Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 - Bandits?

The sun burned mercilessly over the dunes, and Bulma's small motorboat sputtered its last gasp of fuel before coming to a stop in the middle of nowhere.

"Ugh, great!" Bulma exclaimed, kicking the deck of the boat. "No gas, no road, no civilization... just sand!"

Buu, standing at the bow, stretched as if nothing had happened. "We'll walk. You certainly won't die..."

Oolong, already sweating and groaning, raised his arms. "Devil's Desert... it's cursed! Only crazy people live here!"

"Perfect," Buu muttered, his eyes shining with curiosity.

Not far away, two figures watched from atop a rock: Yamcha, armed with his sword, and Puar floating beside him.

"Hey, look there! Three travelers... and they've got a lot of capsules, too!" the bandit whispered.

"But that one…" Puar pointed at Buu, uneasily. "He looks… dangerous."

"Well, there's no one Yamcha-sama can't beat!" the boy laughed, jumping down from the rock.

With a battle cry, Yamcha landed in front of the group, dust rising around him. "Everyone, stop! Your belongings are mine!"

Bulma shouted, clinging to Buu's arm. Oolong hid behind her.

Buu just smiled. "Another thief."

Yamcha charged with his sword, but Buu deflected the blow with two fingers. A swift punch to the chest sent the bandit tumbling backward, sending him tumbling into the sand.

"Gah! Who… who are you?!"

"Just a traveler." Buu's voice was calm, but his eyes were burning.

Dismayed, Yamcha grabbed Puar and fled into the dunes, quickly disappearing.

That night, thanks to a capsule from Oolong, the three took refuge in a Home Camper. Bulma turned on the light and sank onto the couch with a sigh. "Finally! Air conditioning!"

Oolong, meanwhile, was preparing drinks with a mellifluous smile. "Hehe... a toast! To us and our trip."

Buu studied the glasses with a glacial gaze. When Oolong turned around, he switched drinks with a subtle gesture.

Later, while everyone was asleep, Yamcha crept up to the camper, ready to strike. But instead of meeting resistance, he heard a thud from behind: Oolong collapsed unconscious in front of the door. The smell of the sleeping pill still wafted from the overturned glass.

Confused and frustrated, Yamcha lost his concentration. A sudden shockwave tore through the sand, forcing him to flee once again.

Later, far away in the dunes, the bandit threw a capsule. A sports car appeared. Grinning, Yamcha placed a small device under the dashboard.

"They always run away... but next time I'll know exactly where to find them."

Meanwhile near the camper, Buu walked towards some seemingly peaceful rocks.

He stopped, raising his hands lazily toward the rocks. "How much longer do you want to stalk me?"

The frigid air was the only answer he got.

"So you want to continue this farse? Ok, we will see how long it will last." Buu started gathering a lot of ki on his palm ready to blast the zone to the grond.

Buu walked toward the jagged rocks, each step slow and deliberate. The night wind swept across the dunes, carrying grains of sand that whispered against his skin. The camper behind him glowed faintly, its warm lights contrasting with the icy aura that now surrounded him.

He halted, golden-red eyes narrowing on the shadows hidden among the stones. His voice carried easily across the silence, low and mocking."How much longer do you want to stalk me?"

No answer came. Only the steady hiss of sand shifting under the desert breeze.

Buu tilted his head, amusement tugging at his grin. "Nothing? Not even a clever excuse? Heheheh… then you're either very brave… or very stupid."

His hand rose lazily, palm facing the cluster of rocks. Energy swirled instantly, crimson and violet ki coiling like a storm. The desert air grew heavy, oppressive, forcing the silence into something almost suffocating.

"So, you want to continue this farce? Fine. Let's see how long it lasts."

The ki sphere expanded, humming with destructive force, casting long jagged shadows across the sand. Bulma and Oolong slept soundly inside the camper, oblivious to the storm about to break.

Buu's grin sharpened. "I warned you."

The energy crackled, splitting the night with a roar, moments from erasing the rocks—and whatever coward lurked behind them—into nothing but glassed sand.

But then...

Autor here: Yeah, I know. I like to tease, haha. Jokes aside, what do you think?
