Chapter 21 - Chapter 20

Underworld – Lucifer Castle – Lucifer's Office.

Sitting at his desk, reviewing congratulatory letters in his honor as well as some documents, was none other than Naruto, who had just finished his press conference with his mother… it had been a success, without a doubt.

Naruto yawned lightly, just as the doors to the office were abruptly opened, catching his attention. He noticed the beautiful blonde with green eyes and an indomitable aura, dragging with her, bound in chains, none other than… Serafall.

"I'll be outside."

The beautiful knight declared before leaving, closing the door behind her, leaving Serafall standing with her head down in front of Naruto's desk.

Naruto sweated slightly. Azula was truly vile.

He then focused his gaze on the grown Serafall—she had kept herself well, clearly under orders to remain in prime condition, and yet…

Naruto sighed. He had raised Serafall to his liking… he had thought she saw things his way, but after all, she had her own sense, her own freedom to decide—and she had exercised it. That surprised him a little, but he had always expected it, given her intriguing ties with Sirzechs and the others… perhaps it had been pressure from her family, her bloodline. "Who knows?"

Naruto: "Why?…" — he asked calmly. Genuinely, it was the only question that lingered in his mind.

Serafall clearly heard the question meant for her and sighed.

Serafall: "Because of… my family, because of you…" — she replied, her voice slightly hoarse.

Naruto raised an eyebrow.

Serafall: "You know about my family's ties to the Gremorys and Baels. They weren't happy with the leanings of the new Maous. Zekram came into the picture with his intriguing proposals… I'm the Sitri heiress, I simply got caught up in everything. I had doubts, so I went to you that same day, but you weren't there… I had to do what I had to do…" — she explained, relieved at finally unloading her heart.

Naruto hummed. His mother had already told him about that, and clearly, had he been in her place, his hands too would've been tied. Of course… if he were weak, and his mother weren't who she was.

Naruto: "What did you gain?" — he asked with curiosity.

Serafall: "The title of Maou, my clan would belong to a faction called the Grand King, and I could marry you without any opposition from the other three clans…" — she revealed sincerely, sharing Zekram's proposal and that of her father.

Naruto hummed in thought. Clearly this group had thought ahead.

Naruto: "What failed?" — he asked with a faint smile.

Serafall lifted her head and gave a dry smile before uttering a name.

Serafall: "Lord Phoenix…" — that was all she said. Everyone knew. Hell, even Sirzechs, unconscious, had known. Everything had collapsed because of him.

Naruto chuckled softly. She wasn't wrong… they had trusted the wrong person. And even if they hadn't, in Naruto's plans there was no other Lucifer on the throne but himself or Rizevim. The latter, because he would neither meddle in Naruto's schemes nor order him around. In his honest opinion, Rizevim was a far better Maou Lucifer than Sirzechs, his father, or anyone else who tried to take the position.

Naruto: "I understand you and your situation. You tried to take the best of both sides, but you failed…" — he said with a contemplative grimace.

Serafall shuddered slightly, clutching her dress tightly. Her palms began to sweat, making her uncomfortable. Being judged by her love was the worst feeling imaginable.

Naruto looked at her in silence.

Naruto: "I'll give you one chance… just… never fail me again." — he told her calmly.

Serafall's head shot up, locking eyes with him. She understood the weight of his words, but was shocked that Naruto was truly giving her this opportunity. She knew him. She knew he never forgave betrayal. And yet…

Tears welled uncontrollably in her beautiful eyes, and she tried to wipe them away with her sleeves, failing.

"I… I… I—"

Naruto rose from his seat, circled the desk, and came to her side, pulling her suddenly into an embrace as she sobbed into his chest.

He gently stroked her hair.

Naruto: "Almost as tall as me? Wasn't she short before?…" — he mused. Artoria had clearly pushed Serafall to a new level. Azula seemed to have gathered a very interesting team. He could feel Serafall's latent power—greater than before.

"I-I-I'm sorry…"

Serafall stammered through choking sobs as she clung to him, releasing her fear, anxiety, and heartache at the thought of having disappointed her Naruto.

Naruto: "There, there… come on, I need you now…" — he whispered softly, with Serafall nodding as she regained her composure.

Minutes later.

Naruto watched Serafall leave his office without chains and sighed. One less problem.

Naruto: "Come in…" — he said calmly as another figure entered, raising a brow.

Olga: "I'm sure I suppressed all my magical power but oh well… I finished the tasks in Phoenix territory…" — she said coolly, approaching as Naruto gestured for her to come closer.

Olga sighed, but circled his desk, where Naruto reached forward, capturing her waist and pulling her onto his lap.

He adjusted her comfortably and inhaled her feminine scent.

Olga: "I'm done. If you don't need anything else, I want to see Lilith-sama…" — she said seriously, glancing back at Naruto.

Naruto arched a brow.

Naruto: "Who do you serve?" — he asked curiously, sliding his hand beneath Olga's cloak. She gave no answer.

His hand brushed against the metal part of her armor, and he smiled, grabbing one of her breasts and squeezing. Olga blushed, smacking his hand away.

Olga: "I'm your servant, but we don't have that kind of relationship. Only master–servant…" — she said firmly.

Naruto: "Fine." — he replied without irritation.

Naruto: "You can get off now…" — he added calmly, shifting his gaze to the papers on his desk, noticing a strange letter.

Olga pursed her lips, then wrapped her arms around his neck. That caught his attention. He looked at her just as her lips drew close.

Naruto didn't move until Olga claimed his lips, and he responded, grabbing her breast as their tongues entwined in a deeper kiss.

After several minutes, they broke apart, Olga panting.

Olga: "You… you can't… treat a queen like this…" — she whispered breathlessly, this time not removing his hand from her chest.

Naruto blinked.

Naruto: "Queen?…" — he asked, his gaze shifting to the crown he had always seen her wear.

Olga blinked.

Olga: "Wait… did you think my crown was just decoration? It's not. I'm Olga Discordia, the Queen of the Dark Elves, and I have my own kingdom to rule. Though Lilith-sama helps me with a succubus who covers for me while you send me on missions…" — she explained with a huff. She couldn't believe it. Her master, always so sharp, had been oblivious.

Naruto hummed. He vaguely remembered something of the sort but seemed to have forgotten.

Naruto: "Shocking revelation… I must've forgotten. Don't worry, I'll help your kingdom." — he said softly.

Olga frowned.

Olga: "You don't remember that we already have an alliance with the Phoenix clan? I just delivered this season's Phoenix Tears…" — she said seriously.

Naruto:"Wow… reading really consumes me…" — he thought, certain all this had happened while he was buried in Satan's cursed book, paying no attention.

Olga sighed. There was no point in being upset. As his servant, her role was to make things easier for him.

She moaned involuntarily when Naruto's hand wandered where it shouldn't.

Her face flushed a deep shade of pink.

Naruto: "You have such sexy skin… and you smell so… good… I want to devour you…" — he whispered into her pointed ear before biting it gently.

Olga heated up but shook her head.

Olga: "Not now. I need to check on Lilith-sama's baby to see how it's developing… but I'll leave you with my right hand. She's more than capable of entertaining you…" — she explained before Naruto could get upset.

Olga snapped her fingers, summoning a magic circle from which emerged a beautiful dark elf.

Olga: "This is Chloe, one of the people I trust most. I know she'll do a fine job…" — she introduced her. Chloe remained silent and nodded.

Chloe was a stunning young elf with long pointed ears, amber eyes, tan skin, and light blonde hair tied into twin-tails. She wore a revealing, tight outfit with a dark corset accentuating her figure, red garters at her hips holding her clothes together, and tall boots with metallic accents.

Olga rose from Naruto's lap and looked at Chloe with the cold, authoritative air befitting a queen. Chloe straightened immediately.

Olga: "Naruto is my master. Please him in every way and do not disappoint me. Treat him as if he were me." — she ordered firmly, Chloe nodding multiple times.

Olga nodded, leaned in to kiss Naruto briefly, then vanished into a magic circle.

Naruto sweated. She really did make things complicated for herself.

Naruto: "Come here…" — he commanded Chloe, who gathered her courage, circled the desk, and sat on his lap.

Naruto: "You have beautiful skin, and you smell good…" — he began his monologue again.

Outside the office.

Artoria's brow twitched. This brute was at it again, using the same words.

Human World – Unknown Location.

"BOOOOMMM—"

Yoruhime crashed into a rock as Hera stood tall, though her lip was bleeding, scratches marking her face, and her clothes torn.

Yoruhime rose calmly.

Hera scowled at her nuisance before blinking.

Hera:"Wait… I've been using my power near Olympus, and it's been an hour already…" — she realized, scanning her surroundings.

Hera: "Sweeper!" — she shouted, her power erupting violently.

Yoruhime blinked as a familiar figure appeared before Hera.

Hera gasped as she was grabbed by the hair. Suddenly, a raw pain struck her stomach—unlike anything she had ever felt. Her stomach…

Hera collapsed unconscious, an expression of sheer pain etched on her face.

Gaia made her disappear.

Yoruhime: "Gaia, why?…" — she asked, confused at her sudden appearance, only to realize she had been inside a barrier all along without noticing.

Gaia sighed, glancing at Yoruhime.

Gaia: "You're no match for the Olympians… From the first clash, I raised a barrier. Otherwise, you'd have been subdued long ago. Besides, Hera wasn't even going all out until she realized she was at my mercy. Let's go back." — she said calmly.

Yoruhime stayed silent before appearing at Gaia's side, both vanishing without leaving suspicion. As soon as they left, the barrier dissipated, restoring the place to its original state.

Underworld – Leviathan Territory – Leviathan Castle – Garden.

Leviathan sat comfortably in her resting pavilion, sipping tea. She had easily seized control of her clan without opposition. Her long-lost granddaughter had eliminated any challengers when she assumed the role of Maou—but it hadn't lasted. She had the mind, but not the power.

Leviathan sighed, lost in thought. That damn Phoenix boy she had "trusted and saved" had betrayed her… oh, she would tear him into pieces once she freed herself from whatever curse bound her. She would make him pay for the liberties he had taken with her.

Leaving aside her darker thoughts for later, she hadn't expected him to actually take the seat of Maou. But now, with fame and popularity, he had launched a silent strike at the greedy forces that craved their share. Even those old, decrepit elders who should already be in their graves.

Ignoring whatever controlled her, Leviathan sipped her tea. All she wanted was for the boy to take her to the human world… she needed it. Once he did… hmhmhm.

Things in the Underworld had grown restless, much like the rebel territories thrown into chaos by the loss of their leaders and the rise of Maou Lucifer, Naruto Phoenix, and his high general, Azula Phoenix. She had paid visits to many, threatening them behind closed doors… her power was absolute. She could accuse them of treason, and they would have no defense. Many clans had already knelt before the Phoenix family, seeking survival amid this upheaval that shook the Underworld's military and economic power, leaving detractors no room to maneuver.

Time passed quietly until night fell.

Gremory Territory – Gremory Castle – Porch.

"Clinkkk…"

The sound of a bell echoed as the massive door opened with a resounding noise.

Venelana appeared, dressed in a stunning red gown that accentuated her elegant figure and sensual curves.

A soft, calm expression graced her beautiful face as she saw the figure before her.

"Lady Gremory…"

A quiet male voice was heard.

Venelana smiled.

Venelana: "Please, call me Venelana, Naruto… We've known each other since you were a child, and now you are none other than Maou Lucifer. But please, come in." — she said warmly as Naruto smiled and entered, Venelana closing the door behind him.

She sighed softly before putting on her best smile again. She had to do this. The discussion earlier with the Gremory council had gone terribly.

Venelana: "Please, follow me…" — she said gently, leading the way.

Naruto hummed, the first thing he noticed being the absence of servants in the castle. It was literally just the two of them. The other thing he noticed was Venelana's very interesting backside. He had never really paid attention to it before. She always wore loose dresses, even at parties. Never had he seen her in a gown like this—form-fitting, accentuating everything good. Without a doubt, Sirzechs had a beautiful mother.

She guided him to the dining hall.

Dining Hall.

Naruto whistled at the sight of the grand banquet laid out on the table.

Venelana turned to him with a smile.

Venelana: "Please, sit. It's better to talk on a full stomach… I prepared it myself. A gift for your ascension, and for taking the time to respond to my letter despite your busy schedule." — she said warmly, pulling out his chair. Naruto didn't refuse.

He noticed the two plates set, but didn't comment.

Venelana sat elegantly at his side, serving food enthusiastically.

Naruto observed silently, picking up his fork and eating quietly alongside her, the clinking of silverware filling the hall.

After finishing the first delicious bite, Naruto reached for a glass of wine.

Venelana: "Allow me…" — she said, taking the bottle and pouring for him.

Naruto accepted, sipping calmly.

Venelana served herself as well, setting aside her napkin before drinking, trying to gather the courage for the conversation.

She needed her husband and son released from prison. Things were spiraling out of control faster than expected, and she didn't have the influence to suppress them. Not with Azula's moves panicking the clan elders, digging up ancient treaties to suppress her and impose their will. She couldn't allow that. She had invested too much. She wouldn't let her clan disappear, nor let herself become just another forgotten wife of a former Gremory lord.

Venelana:"Why couldn't Naruto have been my son? He would've made the Gremory clan the greatest… not those Phoenixes…" — she growled inwardly when she heard a whisper.

"Venelana… Venelana… Venelana…"

Startled, she blinked, realizing a hand was on her shoulder. Naruto's curious gaze met hers.

Naruto: "You spaced out… You've gone through two bottles and ignored me for almost 30 minutes." — he said with a drop of sweat, pointing at the table. She blinked, shocked. It was true. She didn't even remember opening the other bottles. They had been premium vintages, meant for him.

Venelana blushed prettily.

Naruto smiled.

Naruto: "You look cute when you blush." — he said with an amused grin.

Venelana raised an eyebrow. Had she heard that right?

Naruto: "So, you invited me here because you wanted to say something?" — he asked curiously, noting her hand resting on his thigh.

Venelana: "Yes, but… why don't we relax a little first? The conversation can wait…" — she whispered suggestively, smiling seductively as she gave him a good view of her cleavage.

Naruto: "Now that interests me…" — he said with a smile, leaning in.

Venelana didn't pull away, leaning in as well.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO—"

A horrified scream echoed from within a cell, as a figure in the darkness stirred.

"W-what was that nightmare?"
