Chapter 6 - A Party

[Friday, Night, Davis Residence]

After spending Thursday night and Friday like any other day, Jonathan was now getting ready to go to the party Tyrone had mentioned a few days ago.

Yes, after Tyrone kept constantly pestering him, he finally gave in.

But even if Tyrone hadn't convinced him, he probably would still go to the party since he found out Elizabeth was going too when she invited him to go along with her.

And that was the current situation in his room—he was finishing putting on cologne, the last thing missing before he was done getting ready.

After doing that, he left his room and headed toward Marianne's, opening the door straight up without knocking, finding the girl as usual sitting in front of her PC.

"You're really not going?" He asked the girl who had just turned around and taken off her headphones.

She shook her head in response. "No, you know I don't like parties, I'd rather stay home."

But instead of just accepting her answer, Jonathan raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? You won't feel lonely?"

Marianne huffed. "And why would I feel lonely? The girls will keep me company." She said, pointing at the monitor.

"Right..." Jonathan answered slowly, looking not at all convinced by her response, but seeing that she seemed pretty sure, he ended up accepting it.

Sighing, he started approaching her, and once close, he leaned down, brushed her bangs aside, and gave her a kiss on the forehead while the girl just threw him a weird look in response.

Straightening up and turning to leave, he waved at her. "In that case, have fun."

"What the hell was that kiss for? Are you our mom now?" Marianne said, still giving Jonathan that strange look.

He replied without turning back to her. "You should keep your mouth shut and just accept my kiss in silence." Reaching the door, he closed it slowly.

At the last moment, he waved one last time. "Bye." He told her while flipping her off.

The last thing he saw before closing the door was her expression changing as she was just about to curse at him.

Closing the door, he shook his head and walked away, laughing to himself.

Inside the room, Marianne cursed quietly. "Idiot." She then turned back to the PC, putting her headphones back on.

But staying silent for a moment, she looked at the door, ending up shaking her head. "Forget it."

Going downstairs, Jonathan looked for Rachel, finding the older woman in the kitchen with a glass of water in one hand and her phone in the other.

"You're heading out?" She asked, putting the glass and the phone on the table.

"Elizabeth is waiting for me outside." He replied, pointing toward the door over his shoulder.

She nodded before crossing her arms. "Well, in that case, have a good trip and enjoy the party, and more importantly, no drinking, no drugs, and especially no chatting up girls—you already know very well what girls your age want with a boy like you." She pointed at him, speaking in a warning tone.

But Jonathan's only reaction was to cast an impassive look at her. "You talk like I've already done something like that before."

Rachel uncrossed her arms, put one hand on her waist, and pointed lightly at him. "Well, you never know, what if this time you let curiosity get the best of you and end up drinking or using something you shouldn't? Girls will definitely try to take advantage of that, so be careful, you hear me?" She raised an eyebrow.

Exhaling amused, Jonathan shook his head. "Alright, I'll keep that in mind."

But she only raised her eyebrow higher. "What else?"

Rolling his eyes, Jonathan answered. "Yes ma'am."

"Great~" She then grabbed her phone again, shifting her focus away from him. "You already know the last rule, better not show up here past midnight, tell your sister too, you hear?"

Already turning to leave, Jonathan waved. "I heard you, bye bye to you too."

Saying goodbye to her, he went to the door, opened it, and stepped outside. The sight he got was Elizabeth and her friend leaning against the car.

"Finally, the prince decided to show up!" Brenda exclaimed, raising her arms dramatically.

Jonathan raised an eyebrow at that while smiling slightly. "You talk like I took an eternity to get ready."

The girl laughed while crossing her arms. "It's just that for a woman, a man's ten minutes getting ready equals an hour."

Jonathan laughed, walking closer and raising a hand. "What's up Brenda, how are you?"

"I'm good, even better now that you're here." She said while wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

Something Jonathan huffed at in amusement, but Elizabeth beside her didn't like that reply, elbowing her in the ribs.

"Ow! No need to be so jealous, it was just a simple compliment." Brenda said, holding her side while pouting slightly.

Fair-skinned, with dark brown hair, eyes of the same shade, hair tied in a messy bun with the rest falling down her neck, wearing a brown blazer over a white shirt with jean shorts and sneakers—that was Brenda.

Elizabeth's closest friend.

"Come on, get in the car." Elizabeth said, heading to the driver's side.

Brenda quickly rushed ahead of Jonathan when he was about to open the passenger door.

"Ladies first." She said, opening the door for him and bowing.

Playing along, Jonathan gave her a slight bow of thanks. "Thank you very much, my servant." Then he got into the car.

With a dumbfounded face, Brenda looked at him still without closing the door. "I thought I'd at least be a knight."

Jonathan shook his head with a smile. "You're not pretty or strong enough for that."

And so he closed the door himself.

Elizabeth laughed at the sight of her friend's dumbfounded face outside, while Brenda just shook her head, opened the back door, and finally sat down. "My goodness, you and Liz are way too alike in that regard."

"In what regard?" Jonathan asked while putting on his seatbelt.

"Being annoying, what else?" Brenda answered sarcastically while fastening her own belt.

"Alright, madam knight, did you put your belt on?" Elizabeth asked, glancing at the mirror with a smile.

"Yes, I did." Brenda answered dryly while crossing her arms.

Laughing at her sour face, Elizabeth started the car, the three of them finally driving off.

With her driving for a few minutes, soon the three approached a large house. The house had two floors with a wide space in front of it, it was like their house only twice as big, almost a mansion, so anyone who saw it could say that the people living in that house were very well off financially.

As they got closer, it became clear that a party was happening there. Besides the colorful lights flashing randomly through the windows, there was a large number of cars, motorcycles, and especially young people who were already there or still arriving at the house.

That, along with of course, the muffled sound of music.

"This house is pretty big, I didn't know Charles was rich." Appearing between the front seats, Brenda commented as she narrowed her eyes with interest.

"Apparently, Charles's mother is a businesswoman and his father used to be a model but now he runs a cosmetics company, at least that's what I heard." Elizabeth said as she approached the car.

Soon, the car slowly stopped nearby, and beside her Jonathan just looked silently at the big house. After parking, the three got out of the car and headed toward it.

As they approached, Jonathan could see in front of the house Tyrone hugging Megan along with Chad and the other girls from the soccer team.

As he got closer, Tyrone immediately noticed him. "Jonathan! Over here~" Waving happily, Tyrone pulled away from Megan and ran up to him with arms wide open.

Jonathan's face became expressionless as he raised his hand, stopping Tyrone from jumping on him.

Tyrone then stepped back, pouting resentfully. "Oh come on, don't be mean, let me hug you, come here~!"

He stretched out his arms again with an inviting smile but the only thing Jonathan did was raise his hand again and shake his head, making Tyrone glare.

Ignoring that, Jonathan patted Tyrone's shoulder with a smile. "I'm happy to see you too man, let's go." Then he turned him around, redirecting him toward the others.

Tyrone let himself be pushed with a defeated sigh as he went back to hugging Megan.

Jonathan then greeted Megan and the other three girls who were with her, one of them being the girl who had tried to ask for his number—the one whose name he had already forgotten.

As he waved at her and shook her hand, he raised an eyebrow. "What was your name again?"

"Grace, my name is Grace." While shaking his hand, the girl replied with a shaky smile.

"Right, nice to see you again Grace." He nodded with a smile.

Breaking the awkward mood, Tyrone decided to introduce Brenda and Elizabeth.

"Alright, so let me introduce them, Elizabeth, Brenda, girls, this is Jonathan's sister and this is her friend." He gestured toward the two with a smile.

Elizabeth, Brenda, Megan and the other girls quickly waved at each other, shaking hands. The soccer girls gave a slightly awkward smile since they already knew the two, even though they had never talked before.

"Well, since everyone's here, we can finally go in, let's go~!" Tyrone exclaimed cheerfully, pulling Megan's arm toward the door with everyone following behind.

Going up the stairs, standing on the façade in front of the large dark brown wooden doors was Charles, dressed in expensive-looking clothes.

His stomach was exposed along with part of his chest, and on top of that he wore an earring and light makeup around his eyes with a faint lip gloss.

He was holding his hands in front of him with a welcoming smile as he greeted people.

When it was their turn, Tyrone let go of Megan's hand and happily greeted Charles. "Charles dear~"

"Tyrone~" He replied equally cheerful.

The two then hugged like old friends with happy smiles on their faces.

Pulling away, Tyrone grabbed Megan's arm, holding her against his chest. "This is my girlfriend Megan and these are the soccer team girls."

Waving faintly, Charles greeted them with a friendly smile. "Hello~ Welcome, and I hope you enjoy my party." His gaze then landed on Elizabeth, Brenda, Jonathan and Chad.

Chad greeted him with a weak smile and a wave, Elizabeth and Brenda simply waved along with greetings.

"What's up Charles." Jonathan's greeting came with a nod.

Charles's expression didn't waver as he kept his smile. "Welcome to my party and I hope you enjoy it." He gestured toward the door.

"Alright, let's go." Tyrone said goodbye one last time, pulling Megan with him and opening the doors.

As he walked in, Jonathan could feel Charles's gaze on his neck but he simply ignored it.

Finally inside, what greeted Jonathan was the loud sound, voices, and a smell that mixed cologne, perfume, alcohol, and some other strange scent that he was sure was weed from the group not far away with joints in their hands.

His gaze also remained unchanged at the sight of several couples with swapped roles, the sight of masculine women and effeminate men interacting with each other already being part of his daily life.

As he looked around, he ended up spotting a familiar but irritating face not far from the entrance. Near a table with drinks, Melissa was talking to another girl he guessed was also from the basketball team.

Apparently sensing his gaze, she looked back at him, smiling and raising her hand in greeting, but Jonathan simply ignored her, turning his face elsewhere.

"It's already lively in here, isn't it?" Dancing lightly, Tyrone said while looking around with a smile.

"Yeah, it's already lively." Chad commented, also looking around.

"The girls from the team are over there, let's go talk to them." Megan said, nodding her head and pulling Tyrone with her.

Grace and the other two soccer girls followed with Chad right behind.

Elizabeth then turned to Jonathan, pointing in another direction. "Brenda and I are going over there." She pointed toward a group chatting on a couch.

"Alright, I'll stick with Chad and Tyrone." Jonathan nodded, and the two groups split up.

A few minutes later, in front of the house, Diana arrived with Rani and Jeanne.

"Wow, this house is huge!" With her hands on her waist, Jeanne exclaimed, looking the house up and down.

"It really is big." Beside her, Rani agreed, also looking impressed.

"That's what he said, heh~" Jeanne added, not missing the chance.

While Rani shot Marianne a dry look, Diana called them. "Alright, let's go girls." Then she walked toward the house with nervous steps.

She couldn't help it, this wasn't just the first party she was going to but also the reason why they were there.

After nagging them nonstop for the last few days, constantly talking about this party and her big plan, Marianne finally convinced the two to come here, and for one purpose only.

That was to lose their virginity.

With the doors open and people going in and out, the three approached the entrance.

From the doorway, they could already see the interior of the house along with the crowd gathered inside.

"Now that's what I'm talking about~ This is a party!" With her hands on her waist and nodding, Jeanne looked around with a wide smile on her face. "Alright ladies, it's hunting season." She turned to the other two, rubbing her hands with a mischievous grin.

"Okay, do as I said, look for suitable targets of your taste and go for it, understood?" She pointed at the two.

"Easy for you to say, I still can't believe your so-called big plan is something so simple." Rani shook her head, giving her a doubtful look.

"And I already told you that simple is efficient, it's by elimination, you get it? You just have to take shots at different targets multiple times, at some point you're going to hit, simple but effective, got it?" Jeanne raised an eyebrow with a 'duh-uh' look.

Rani and Diana exchanged silent looks at her.

Diana sighed, her gaze wandering around. "Easy for you to say, we don't have the shamelessness you have to do this." She hugged her arm, feeling nervous.

"And what better time to get rid of that shyness than at a party? Everyone here is drunk and high, nobody's gonna remember if you embarrass yourself." Jeanne raised her arms, smiling confidently. "Come on girls, you can do it, I believe in you!"

Giving them a wink, she nodded. "I'm heading for my own hunt, I wish you luck." Then she turned, walking into the crowd, dancing randomly and weirdly, winking and waving at guys.

Diana and Rani exchanged glances for a moment before turning back to Jeanne, watching in silence as she walked away.

"Well, I guess she's right, anyway nobody's gonna remember if we do something embarrassing, so good luck." Sounding not convincing at all and with a weird weak smile, Rani gave Diana a thumbs up before heading in another direction.

Seeing that even Rani had gone along with Jeanne's plan, Diana had no choice but to agree too, in the end she had a point.

Looking around, she shook her head. "Good luck to me." Then, with slow and nervous steps, she approached the crowd.

Things hadn't gone well for her at all, no matter how much she tried, she just couldn't approach any guy.

"Simple plan my ass." She muttered weakly with her hand on her face.

Looking around, she ended up spotting Marianne approaching a guy and starting a conversation. It looked like it was going well.

But then the guy laughed and shook his head, stepping away. Diana saw how Jeanne's face trembled for a moment before she flipped him off and definitely cursed him out with a furious face.

After that, Jeaanne caught her gaze and, as if by magic, her expression turned cheerful and confident again as she gave her a thumbs up before heading off in search of another target.

Diana shook her head at that, it was already the fifth time she'd seen that happen to her but Jeanne seemed to have no sense of shame.

"I guess I should at least try one more time, unlike her I didn't even have the courage to talk to anyone." Diana decided to try again, her eyes searching for someone.

And when she finally found one, she swallowed nervously, taking steps toward her target. "Come on! You can do this!"

Just as she murmured to herself, trying to stay motivated, she didn't notice when a guy passed right in front of her.

And she only noticed him when she ran straight into him, letting out a small surprised moan. She quickly backed off, feeling like she had just hit a brick wall, her face colliding with something soft and hard at the same time when she finally stepped back.

In the middle of the surprise and shock, she tried to apologize but in her retreat ended up slipping.

'Shit!' And just when she thought she was going to fall, she felt a pair of hands grabbing her by the waist.

With the feeling of those big, firm hands holding her, Diana finally managed to take a look at who the culprit was.

Her eyes went wide as her expression grew more shocked. "J-Jonathan?!" She stuttered out loud.

In front of her, with a faint smile, Jonathan greeted her. "Hello, nice to meet you."
