Now it was the next day at sea, the sea was calm and the sky was clear. The sun deep down the horizon as the ship sails calmly.
The sailor laid down on the deck gasping for breath while the other duo was busy exploring the ship.
"Hmm?" Ryuken's eyes took a glimpse of a silhouette up ahead as he continued to gaze at it. "Isn't that an island?"
The navigator who was exhausted jolted off the deck and brought out the telescope from his pocket and pointed it at the direction Ryuken pointed with his finger.
"An island! I see an island!" The navigator exclaimed, cracking a smile on his face before he fell down on his buttocks.
Through the stormy night, he was the only one working while the other duo acted like there was nothing going on.
The ship accelerated towards the island up ahead as a grin formed on the duo's face.
"Hope we can find a worthy navigator here."
"Yeah, I hope so."
Ahead, the silhouette of Orange Town shimmered under the golden afternoon sun. The town's namesake groves bordered the coast, lush and bursting with ripe fruit, while quaint orange-tiled rooftops peeked from behind gently swaying palm trees. The harbor was small.
"Drop anchor! Port side! Let's make it smooth!"
The hull groaned softly as the ship nestled into the dock. A dull thud and a chorus of gulls marked the moment the ship kissed the wooden pier. Gojo stepped down the gangplank, boots landing with a solid thump on Orange Town soil.
The townsfolk paused—some curious, others wary. Pirates weren't an uncommon sight in East Blue, but not all brought trouble. Not right away, at least.
Gojo turned towards the navigator with a smile, "you're free," he uttered as the duo stepped into the town.
The townsfolk watched the duo as they stepped into the town. Their adventure has started as they made their way into the town not knowing the history that lies within it.
Orange Town was built on a wilderness near the sea by townsfolk who had lost their previous homes due to pirate raids. Built from the ground up as a fresh start, the town took on a colonial charm, with cobblestone streets and a quaint, seaside atmosphere.
Not only did the Buggy Pirates invade, forcing the citizens to flee to a refugee camp outside the town's border. The Buggy pirates turned this town into their turf and became the president of the town with his mysterious subordinates who'd even swear to even die for their captain.
Captain Buggy the clown, a mysterious pirate from the Grand Line and a sworn brother to the youngest Emperor of the sea, Shanks. Shanks and Buggy boarded the Oro Jackson, the ship of the greatest pirate. Gol D. Roger, the king of pirates. Buggy, however, has eaten the so-called mysterious devil fruit and became a fearful pirate worth 15,000,000 berries.
Buggy ate the Bara Bara no MI, a paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to split his body into multiple pieces and reassemble them at will. This power also makes him immune to slashing attacks.
With the exception of his feet, Buggy can make his disassembled body parts levitate and control them telekinetically which made him invisible here in the East Blue.
Buggy is an average-sized man with an appearance resembling that of a clown, as to mirror his epithet. He has a big red nose and long blue hair with gray eyes.
With his top executives serving under him, Mohji the Beast Tamer, is a pirate and a first mate of the Buggy pirates usually accompanied by his pet lion, Richie. Followed by Cabaji the Acrobat. He is the Buggy pirates chief of staff, an acrobat and a swordsman.
Three of Buggy's men wandered the town with their firearms, swords and cutlass around their bodies until they saw two strange handsome men.
"Huh? Who the hell are these punks?"
One of them snorted silently before the trio surged forward towards Gojo and Ryuken.
"Hold it right there, punks!" One of the trio brought out his gun strapped around his waist.
"Who the hell are you guys?"
Gojo and Ryuken were dumbfounded as they continued to walk away from the trio.
Bang!
One of them shot their gun into the atmosphere as a vein appeared on his forehead seeing the duo taking them for a fool.
"Do you know who you're messing with, huh?"
"We're the Buggy pirates!"
"... Heh?" Gojo stopped in his tracks, "Buggy pirates? Never heard of them."
The pirates could see the two men were desperately messing with them and the fact they didn't know about the Buggy pirates here in the East Blue made their blood boil in frustration.
"Calm down, Baka! Let's take them to Buggy-sama."
"Why can't you guys leave us alone? Buggy this Buggy that, eh?" Ryu muttered.
"There is only one way for you to survive since you've crossed a line unforgiveable."
Gojo's lip twitch, "and? What way?"
"You have to submit to the greatest Buggy-sama or you'll have to witness the great Buggy Balls and Muggy Balls."
"Muggy Balls? What's that?" Ryuken broke into his knees with his hand around his belly as he laughed profusely. "Mehn, are you guys a comedian?"
"You bastard! Kill em!"
Before the trio could do anything, Ryuken immediately knocked them out cold as he followed Gojo's trail.
"I've been curious about something. This town kinda looks like a ghost town."
"Then what do you think about it? Those punks said their captain is none other than Buggy-sama."
"Yeah. I'm not here to fight, we came to explore and recruit a navigator."
"Yeah. Let's enjoy our little time here." Ryuken whistled, trailing beside Gojo. The duo took a glimpse of a large, circus-themed house reflecting a clownish persona. Brightly decorated with vibrant colors, flags, and carnival motifs, it served as both his base and treasure storage. The structure radiated a theatrical, chaotic energy, perfectly matching Buggy's flamboyant style and pirate crew's eccentric nature.
"So that's Buggy's main base, huh?"
"Yeah," Ryuken whistled, "Why don't we pay them a visit?"
"Sounds fun! Let's go!"
The weather was great, the cool breeze fizzling through the air as the duo made their way to the stronghold of Buggy and his subordinates.
The pirates were busy throwing a banquet for themselves with a lot of fruits, meat, fish and sake on top of a huge table.
Buggy sat down in the middle while Cabaji and Mohji sat beside their beloved captain. Being thrown away by their little banquet, they failed to notice the duo who stood glancing at them.
"Food! Wanna eat some!" Ryuken drooled before a loud growl escaped his stomach attracting the attention of Buggy pirates.
The sudden sound made the Buggy pirates jolted up from their chair causing the table to roll over and splattered the foods and drinks on the floor immediately before lifting up their cutlass and swords at the incoming duos who watched them with a weird expression from afar.
"Hold it right there, punks! Who the hell are you guys?"
"Nice to meet you," Gojo smiled, "Gojo."
"Ryuken." He uttered. "I guess the lovely aroma brought us here."
"Huh? Who the hell asks for your names? Do you know whose territory is this? It's Captain Buggy."
The firearms were pointed toward the duo while the pet, Richie, growled angrily, waiting for an order to attack and shred the bones of the strangers.
"Hold it, boys!" A voice broke out from the crowd. "How flashily brave you are to come here."
"Captain Buggy-sama?"
The pirates snorted hesitantly.
"Sit back, we'll take care of these punks, Buggy-sama."
Gojo and Ryuken watched from the road as the Captain of the pirate crew emerged from the shadows.
"So that's Buggy?" Gojo pointed a finger with a smirk.
"What is he? A joker or a clown? He looks fishy."
The duo whispered between themselves, not fazed by the firearms pointed directly at them from every direction.
"Welcome brothers, what do we have here?" Buggy clasped his hand together taking a few steps forward as his executives trail behind him.
"Oh, hello Buggy! Do you mind if we join your little banquet?"
"Damn! I'm hungry! Hohō, I smell some delicious liquor!" Ryu sniffed twice.
Buggy watched the two men not faze by his presence nor the firearms pointed at them until a smile crept on his lips.
"How flashily brave you are! Come, I'll welcome you, brothers."
Buggy declared, stretching his arms wide to embrace the both of them. Gojo and Ryuken accepted Buggy's offer and moved forward to join them on the table.
"Captain Buggy, we don't know if they are or if they're pirates that come to take your head."
Bang!
Buggy pulled the trigger with a grin on his face. "Who do you think I am?"
Blood splattered from the spot that'd been shot as the figure cried out in pain and agony. "Forgive me Buggy-sama."
"You're forgiven." Buggy nodded with a smile on his face while he cursed Gojo and Ryuken in his mind. If only these punks knew who they're playing with. If I were them, I wouldn't, and I'll surrender quietly.
Buggy thought to himself but as he dug into the freshly roasted chicken while he watched the duo caressing the food into their mouth.
"Deliwsus." Ryuken said between bites while his left hand held a bottle of liquor as he drank to the fullest.
"Isn't it flashily delicious?"
"Yeah. It's the best." Gojo munched into his chicken, his mouth moving left and right in-between bites.
"Take your time, my brothers." Buggy signaled Cabaji with his eyes, sending him a secret message which he approved by winking.
Buggy kept the atmosphere lively as the trio talked about stories. After a while of eating, Gojo and Ryuken fell to the floor, their belly filled up, unable to move.
While a smile crept on Buggy's lips, time to show his true colours.
"Time for interrogation." Buggy muttered before a voice rang out from nowhere.
"Buggy-sama!"
Hmm?
Buggy's face shifted to see one of his men barely standing up as he staggered sideways, blood streaming down his body.
"Brother, what happened to you?" Buggy was furious, glancing at his beaten subordinate as he rushed forward.
The tall figure dropped to his knees, breathing profusely before opening his mouth. "P-pirates!" He coughed blood.
"Pirates, you say?" Veins popped out in Buggy's neck as he gritted his teeth.
"A swordsman and a man with white hair attacked us."
"Swordsman and a white haired man?" Buggy's face turned cold as he tilted his head at the two latter who laid on the floor rubbing their stomach. "Are those the men who attacked you guys?"
The latter coughed blood at Buggy's white glove. "Yes, that's them." He said, before he fell unconscious on Buggy's arms.
Buggy turned glancing at the two figures on the floor. "Are you telling me those two shitheads are pirates? Go look for their ship and steal every single treasure you'll find and also kill his crew."
Buggy ordered some of his men who nodded quietly before sprinting at full speed toward the port where the ship was docked.
"I'll fucking kill them." Buggy gritted his teeth, "Well, I'll consider them lucky if they submit to me like good puppies." He rolled his eyes, trying to hold his laughter.
"Let's get into business, men!"
His men trailed behind him with cold expressions lingering on their faces wondering how these two loose shitheads were able to brutally hurt his men without them getting hurt.
Meanwhile, Buggy and his men heard the gunshot earlier but failed to make a move since they were focused on their banquet.
"Buggy-sama, don't you think the gunshot we heard earlier was a signal by our men being attacked by them?"
"Oh.. Is it?" Buggy laughed it off since he was the one that told his men not to worry about the gunshot earlier since he believed he was the strongest here in East Blue and also, having the mysterious chop-chop devil fruit made him feel invisible…
"Let's play tag, shitheads!"
