Chapter 14 - Being Harsh

Alex took the opportunity, seeing the actual gap in Luka's defense, he struck without holding back. His fist ripped through the air and slammed right into Luka's side.

Luka arched in pain, his eyes widened in shock as his body was thrown aside. He slammed into the ground and rolled for a few meters before coming to a stop.

He got on his feet again, holding his side. He looked at Alex and he could still see the smile. It made his heart rage; if anything, he wanted to wipe that smile off Alex's face.

He got into a stance. This time he would go serious. He clenched his fist hard, the veins on his body bulged.

"It's not about how much force you put into it, you are simply incapable of reaching me. It is a fact that you can't comprehend," Alex spoke, his past proud self sneaking into his voice.

"Curse you!" Luka roared and lunged at him, his feet kicked against the ground, each step heavy. He leaped into the air and punched from above.

Alex crossed his arms and blocked the attack. He was pushed back a few steps. He looked up, and Luka was already coming again. Luka made to throw a punch, Alex blocked, but it was a feint. Luka spun around and used his legs, landing a perfect kick right on Alex's head, knocking Alex back and breaking his lips, causing some bleeding.

'A feint, he threw it so perfectly. It seems this guy is more talented than I gave him credit for. I have to get serious,' Alex thought. He looked up and saw Luka standing there with a smug look on his face.

"You really lack skill, to fall for such a bad feint," Luka said.

"Tsk, indeed, I should have seen that coming. But rest assured, that's the last hit you'll get in," Alex said, his smile returned.

"You bastard!" Luka rushed forward again. He did the same thing, only this time with a kick, but Alex watched the muscles of the leg.

'It didn't tense enough, it's another feint.' His eyes darted to the arm, he saw it tensing up.

'That's it.' He waited for the right moment and then set a block when the arm started moving.

Bam!

He blocked the attack, Luka was shocked. Alex grabbed the arm and pulled him in, leaped into the air, spun, and sent a kick right into the side of his head. Luka spun once and slammed into the ground hard.

Alex landed without a single issue. He looked at Luka, who struggled to get back on his feet, completely disoriented, but still filled with rage and eager to go more.

But this time, their fight had woken up some people and they were coming out to see. Alex smiled when he saw the eyes. "Seems we have an audience, let's make it good," he said before rushing forward. Luka was barely ready when the punch was already moving for his head.

He quickly tried to block, but it was a feint. The punch stopped mid-air and a kick rose and slammed into his side.

"Agk!"

He coughed blood. He looked at the leg that kicked him, seeing the trajectory it followed. There was no way he would have known that it was a feint.

His eyes raised up, trying to see what was coming next. With his blurry gaze, he saw a punch approaching. Immediately he bit his tongue. It was a method taught in the tribe: when one was almost falling unconscious, biting the tongue sends pain all over the body and gives them a much-needed kick to keep going.

He managed to clear his mind with that, and was able to block the attack, but he was pushed back, his defense shattered.

"I told you, you wouldn't land another attack," Alex said before lunging forward. Luka punched, but he dodged easily, then got to the side, raised his leg high, and brought it down like a meteor, an axe kick.

It landed right on his head, sending Luka down fast, his head right into the ground. Everyone watching was shocked when this happened. They all thought it was over and Luka had lost the fight. But Luka pushed himself up, he could barely stand anymore. He pointed at Alex.

"I don't care what you do, I'll never let you have her," he roared and started running at Alex.

"Tsk, I recognize your strength and passion for love. Honestly, I feel you deserve her more than me. But I'm not generous, neither am I a good person.

Imani is mine," Alex said before sending the most powerful kick yet, aimed at knocking out Luka. This was the end.

BAM!

Alex's kick was caught. He looked up, confused, and saw that it was Mia who had stopped it. She had arrived now along with some guards.

She looked at Alex, her eyes shined with anger. "What the hell is going on here?" she asked.

Alex dropped his leg and looked at Mia. "He came for me, I was only defending myself," Alex said. She looked at Luka, hard to believe that the instigator ended up like this.

But she had no proof of what happened, so she could only dissolve the issue for now.

"Take him to get treated, I'll handle the outsider," she said. She grabbed Alex by the shoulder and dragged him along.

The guards took Luka. Everyone that was watching was a little sad when the fight came to an end that way.

Mia dragged Alex without saying anything. She got to his room, pushed the door harshly, and shoved him inside. She closed the door and when she turned, Alex grabbed her by the neck and pushed her back. Her body slammed against the wall.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" she asked.

"You spoke to me harshly, I don't like that. You weren't being much of a good girl," he spoke, leaning into her, his breath tickling her neck. Mia looked at him, eyes shaky.
