Chapter 16 - The Soul Merging 2

Unknown Pov....

Forest Of Acrata.....

After figuring out where my next target was in my mission, I armed myself with the second soul of the Angel of war and walked through the portal of black swirling vortex.

Arriving at the other side of the portal, I was met with much greenery than expected, ranging from huge trees, plants and green shrubs.

In this part of the human world, I could deduce very correctly that it was summer.

With my demonic supernatural hearing, I could hear the noises of human activities from the nearby city which is certainly the Santiago city.

Santiago city, being the first location of my first target in my mission was a lot noisy.

But this location of my second target is quiet and peaceful with the chirpings of birds.

Contemplating for a bit, I decided to find the baby born from the woods according to the prophecy.

Not long after, I heard the cry of a baby not far away. Realizing that, that must be the cry of my next target, I moved towards the cry.

I teleported right to where the cry came from and I saw the source of the cry.

It was a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes that did well to cover the baby's nakedness.

The baby was quite different from the Governor's son who was quiet and totally asleep.

This baby was noisy and crying a lot, much to my discomfort.

The surrounding was shielded with trees and shrubs and the ground was covered with a green carpet of grass.

This baby seemed to have simply materialized out of nowhere which gave me even more reason to think that the baby was actually born from the woods.

The prophecy must be right after all and my mistress following it's instructions should certainly bring back the Angel of war.

But until I find out the darker secret about the Angel of war's disappearance, I can't really make a conclusion.

The more reason why I have to finish up this mission, find out the truth about the Angel of war and make my mistress fall in love with me.

Though, I think she has a soft spot for me.

---

Without further more contemplation, I decided to finish up my mission and merge the soul of the Angel of war with this baby's soul.

"Appear!"

I chanted under my breath and a familiar golden glowing orb appeared before me, floating freely in the air.

With my black spiritual energy, I controlled the golden glowing orb (soul of the Angel of war) to float closer to the crying baby.

The baby had recently calmed down, subsequently after noticing my presence that was looming over it.

It looked at me with a babyish curious eyes and started stretching it's little hands as if it wanted to reach out to me.

I simply ignored the now quietened baby and went forth to cast the merging spell, in order to start the merging process.

"Merge the unmerged and cleanse the unmerged soul!"

I chanted in a low voice, my hands raised up and coming together as if I was praying.

The golden glowing orb reacted to my spell as my black spiritual energy conjured it to merge with the baby's soul.

I took my hands beside me as I watched as the soul got closer to the baby, ready to merge with the baby's soul.

The second soul slowly descended right from the air and it started floating just a few inches from the baby's chest.

It did the same thing, just like the first soul had did with the governor's son by extending it's golden rays outward.

A blue twinkling light emerged out of the baby's chest and it floated right in front of the golden glowing orb.

With the emergence of the blue light which is actually the baby's soul, the baby's heart stopped beating and it's body turned cold and the baby could be confirmed dead. But that didn't worry me, it was quite expected as the same thing had happened to the governor's son.

Everything seemed magical, just as it had happened in the suite of that hotel.

The atmospheric pressure in the surrounding suddenly increased drastically. It was just the same as the atmospheric pressure of the suite in the hotel.

It's quite expected of the atmospheric pressure to take effect on the trees and plants around, even me a demon king, could feel the atmospheric pressure coming in waves.

Actually, it's nothing too hard, I could handle it.

The golden glowing orb (soul of the Angel of war) didn't waste time in merging itself with the twinkling blue light.

It floated closer to the blue light and merged simultaneously.

Suddenly, the atmospheric pressure present in the surrounding increased even more. Though, it wasn't really to my discomfort but I could still feel it.

Not long after, the merging process seemed to come to an end.

Aside from the atmospheric pressure, a strong glowing blue light blocked my vision and I had to raise my hand to cover my eyes. The pressure still significantly huge as I covered my eyes.

By the time I opened my eyes, a blue glowing orb was formed.

The blue glowing orb slowly descended down and sank into baby's chest.

The baby who had stopped crying as a result of his soul leaving his body, sprang back to life.

The baby opens his eyes just as the governor's son had did.

The baby opens it's eyes after the blue glowing orb had sank into his chest.

This time the baby wasn't crying again, instead his eyes were glowing.

His eyes were glowing so bright, giving a blue glow.

Moreover, his glowing eyes were the direct opposite to the governor's son's own when the newly formed soul sank into his body.

The governor's son's eyes had glowed red but this baby's own had glowed blue.

The contrast was evident.

But this is expected especially since both souls formed after both merging processes were different in glowing colour.

Not long after, the baby's eyes stopped glowing and he is back to crying non-stop.

I let out a sigh of exasperation as the noise of the crying child penetrated into my ears. If I had my way I could have silenced the baby immediately. But I have the bear with it despite the fact that it was much to my annoyance.

Finally, I was done with my mission and I was sure that the Angel of war would be brought back. Thanks to the merging of the two souls of the Angel of war with the two human baby souls.

Although, I may not know anything about how the Angel of war disappeared or how he is going to be brought back, but I was confident that things are gonna work out fine.

But this time isn't like last time when I left the hotel after the merging process. I couldn't just leave the baby alone in the forest and on the green grass.

I would have to find a witch that would breed this baby or should I say, adopt and take care of the baby.

It's according to the one phrase of the prophecy that says;

'Breeded by a witch'.

That means a witch would have to be here, somewhere. The baby would have to cry more in order to alert a witch to come here and adopt him and let me be done with this mission once and for all.

At least for once, I appreciate the child's cries.

Without wasting much time, I leapt into a cover of a tree and landing on the of the tree's branches.

From here I would watch the child on the grass until a witch comes around.

I'm sure a witch should be around somewhere. The prophecy cannot be wrong after all the following of it's instructions in order to bring back the Angel of war.

Linda is sitting on the floor of the forest.

It's already evening and thanks to the grace of the Angel of war on her, she was able to finish gathering firewoods on time.

(Only if she knew that the Angel of war was no more).

Right now, she is on the grass floor of the forest, tying the firewoods with the rope she had brought along.

She is absentmindedly humming a song while moving to the tune.

It's a popular song that was usually sang amongst the council of witches and wizards, during the time the Angel of war was still visiting humans.

She usually sings the song, reminding her of those times when witches usually had their powers.

Too bad, with witches loosing their abilities of wielding magic as a result of a lot of them forgetting about the Angel of war, she can't help but feel the harsh reality of being lonely.

Sometimes, she wishes that there are more magic wielders in this world.

At least, she wouldn't be lonely as a result of being the only magic wielder in this world.

However, only if she knew fate had other plans for her.

-------

Linda continues humming the song while tying the woods she had gathered.

Her plan was to tie the woods and use magic to carry them all the way to her house.

She may use wind magic which also involves telekinesis. However, wind magic is the only elemental magic she possesses.

She knew that Delia was missing her already. That's mainly the reason why she would want to hurry home and besides, it was already getting late.

"Finally! I'm done".

Linda breathed out with a note of finality.

"I better be on my way. Delia should be all lonely now".

She stood up and dusted her dusty body.

She walked over to where she kept her bag and picked it up.

Looking into it, she could see that all fruits she brought along were already finished.

That's because she literally ate them all.

She walked back to where she had left her gathered firewoods and is about using wind magic when the cry of a baby reached her ears.

At first, she stood upright and looked around in search for the baby but seeing nothing, she completely ignored it with a shrug.

Once again, Linda was about using her wind magic in carrying the firewoods when the baby's cries reached her ears and this time she was certain and sure she wasn't imagining it.

"Could it be that I'm overthinking or I'm I hearing things?"

Linda murmured aloud to herself.

Her doubts were dispersed when she continued hearing the cries of the baby.

Her eyes opened wide in horror when she was confident it wasn't all in her head.

On first thought, she is sure she isn't hearing things.

Secondly, she couldn't just leave her gathered firewoods here and go after the cries of a baby she was hearing.

What if it's false?

Also, if it wasn't false, she knew she couldn't just leave the poor innocent baby to suffer alone in the forest.

Somehow, a kind of motherly instincts kicked in and she decided to leave the gathered firewoods and venture to find the source of the baby cries.

Which is of course, the baby.

That means she has to look for the baby.

Exhaling air out of her system, Linda simply and hurriedly carried the gathered firewoods to a corner, beside a huge tree stump. While also leaving her back there as well.

She once again breathed in and out.

"Angel magic, hear my call!!"

Linda chanted as wind seemed to surround her forming a little tornado.

The wind carried dust particles that could have easily obstructed vision.

Actually, she was a wind element magic wielder.

Using her magic abilities and summoning her wind magic ability, she used the surrounding wind in bursting herself into the air.

She used the wings as a projectile in flying to her needed destination without the use of wings.

What should be known as air bending. Quite surprising that she could use wind in bending the air to her command.

As she flew in the air, she did her best to find the source of the cries (which is actually the baby) while also avoiding the trees blocking her path as she flew through them. And as she flew through the trees, the wind behind her blew against the trees and plants she passed by.

Not to lie, she didn't know what to expect once she finds the child. She didn't even know what she would do if she finds the baby or what she would do with the baby.

Would she take the baby home and live with the baby as her own child? Or would she find the mother of the child?

Nevertheless, whatever decision she takes depends on whether she finds the child or not.

With that in mind, she bend the wind using it in accelerating her flight even more.

Unknown to her, fate had added her as a big piece in quest of the demon king and the Ancestral Angel.
