Chapter 60 - 60

After Li Chengfeng opened the portal, the first one to rush through the portal and enter Fox River Prison was not Hela, Goddess of Death, and Loki, God of Mischief, the two Asgardian Gods, but Ada Wong.

She even hooked herself in with a grappling hook gun.

"What the hell? A portal can be hooked by a grappling hook gun? So this thing has a physical form!"

"Your portal magic, are you asking me?"

Ada performed a light backflip, landing gracefully.

"I was just a little surprised, and what surprised me more is that you seem a bit eager to see me."

"To be honest, I really wanted to see you."

Ada's eyes showed a look of tender affection, and then…

She stepped on Li Chengfeng's foot, and even ground it hard.

Although it didn't hurt Li Chengfeng at all, and even felt a little itchy, he still had to clarify things, right?

Why did she just step on him like that!

Fortunately, Li Chengfeng was no longer wearing shoes at this time; the clothes and shoes issued by the prison had long turned to ash and dust under the dual ice and fire assault of Captain Cold and Heat Wave, those two scoundrels.

If he had been wearing the signed sneakers he bought last month, Li Chengfeng would have been in agony.

Although he didn't know much about American football, the collaborative shoes released by them were indeed quite good-looking.

Sure enough, the only advantage of cheap things is that they are cheap.

And the only disadvantage of expensive things is that they are expensive.

After hearing Li Chengfeng's long-unheard-of banter, Ada's anger inexplicably subsided.

But subsiding doesn't mean there was no anger.

Ada pointed angrily to the other side of the portal.

"You still have the nerve to say that! I, a mentally stable mortal, was trained for a whole month by a cosmic war maniac who had conquered several Planets!"

"Do you know what a mortal is? Living at an ambiguous colleague's house, changing a few outfits to hint at him, but he still doesn't take the bait! Then managing the team that this person usually doesn't care about, and finally having to deal with all the tedious and numerous paperwork… Damn it! There isn't even a normal person in this team who can help me with paperwork!"

"Even though I'm already in such a miserable state, I still have to train! And it's an Asgardian Goddess using her true power! My monthly salary is only five figures, and I have to save the World every day, so why did I get myself into this? I earn so little, I have to save for a long time just to buy a grappling hook gun! What am I risking my life for!"

Ada Wong's barrage of complaints finally made Li Chengfeng realize.

It seems… that was the situation.

When Hela proposed the idea of "training an army from Midgard," he agreed without hesitation.

He thought at the time that it wouldn't be bad to train these superhumans.

He just forgot about Ada, who was relatively speaking, an ordinary person…

He never considered Harley Quinn to be an ordinary person; first, her physical limiter seemed to have been completely removed due to her mental issues.

Although she wouldn't truly exceed human limits, the strength, speed, and flexibility she displayed were far beyond those of ordinary Agents.

Secondly…

This woman is 100% a person of great destiny in this Universe; if this Universe were a comic or novel by some eccentric fanfiction author, then Harley Quinn would probably be one of the absolute protagonists.

The highest authority in the America General Bureau regards her as "the closest thing to a daughter in his life."

Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman, certified her as "one of the few true female friends."

She was also the senior of the Kansas Big Guy, and a schoolmate of Louise Lane; it even seemed that Harley Quinn had played matchmaker for him and Louise Lane when she chatted with the Big Guy.

After understanding this experience, who wouldn't say she was awesome?

Even Black Egg and White Duck Egg, two experienced old-timers, gasped when Li Chengfeng reported Harley Quinn's latest personal information.

To put it bluntly, Harley Quinn could now directly summon people to conquer the World, and it's a highly probable thing.

"Hmm, it was my oversight; it's a bit unreasonable to put you among these super-powered individuals."

"Hmph! Even so, I was the warrior who obtained the highest assessment points from that Asgardian Goddess this past month." Ada rolled her eyes, "My complaining doesn't mean I'm weak."

After complaining to Li Chengfeng like that, her mind was much more balanced.

Then she surveyed her surroundings, and seeing the golden-haired Xu Jinjiang with his eyes closed in the center, she asked with some doubt:

"Who is this thing? And where is this place?"

"Oh my goodness, I was so busy listening to your complaints that I forgot about the important stuff! Ada! This is a serious work error on your part; how can you chat idly with your leader and cause your leader to forget about important matters!?" Li Chengfeng deliberately put on a fierce look, glaring at Ada, "Your problem is very serious; after work, go home and change into white stockings, and your leader will have a good talk with you… Also, use titles when working!"

Having said that, this somewhat overly shameless man turned and ducked back into the portal.

He didn't even bother to speak to his team members who were neatly lined up on the ground recovering their stamina, but instead shouted to Hela, Goddess of Death, and Loki, God of Mischief, the Asgardian siblings:

"You two Asgardian siblings, come here!"

"Come and see if this big golden-haired idiot is from your family!"

"Good heavens, he's only wearing a pair of shorts, sleeping with his butt sticking out in the deepest cell of Fox River Prison; if he wore one more or one less piece of clothing, I would have considered him normal!"

"So you're implicitly saying that Asgardians are all a bit crazy, aren't you?" Loki mumbled, standing up and walking to the portal, "Although I pretty much agree with your point, Asgardians, including myself, are all a bit crazy."

Li Chengfeng glanced at Loki in surprise.

Good heavens, Loki could already think rationally at this point?

This emotional stability was a little frightening!

It seemed that the brutal beating the Kansas Big Guy gave him, which shocked his mind and worldview through physical impact, was truly effective!

"My God Queen, what did you mean by what you just said?"

Hela was now wearing a intricately patterned battle suit, similar to the one she had on when she first escaped from her seal, but this one clearly wasn't cheap.

She walked straight towards Li Chengfeng like that; her dual identity as Queen and Goddess made this tall, mature woman exude both regal dominance and the characteristic compassion of a God.

Li Chengfeng felt immense pressure from this visual impact.

"What golden-haired big idiot? Have you once again demonstrated your ability to pick up at least one person everywhere you go?"

"You call this an ability!?" Li Chengfeng pressed his forehead and gave a wry smile, "Do you think I want so much trouble?! It's just that I ran into it! I've already confirmed it; he's definitely an Asgardian. I have some guesses about his specific identity, but I still need Loki to confirm it."

After Li Chengfeng finished speaking, he turned and walked back to the other end of the portal.

Hearing what Li Chengfeng said, Hela found it even more astonishing.

"My brother, is this place, Midgard, not a bit too strange? How is there yet another Asgardian?"

"Don't ask, this place, Midgard, is a bit mystical." Loki, however, had a accustomed expression, "Don't forget, even you, older sister, were inexplicably sealed in Midgard by Father, weren't you?"

"That's right, to be honest, we seem to be part of this abnormality too."

"No! I thought long and hard about it, and then used my eloquent tongue to make a deal with that mad Titan named Thanos in the Universe; I would invade Midgard, and he would provide me with manpower… That was an entire interstellar mercenary army!"

"And in the end, weren't you easily defeated by that God of Humanity named Clark Kent?" Hela said, walking into the portal, mercilessly criticizing her younger brother.

"Big sister! Please don't be so harsh on me, a child not yet fifteen hundred years old!" Loki followed closely through the portal, "That time, it was clearly because I chose the wrong invasion location! If I had chosen Washington, no, not Washington, Li Chengfeng is there. I should have… New York! Yes! I should have chosen New York back then!"

"You chose nothing!"

Li Chengfeng turned around and glared fiercely at Loki.

This was not the feigned look he used when flirting with his older sister; he genuinely wanted to beat him up.

If he had chosen New York, Stark alone, plus the Federal Bureau of Investigation's forces in New York, truly wouldn't have been able to stop the Chitauri army.

But…

If it had really happened, Li Chengfeng could guarantee…

He would personally deliver Loki's head to Odin.

"You, you got lucky." Li Chengfeng said, patting Loki's shoulder, "Come, come and see if this person looks familiar to you? Does he resemble your older brother, who isn't blood-related but essentially has the same brain?"

Loki froze at his words, then quickly ran forward to check.

And after seeing the golden-haired Xu Jinjiang's face clearly, he first froze, then started hitting his brother's head while laughing loudly.

"Wahahaha! Thor! It really is you, I didn't expect you to have a day like this! My dear older brother, what exactly is your situation? Why are you barely clothed? And with your butt sticking out? I heard that in prisons here in Midgard, they particularly like handsome men."

Hela was even more direct.

She mercilessly stepped on Thor's butt and walked directly to the other side to examine the complex magic array on the ground.

To be honest, Hela wasn't very interested in this blood-related younger brother she had never met, and even felt a natural aversion to this brother who looked very similar to a young Odin.

In comparison, she preferred Loki, this somewhat rebellious Frost Giant, as a younger brother, but this younger brother, in all aspects, was more like Odin on the inside.

But unexpectedly, with just that one kick, Thor grunted, and then slowly began to wake up.

The first person he saw was Loki.

"Loki, you scoundrel! You tricked me with a distress signal!"
