The ride back to Capsule Corp was eerily silent.
The utter destruction of the Red Ribbon Army headquarters still reverberated through the air like an electric shock that wouldn't die down.
Buu floated ahead of the others, in his arms Panchy rested, as if all this had been little more than a walk in the park.
Bulma and Mai followed at the side, talking quietly; Team Bardock advanced in a compact formation.
Fasha, on the other hand, watched Buu without looking away for even a second.
When they landed in the Capsule Corp courtyard, she was the first to move.
She approached Buu with a determined stride, her cloak blowing in the wind and her aura still pulsing slightly around her.
Buu was stretching, ready to call it a day, when he felt a shadow materialize in front of him.
Fasha stood straight in front of him, her face tilted upward, her eyes shining with a fierce determination she'd never tried to hide.
"Buu," she said in a low, full voice, sharp as a knife drawn into the sunlight.
"Don't you think I've waited long enough?"
Silence fell abruptly.
Bulma turned slowly. Mai did the same. Panchy raised an eyebrow, amused.
Even Bardock sighed, as if he knew full well that this moment would come sooner or later.
Buu looked at her, confused for just half a second.
Then he smiled. That crooked smile, innocent and mischievous at the same time, that gave every woman in Capsule Corp a headache.
"Waited for what?" he asked, tilting his head.
Fasha stepped forward, so close he could feel her warm breath.
"For you to make your move."
Her purple aura curled around her body like a tongue of fire.
"Or you don't want to?"
Buu opened his mouth to reply, but didn't have time.
Mai coughed to make herself noticed, arms folded.
Bulma crossed hers in return.
Panchy smiled as if she were watching a soap opera whose ending she already knew.
"Well," Bulma said, coldly but with a hint of amusement she didn't even try to hide. "This is going to be interesting."
"Very interesting," Mai added with a sharp smile.
Fasha didn't even turn to them.
Her eyes remained glued to Buu's.
There was no hesitation, no shame, no play.
Just a question, blunt and direct.
"So?" she murmured.
"Are you going to make me wait more?"
