually challenge my abilities."

"When do you plan to go?" Victoria asked.

"After the sect examination," Ryven decided. "I want to establish my position at Azure Heaven Sect first, then use their resources combined with what I've collected to prepare for serious beast hunting."

Victoria nodded approvingly. "Smart approach. The sect will have facilities for processing rare resources safely, and you'll have access to their technique libraries for developing new cultivation methods."

Ryven carefully stored the chaos crystals and beast cores back in his spatial ring, making sure they were properly isolated from his other treasures. Resources this valuable needed careful handling to prevent accidental energy interactions.

"The examination is in three days," he said. "I should spend the time reviewing what I know about sect culture and testing procedures. I want to make a good impression, even though I could probably pass their tests without trying."

"Don't underestimate sect politics," Victoria warned. "Power is important, but so is fitting in with their social structure. These ancient sects have traditions and hierarchies that date back thousands of years."

"True," Ryven agreed. "But I also can't pretend to be something I'm not. My abilities are too far beyond normal categories to hide completely."

They spent the evening discussing his plans for the sect examination and what they expected from life at Azure Heaven Sect. The conversation was relaxed and comfortable, both of them enjoying the peace after a day of cosmic-scale battles and family revelations.

As night fell over the city, Ryven found himself looking forward to the challenges ahead. The sect examination would be his formal entry into the wider cultivation world, while the beast hunting dimension offered opportunities to test his abilities against truly dangerous opponents.

The chaos crystals and beast cores represented months or even years of advancement potential, but more importantly, they were tools that would help him master laws he'd never encountered before. His goal of transcending chaos law by mastering all possible law types was still distant, but these resources brought him significantly closer to achieving it.

"Tomorrow I'll start preparing for the examination," he decided. "But tonight, let's just enjoy being together without any cosmic responsibilities."

Victoria smiled and settled against his shoulder. "Sounds perfect. Though I have to admit, I'm curious to see how the sect reacts when they realize what they're getting."

Ryven chuckled. "Something tells me the Azure Heaven Sect is about to have their most interesting recruitment year in centuries."

Outside the window, the city had finally returned to normal after the week-long cultivation phenomenon. But inside the apartment, two people who had fundamentally changed the course of galactic history were simply enjoying a quiet evening together, preparing for the next phase of an adventure that promised to reshape the universe itself.
