Chapter 26 - Chapter Twenty-Four – The Gold Storm

The sky over Harwood City burned a dull red as the Armada unleashed two monsters at once, their shrieks echoing through opposite ends of the city. Explosions rolled across the horizon like thunder.

Inside the Command Center, alarms blared. The Rangers split without hesitation.

"Yuriko, Gia, Orion — you three handle the one near the docks!" Troy ordered, slamming his fist into his palm. "The rest of us will take the northern district."

Yuriko nodded, her eyes flashing with determination. "Let's move. We can't let them destroy the city again."

In a flash of light, the teams teleported away — two squads, two fronts, one mission.

At the Northern District

The air was thick with smoke when Troy, Emma, Jake, and Noah arrived. The ground trembled under their boots. A towering monster, armored in black iron with glowing crimson eyes, stomped through the streets, crushing cars and scattering debris like dust.

"Let's make this quick," Jake said, already drawing his weapon. "I promised myself tacos after this."

They morphed in unison, light flaring across the sky. "GO GO MEGA FORCE!"

Blades clashed, blasters roared, but the monster fought with brutal efficiency. Every attack the Rangers landed barely left a dent. Then — a shadow flickered across the smoke.

A chilling voice echoed. "You still fight… even when you know you can't win."

The smoke parted.

Kamen Rider Fifteen stepped forward, his crimson eyes gleaming with cold purpose, his golden armor shining like a dying sun.

Noah's breath caught. "He's back…"

Troy gritted his teeth. "Team, formation!"

They charged — four Rangers against one Rider. The battle was fierce and fast. Fifteen countered every strike, his movements sharp and deliberate. He parried Troy's sword with ease, blocked Noah's blaster fire with a single swing, then struck Jake with a devastating backhand that sent him crashing into a wall.

Emma tried to flank him, firing shot after shot, but Fifteen barely moved — each bullet deflecting harmlessly off his armor.

"You're wasting your strength," he said coldly, grabbing Troy's blade mid-swing and twisting it aside. "You are not my target."

He hurled Troy backward like a rag doll.

"Then why attack us!?" Emma shouted, slamming her blaster into her morpher. "Why go after Yuriko?"

Fifteen's gaze turned toward her. "Because she carries power that should not exist. The Keychains were never meant to merge with humans."

Emma fired again, defiance flaring in her eyes. "You'll have to go through us first!"

But the difference in power was staggering. Fifteen's sword glowed crimson, unleashing a shockwave that sent all four Rangers flying. Sparks exploded from their suits as they hit the ground hard.

Emma struggled to stand, her breathing ragged. "We… we can't hold him back much longer…"

Troy gritted his teeth, forcing himself up. "We don't stop until Yuriko gets here!"

But Yuriko was miles away — and Fifteen knew it.

He raised his sword, aiming directly at Emma. "Then you'll fall first."

A beam of energy shot toward her — but before it hit, the world around her seemed to slow.

A golden light burst across the battlefield.

Emma gasped as warmth flooded her body, her morpher glowing brighter than ever before. She turned — and in the distance, standing upon a rooftop, a tall golden figure watched silently.

Kamen Rider Ohma Zi-O.

He raised one hand slowly, almost casually, as if commanding the very air to bend around her.

"Wh–what is happening?" Emma whispered, her voice trembling.

Then her armor changed.

Her suit shimmered, transforming into gleaming gold with crimson accents. Power surged through her veins, like lightning and sunlight combined. Her visor flared, her sword extending into a radiant double-edged blade.

"Whoa," Jake said, shielding his eyes from the brightness. "Emma… you just went full gold mode!"

Emma clenched her fists, feeling the energy humming in her core. "I can feel it… This power… it's his!"

When she looked up again, Ohma Zi-O was gone — vanished as silently as he appeared.

But the power remained.

Fifteen stared at her from across the battlefield, his posture shifting slightly. For the first time, there was hesitation in his movements.

"Interesting," he murmured. "So the King of Time has chosen another…"

Emma's new blade ignited with golden energy. "You're done hurting my friends!"

She charged. The ground cracked beneath her feet as she clashed with Fifteen, gold sparks bursting around them. The sound of their blades striking was deafening — a rhythm of fury and light.

Each hit pushed Fifteen back a step, his armor clashing violently against her power.

Troy and the others watched in stunned silence. "She's actually holding her own…" Noah whispered.

Emma ducked beneath a swing, countered with a spinning slash, then landed a clean hit across Fifteen's chest. Energy rippled outward, shaking the nearby buildings.

But Fifteen wasn't finished.

"Impressive," he said coolly, smoke rising from his armor. "But not enough."

He drove his fist into the ground, creating a shockwave that sent Emma flying backward. Her armor flickered, but she forced herself to rise again.

"Still standing?" Fifteen tilted his head. "Good. Then you'll understand this lesson."

With a swift gesture, he summoned a dark energy portal — and from it emerged another monster, even larger and more vicious than before. It roared, its body pulsing with black flame.

Fifteen turned away. "This is where your story ends. For now."

Before anyone could react, he stepped into the portal and vanished.

Emma stared after him, clutching her sword. "He ran… again."

Troy stepped beside her. "Then we finish what he left behind."

The monster charged. The Rangers regrouped instantly.

"Let's show him what we can do," Emma said, her gold armor glowing brighter than ever.

"Right behind you!" Jake shouted.

Together they unleashed everything they had. Blades, blasters, and energy collided in a blinding burst. The monster howled — and with a final, golden slash from Emma, it disintegrated into light.

The city fell silent again, smoke curling into the fading sky.

Emma lowered her sword, her armor flickering back to normal. The golden glow faded — but the strength inside her heart remained.

Troy approached her with a small, proud smile. "You did it, Emma."

She looked down at her hands, still trembling from the power she'd wielded. "I don't know what this means… but Ohma Zi-O chose me. Just like Gia."

"And maybe that's what Fifteen's afraid of," Noah said quietly. "That power isn't his to control."

Emma looked toward the horizon, where Yuriko's battle raged miles away.

"Then we'll show him," she whispered. "None of us fight alone."
