Morning sunlight streamed through the windows of the Rangers' training hall. Blades clashed, sparks scattered, and the air was filled with the rhythmic shouts of determination.
"Again!" Troy called, raising his sword against Jake. The two locked weapons, each strike echoing like thunder.
In the corner, Emma and Gia sparred, their movements sharp and precise.
And watching them with quiet focus was Yuriko. Her snowman keychain swayed faintly at her belt, its surface still faintly glowing from the battle with General Veylak. She clutched it lightly.
I have been given power again… but why me?
She shook her head, then joined the sparring circle, moving with her electrified grace. Gia met her head-on, their strikes swift and fierce. Yuriko's movements were less raw force and more fluid—like wind slipping through steel.
"You're improving fast," Gia said between strikes, a small smirk tugging at her lips.
"Fighting… is the only thing I've ever truly known," Yuriko replied softly. "But here, I feel… something more."
Their sparring ended in a stalemate, both lowering their weapons as the alarms suddenly blared.
Tensou's urgent voice rang out:
"Rangers! A new Armada monster has appeared in the industrial district! The city is under attack!"
Without hesitation, the team rushed out.
---
The industrial district was already a war zone when they arrived. Towers of flame roared skyward as factories burned. Citizens screamed, fleeing past the Rangers as they ran toward the source.
At the center stood the monster—an armored giant wreathed in fire. His body was plated in molten steel, and every breath he exhaled sent jets of flame across the streets.
"I am Pyrax!" he bellowed, his voice like a roaring furnace. "This city will burn until nothing remains but ash!"
The Rangers morphed in unison, their voices strong: "Go Go Megaforce!"
Yuriko followed, transforming into her Tackle suit, electricity sparking across her armor.
The battle began instantly. The Rangers charged, blades flashing, but Pyrax's fiery aura burned with every strike, forcing them back. Gia slashed at his side, only to be blasted across the street by a fireball. Jake tried to shield her, but the heat nearly overwhelmed him.
"Too hot—he's melting through everything we throw at him!" Jake shouted.
Yuriko leapt in, her Snow Form activating as frost spread over her fists. She struck Pyrax with icy blows, trying to smother his flames. For a moment, the fire hissed and weakened—until Pyrax roared and erupted in a wave of molten heat that shattered her ice instantly.
Yuriko staggered, her breath caught in the smoke. Even my snow power… isn't enough?
Pyrax's laughter thundered. "Cold cannot smother eternal fire!"
---
The battle raged on, the Rangers pushed to their limit. Buildings collapsed, the air turned suffocating with heat. Yuriko dropped to one knee, her hand brushing against her belt. Her fingers found the new charms she had bought only yesterday—the Ember, Wade, and Clod keychains.
The Ember charm pulsed.
She froze. It glowed faintly, as if resonating with the inferno around them. Her heartbeat quickened. She gripped it tightly.
Is this… the same as before?
Her mind flashed with memory: the snow keychain awakening, the feeling of being alive again, the will to protect. Now, with fire threatening to consume everything, her soul burned with the same resolve.
The Ember charm ignited in her palm. Flames spiraled upward, wrapping around her body in a storm of light.
"Not again," Pyrax snarled, stepping back as the ground split beneath the force.
---
When the light cleared, Yuriko stood transformed.
Her armor gleamed with fiery red and gold, molten lines glowing across her chest and arms. Her visor burned like a blazing ember, and her gauntlets radiated with heat that shimmered in the air. Flames coiled around her boots as if the ground itself fueled her.
She was no longer Snow Tackle.
She had become Fire Tackle.
The Rangers stared in awe.
"Yuriko…" Emma whispered. "You've changed again."
Gia smirked despite the chaos. "Now that's hot."
---
Pyrax roared in rage and hurled a massive fireball at her. Yuriko raised her hand, the flames splitting harmlessly around her like water parting before stone.
Her fist ignited, bursting into blazing fire. She lunged forward, striking Pyrax square in the chest. The impact exploded in a shockwave of heat, knocking the monster off his feet.
He stumbled back, armor cracked and glowing with molten fissures. "Impossible! Your fire… burns brighter than mine?!"
Yuriko's voice rang with determination, steady and unshaken:
"This fire doesn't destroy—it protects!"
She unleashed a blazing kick, fire spiraling up her leg, slamming into Pyrax and engulfing him in a vortex of flame. The Rangers seized the chance, combining their weapons into the Megaforce Blaster and firing alongside her flames.
The combined strike consumed Pyrax in a fiery explosion that shook the district. His scream faded into smoke and ash.
The firestorm around the city died with him, the flames dissolving into harmless sparks.
---
The Rangers regrouped, battered but victorious. Troy stepped forward, eyes steady. "Yuriko… you've unlocked something none of us could have expected. First snow, now fire… It's like you're connected to the very elements themselves."
Emma touched her shoulder gently. "And you're growing stronger not just for us—but for yourself."
Yuriko looked down at the Ember charm now glowing beside her snowman keychain. She smiled faintly, exhaustion in her eyes but also a deep spark of pride.
"I don't know why these powers came to me… but I'll keep fighting. For this world—and for the second chance it has given me."
The keychains jingled softly in the cooling wind, as if promising more to come.
