Chapter 53 - 53

Skye! This is Fitz! Respond if you hear me!"

"Skye, copy that!"

"Jemma hasn't contacted us in three minutes; I'm afraid she's already fallen victim to that person!"

"Damn it! We must avenge Jemma... but can the two of us do it?"

"Sigh, never mind us two, even Oliver and Wade fell into his hands. Defeating the boss is impossible; we still have to complete the mission."

Skye hid behind a towering tree. Although she was dirty and disheveled, she had few injuries.

After just communicating with Fitz, she discovered that Jemma had sacrificed herself.

It also allowed them to directly experience the opponent's terror.

Whether it was one-on-one, group combat, traps, or drugging, every conceivable method had been exhausted.

Unfortunately, it had no effect.

"I've collected three stars here. What about you, Fitz?"

"I've collected two. We need to collect ten in total to complete it... Ah!"

Skye was listening to Fitz's information when she suddenly heard a sharp scream from his end.

Subsequently, the communicator fell silent.

Skye couldn't help but make the sign of the cross over her chest to pray for Fitz.

The enemy was too powerful.

But she wouldn't give up! She was a Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent! She would never give up on her mission just because the enemy was strong!

Skye! You can do it! You can make it!

After reinforcing her mental imprint, Skye took a firm step...

Then she was hung upside down from a tree.

Skye was a little numb; how many times had this happened!

At first, she would scream, but now she only wondered why there was a trap here.

But just then, a colorful snake slithered down the rope towards Skye.

"Hey, hey, hey! It can't be such a coincidence, can it?! Li Chengfeng, you damned bastard! Help!"

Just as the venomous snake's foul-smelling body was about to touch her foot, with a "whoosh," a green arrow shot through both the snake and the rope that was holding Skye up.

And a Republic Person in a Federal Bureau of Investigation combat uniform flew out and caught the unlucky Skye.

Skye looked at Li Chengfeng holding her in his arms, and just as she was about to blush...

He let go!

Let! Go!

"Skye, it's not me making things difficult for You." Li Chengfeng looked at Skye, who was wailing while clutching her backside, with an amused expression. "The last trap you stepped on was left by Fitz and Jemma, those two 'sleeping dragons and young phoenixes,' during the training before last."

As Skye's supervisor, Li Chengfeng still took responsibility, training Skye in field skills while also helping the Coulson Team train new recruits.

Although he didn't stay long at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy before running off, that was because he was dealing with a group of adolescent brats in middle and high school!

That was a group whose mental state was almost on par with Harley Quinn's!

And these Agents who had just joined the Coulson Team, regardless of their strength, could still follow orders...

Except for Wade Wilson, who was addicted to slacking off, everyone else was fine.

This "slacking off" was literal slacking off. After nearly a month of training in this uninhabited tropical rainforest, he spent most of his time at odds with the river.

"Li, you know me; I always get my revenge. On the first day I came here, I chose to hide in the river. I didn't expect those damned piranhas to dare bite my lychees! So I had to teach them a lesson!"

Wade Wilson said so.

But aside from this minor flaw, Wade Wilson's performance was actually almost perfect.

And Oliver Queen, needless to say, you could almost remove two words from that. In this environment, he was as relaxed as if he were home.

These two were the team's main combatants before Captain America awakened and officially joined the team.

As for the other four... one can only say they have a long way to go.

Among them, Skye was even in the best state, after all, she was an orphan and had played a long cat-and-mouse game with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

As for Fitz and Jemma... one can only say they really don't have much talent, but after unremitting efforts, they should still be able to reach a basic qualified level.

But...

"Barry Allen, your athletic ability is truly... incredibly bad."

Li Chengfeng really couldn't understand why Barry Allen, as the future Flash, could have such poor athletic ability.

Both slow and uncoordinated.

Could it be to create a contrast with the future?

"Agent Li! I know my shortcomings! I will continue to work hard."

After hearing this, Li Chengfeng covered his face and didn't respond.

This child, however, possesses a great character; he truly lives up to being the conscience of the Justice League.

Tears in my eyes, folks.

After a moment of reflection, Li Chengfeng opened a portal leading to Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters.

"Although you haven't defeated me, nor have you truly completed a star collection and delivery mission, given that I am too powerful for You, I declare..."

"This tropical rainforest practical training camp has concluded rather successfully!"

After speaking, he kicked them, one by one, into the portal.

...

Arriving at the long-unseen thirty-first floor, and seeing the diligent faces of Black Egg and White Duck Egg, Li Chengfeng couldn't help but ask:

"Yo, busy, you two old-timers? Spill some gold!"

"I find you increasingly disrespectful to me."

Nick Fury looked up, his single eye gazing at Li Chengfeng with considerable resentment.

"That look... I'm not interested in black people or men."

"Do you know the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been crazy busy lately? And you two! The Star Team is on an armed drill, and the Coulson Team is on jungle combat training! If I hadn't sent Maria and Natasha to temporarily support Coulson in time, Melinda, with her fiery temper, would definitely come looking for me!"

Li Chengfeng sat on Fury's expensive leather sofa, looking at Black Egg and White Duck Egg with an idiotic gaze.

"Although I haven't shown my face recently, I've been keeping an eye on my personal terminal, and there haven't been any major incidents. At most, there have been a few small-scale bio-zombie attacks, not even requiring B.O.W. deployment, and those were all casually cleaned up by the brats from the Academy as they passed by. So, have you never thought about assigning tasks to the brats?"

"They're not mature enough!"

When the children from the Academy were mentioned, White Duck Egg finally looked up. His dark circles were very obvious, and Black Egg probably had them too, but his skin color hid them.

"Not mature enough doesn't mean not strong enough! And there's a way to force them to mature..." Li Chengfeng chuckled, "Just reward them with academic credits for completing enough missions, and I guarantee they'll be the most excellent Agents."

Li Chengfeng was indeed ruthless; he wasn't even going to spare child labor.

But... what a good idea!

Black Egg and White Duck Egg exchanged glances for just zero point one second, reaching a consensus through their eyes.

Anyway, the brats have endless energy; why bother these middle-aged and old-aged folks?

At worst, assign a field Agent to each group to supervise the process!

Tremble, brats!

The tables have turned; it's your turn to be tormented now!

"Anything else, old-timer? If not, I'm leaving. As a Captain, being separated from my teammates for so long, I'm truly eager to return."

"Return my ass, I have a mission for You!"

Nick Fury then remembered that he had called Li Chengfeng here to give him a mission.

His memory... it seems he really has been tired these past few days.

"A mission? I'm going to complete it myself?"

"That's up to You. This matter isn't difficult, but it has some connection to the American Government..."

Nick Fury said, tapping a few times on his personal terminal and sending it out.

Then Li Chengfeng immediately received the details of this mission.

After opening it and just glancing at it, Li Chengfeng's brow furrowed.

"A public prison of the American Government was sold to a private company for operation, and now there are supernatural occurrences? Old-timer, are you messing with me?"

"Why would I mess with you!? Do I look like someone with that kind of leisure time? I'm so busy I wish I could split my one eye into two!" Nick Fury finally broke down from the constant "old-timer" remarks, but it was only for a moment before he regained his composure. "It doesn't seem like a big deal, but the problem is, we've sent four Agents to investigate, and they were all sent back confused, with no memory of the prison."

Memory loss?

Upon hearing Nick Fury's description, Li Chengfeng immediately looked at White Duck Egg.

White Duck Egg gently shook his head.

"These four Agents were examined by all our telepathic individuals, and the conclusion was that it wasn't caused by a telepath, nor were there any traces of drugs or hypnosis."

Leaving aside other things, in the field of telepathy alone, if the Federal Bureau of Investigation dared to say it was second in the world, no one would dare to say it was first.

If the memory loss was caused by telepathy, the Mutants would definitely have discovered it.

But drugs and hypnosis... it's hard to say.

He would have to investigate it in person before drawing a conclusion.

And after seeing the name of this prison, the system finally issued a mission after a long time.

[Ding, Mission "Prison Break, Brother" has been issued]

[Mission Briefing: Experienced Federal Bureau of Investigation Agents mysteriously returned defeated. What secrets are hidden within Fox River Prison? Strange criminals and an escape plan, a warden who never leaves the building—everything is a mystery... And in the deepest, darkest parts of the prison, it is said that traces of "God" can be found.]

What the hell? Fox River Prison?

Isn't this "Prison Break," for crying out loud?

Good heavens, since when did prison breaks get tied to supernatural occurrences?

And how much more supernatural can it be than T-bag's name?

"I'm giving this mission to You. I think it should be fine, right?"

"Hmm, since the reason for the memory erasure is still unclear, the fewer people entering the prison for the mission, the better. However, logistics can be strengthened."

Li Chengfeng said, naming a few people.

"Have Fitz, Jemma, and Barry stand by at the aerial command post; they might be needed for some research."

"Also, have Skye find Ingrid. I need a fake identity and information support."
