Chapter 68 - Chapter 68 Shopping

Nolan and Xi emerged from another shower, and Venom teased with a sly grin, "Satisfied yesterday, Master?" Her tone dripped with mischief.

Nolan's pulse quickened, but he tamped it down. "Venom, behave. Keep that up, and we're staying in."

"Fine, Nolan." Venom dropped the teasing smirk.

"Good morning, Madame Venom," Xi said respectfully, knowing Venom's help won her Nolan's favor.

"Xi, just call me Venom Sister," Venom smiled.

"No, Xi is a servant," Xi insisted firmly.

"Call her what you like," Nolan said.

"Yes, Young Master," Xi replied.

"Where's Pamela?" Nolan asked Venom.

"Showering next door, probably making breakfast," Venom answered.

With Hell's chefs busy and Frank forming a team, Pamela had taken over cooking, despite Nolan's offer to hire new chefs.

Downstairs, Damian sat at the dining table, waiting. Pamela bustled in the kitchen.

"Madame Pamela, I'll help," Xi said, hurrying over.

"Xi, you were exhausted yesterday. You okay?" Pamela asked, concerned.

Xi shook her head, taking a plate. "I'm fine. Demons recover fast."

"Even after those splits? Impressive," Pamela said, a touch envious. Her Green-blessed stamina still paled beside Nolan's.

"Madame Pamela…" Xi's hand shook, flustered.

"No more, no more," Pamela laughed.

At the table, Damian greeted, "Good morning, Godfather, Mom Venom."

"Morning, Damian," Nolan smiled.

"Soft and fragrant," Venom cooed, kissing Damian's cheek. She'd quit human brains but loved a child's scent.

Damian, initially wary, now relaxed in Venom's arms, sensing her warmth.

"What've you been up to, Damian?" Nolan asked.

"Studying, training, gaming," Damian said, blushing at the last part.

"Want to go to school?" Nolan asked, concerned about Damian's isolated life.

"What's school?" Damian frowned, puzzled.

"A place to learn with kids your age and make friends," Nolan explained.

"Friends? Are they strong?" Damian asked, shaped by the Assassin Alliance's focus on strength.

Nolan faltered, speechless.

Venom burst out laughing, her voice filling the room. Nolan glared, annoyed, while Damian looked confused.

Finally, Venom said, "Damian, school's where your father grew up. It's the normal life he wanted for you."

Damian thought, then nodded. "I'll try it, Godfather."

"I'll arrange it," Nolan said.

Pamela and Xi brought breakfast. "What was so funny, Venom Sister?" Pamela asked.

Venom recounted Damian's school confusion.

"School's good for peer interaction," Pamela said, smiling at Damian.

After breakfast, they piled into Nolan's car, sunlight glinting off it as they drove from the manor.

They chatted and laughed, heading to Manhattan to shop for Xi's clothes—her current wardrobe too bold for public.

The once-dilapidated street now gleamed, chaos erased. Nolan walked between Venom, sexy and bold, and Pamela, gentle and elegant, drawing eyes. Xi, holding Damian's hand, was mistaken for their child, sparking envy and jealousy.

In a bright clothing store, Venom and Pamela eagerly picked outfits for Xi and Damian, occasionally asking Nolan's opinion.

"Xi in Lolita?" Pamela asked.

"Not bad, cute," Nolan said.

"This dress for Xi?"

"Not bad, pretty."

"Damian in this suit?"

"Not bad, handsome."

Venom rolled her eyes. "Only 'not bad'?"

"Very good," Nolan grinned.

"Forget it, just watch," Venom said.

Xi and Damian became dress-up dolls, trying various styles. Venom and Pamela soon joined, turning it into their runway. Black stockings and suspenders suited them; white stockings fit Xi. Damian, bored, sat with Nolan, enjoying the show.
