Hundreds of centuries have passed since the heart-shattering events that occurred on the icy world, the small group now settled on a planetoid completely made of vines and nature on the edge of reality, a place that nobody could access. Multhi had become mature enough age to his true powers had awakened, the power of the winter.
Multhi: He sat upon an icy rock he created, meditating. Multhi now wears layered garments suited for cold weather and travel. A dark tunic fit close to his body, wrapped at the waist by a long sash, with fitted trousers beneath it. Over everything rested a deep blue cloak with a hood, draped heavily over his shoulders and falling to his calves, its edges worn and uneven. His legs were wrapped in dark bindings, and his feet were bare against the ice he formed beneath himself.
Tiffany: "Multhi! Are you around here?!" She walked through the dense forest walls surrounding him.
Multhi: His icy blue hair waved as the wind traveled around his body, his eyes slowly opening, "Yes, sister, I am. There is no need to yell."
Tiffany: She pushed past the hanging vines, branches brushing against her shoulders as she stepped into the clearing. Frost crept along the leaves near him. She slowed when she saw him seated on the ice, her voice dropping. "You have been out here for hours again."
Multhi: He sighed, a small puff of snow came out with it, "What else am I meant to do, Tiffany..."
Tiffany: She rubbed her eyes out of annoyance, "We have been over this a thousand times, you-"
Multhi: "Can not venture out of this world or else Valkun will find us, yes, I am aware." He stood up from his icy rock, stepping down slowly and turning towards her, "But we have been sitting here doing nothing for 24,000 plus years. Our parents' killer roams free, doing who knows what, and we sit."
Tiffany: Her jaw tightened, hands curling at her sides. "You think I do not feel that every single day? You think I do not wake up hearing them scream again?" She took a step closer, vines creaking beneath her boots. "Surviving is not doing nothing."
Multhi: His eyes hardened, frost crawling farther across the ground between them. "Surviving without purpose is just waiting to die slower." His voice rose despite himself. "He took everything from us, and we hide like frightened children."
Tiffany: "We hide because we are alive!" Her voice cracked as she shouted back. "Because if we leave, he will find us, and then all of this means nothing!" She gestured wildly at the forest, the sky, the frozen air around him. "Mother and father did not die so you could throw yourself at him!"
Multhi: The ice beneath his feet spread outward in a sharp ring. "They died so we could live," he snapped, then faltered, his voice lowering. "And I am tired of living like this."
Tiffany: She stared at him, chest heaving, "I miss them too, Multhi, truly I do-"
Multhi: He snapped towards her, his eyes glaring, "I don't even know what I am missing, Tiffany. I sit around, getting teary-eyed over names. I don't know their faces, I don't know their legacy. You and Alces haven't told me anything about who they were. You at least had moments with them to remember; they were murdered in front of me, before I could walk properly."
Tiffany: Her breath hitched as his words landed. She shook her head, voice rising again. "You think I wanted to protect you by staying silent? You think it was easy to carry all of that alone?" Tears streaked down her face. "I was trying to let you have a life that was not built on blood."
Multhi: He clenched his fists, frost snapping across the ground in jagged lines. "A life built on lies is not a life." His voice trembled with anger. "You took my right to grieve from me. You took my right to know them."
Tiffany: She stepped closer despite the cold biting at her skin. "Your father was kind, stubborn, and reckless when it came to protecting those he loved. Our mother was fierce and gentle at the same time, and she never once backed down from what she believed in."
Multhi: His expression softened. "This… it does us no good, Tiffany."
Alces: "Multhi." He stood atop a thick branch overhead, looking down at them. "Enough of that." He leapt down, the vine-covered ground shuddering beneath his weight. "Your parents loved you more than you could ever imagine. So much that they gave their lives so you could keep yours." He crouched in front of Multhi, eyes locked with his. "You wish to avenge them, do you not? To bring Valkun down. To bring him justice."
Multhi: His jaw tightened. Frost spread from his feet as he nodded. "Yes."
Alces: He straightened slowly. "Then we train you."
Tiffany: "What?!" She stepped forward sharply. "Alces, we are not turning my brother into a weapon!"
Alces: He did not look at her. "Not a weapon." He turned back to Multhi. "A king. The king he was always meant to be. The king, his parents died believing in." His voice lowered. "Are you willing to do whatever it takes, Prince of Winter?"
Multhi: He drew in a long breath. Ice crept across the ground in every direction as the air dropped to a deadly calm. When he spoke, his voice was steady. "Yes."
