A boy with black hair with dark green streaks, ragged dark clothes, a hoodie tied around his waist, green eyes, and fair skin walks through a village as others pass by, actively ignoring him while being friendly to the others.
He sighs to himself as he walks. As he nears the end of the street, he spots a ¥10,000 Bill on the ground. "'Woah! ¥10,000??" He tries to grab it but gets kicked in the head.
Another boy his age picks it up and pockets it while he smirks at him, "Heh..Sorry, but I believe that's mine now. A stupid poor boy like you should just die instead of trying to lick the pavement."
The boy laughs as he walks away and the other one wipes the blood from his head. "'That..little..turd....It seems I just can't catch a break...'" He gets up and walks away toward his alleyway. As he rounds a corner, he trips on a pebble and falls into a large glowing fissure in the ground.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!"
(13 minutes later)
The boy wakes up in a strange-looking cave and sits up. "Oof, my head.." He stands up and looks around.
The cave has almost a metallic look to it, even though he can feel it's just rock, and the fissure he fell in seems to have energy circling it like some kind of vortex, some parts of the energy taking different shapes.
Bewildered, he says, "Where..am I.." He hears footsteps coming and whirls to see two shadows coming his way from around the corner. He gasps and takes cover, unsure of whether anyone down would be friendly.
The shadows get smaller and smaller as two boys that look his age enter the room. One has brown hair, yellow eyes, a scar on his cheek, a backpack, and strange clothes that look like their from some ancient time period, maybe as far back as the 80s...The other boy has black hair, grey eyes, a sword in his right hand and a shield in his left, and a utility belt.
The brown-haired boy turns to the other and says, "We haven't found anything in this cave, you really think there's something in here?" The other boy replies, "Yep, I can feel it...there's something here..."
The boy (The MC) continues to hide, reluctant to come out, when the black-haired boy turns to his hiding spot and draws a sword from his backpack. "We know you're there. Come out." He says.
Surprised, the boy comes out reluctantly. The black-haired boy points his sword at him and says, "Who are you, and why are you stalking us?" The boy replies, "No, no, that's not it. I was hiding because I didn't know who was coming.."
The black-haired boy whispers to the other, "I dunno..he could be a thief or assassin...." The other replies, "Well, he might know something about this cave...keep your guard up..just in case....."The black-haired boy sheaths his sword and the other extends his hand.
"Apologies, we're just really on guard. I'm Sato Tseroy. We're exploring this cave, wanna join us?" The boy lights up, "Yeah, of course!" "I'm Noe Yu."
They shake hands and suddenly a very large reddish bear jumps out at them, surprising all 3 of them. Noe Yu says, "A bear?! Why on Earth is there a bear here??" Tseroy looks at him weirdly and draws his sword as he dodges a swipe from the bear. He says, "Ando, get me an opening!" The black-haired boy, Ando, says, "Roger!" and pulls out a bow.
He shoots several arrows at the bear and it swipes at him as Tseroy slashes at it with his sword. Noe Yu watches as they team up on the bear, it seeming almost useless against them. Eventually they kill it and it falls into a nearby hole.
They sit down to rest and Tseroy says, "So, what's your specialty? What class are you?" Noe Yu looks confused and says, "Class? What do you mean? I finished high school a couple months ago."
Tseroy turns to Ando and whispers, "How does he not know what a class is..?" Ando replies, "I'm just as stumped as you." Tseroy turns to Noe Yu, "My class is Swordsman and Ando's class is Archer. You've really never heard of this before?" Noe Yu shakes his head, "...Like in fantasy games? Are you guys LARPing or something?"
They look at each other and Ando says, "Where are you from?" Noe Yu replies, "Iyashi no Sato Nenba, the village right above here." He points to the fissure above them, "I fell through that hole, and I have the bruises to prove it." Ando says, "Do any of the people there have classes or skills?"
Noe Yu replies, "No....are you guys just kidding with me? Why are you so focused on this?" They turn to each other with wide eyes and Tseroy nods as he draws his sword. He says, "No classes, huh? No skills or anything?"
He smiles, "Well that's just perfect!" Ando says, "The people in your world will be perfect to strengthen us for when we take over our world." Ando nocks an arrow as Tseroy creeps forward and Noe Yu says, "Uhh...Guys, can we talk about this?"
Tseroy replies, "Nope, you know too much, and you're just a pile of XP to us." Various memories flash before Noe Yu's eyes and he gets angry. He says, "Oh...you guys too, huh? Fine..It's not like I really needed anybody in my life..."
He clenches his fists, "It seems that I've been trying to do the wrong thing my whole life...I've just been trying to get money and friends..well, now I know." Tseroy smirks, "You think that some classless scum like you can beat the two of us? HAH! You're delusional!"
The cave shakes because of Tseroy's laughter and Ando says, "Well, we better kill him quietly, or we'll get buried in this cave before we can cross through the gate to his world."
Noticing his opportunity, Noe Yu takes a deep breath and says in a loud voice, "REALLY? YOU'LL KILL ME QUIETLY? HOW GENEROUS!!" The cave shakes some more and Tseroy hisses at him, "Quit it, or you'll kill all three of us!"
Sensing their nervousness, Noe Yu smirks, "Well, I don't plan on dying, but I will kill you both for daring to even think about what you're going to do. I'll make it painless, as a thank you for helping me discover my fault. DIE!!"
The cavern shakes some more and the ceiling starts to cave in as the floor starts to give out. Alarmed, Tseroy and Ando rush toward Noe Yu and he notices one specific part of the cave floor not shaking at all and he steps onto it. The floor gives out and Ando falls while Tseroy grabs the ledge of where Noe Yu is standing.
Tseroy says in a nervous tone, "Hey..can we talk about this..? I-I'll give you anything! Gold, magic weapons, you name it!"
Noe Yu crouches down while smirking, "Hmmm...Now where did I hear that before..? Ah, now I remember. I said that only a few moments ago, when you and Ando were going to kill me and invade my world. Well, I got the same answer you did for me, 'Nope, you know too much, and you're just a pile of XP to us.' "
He puts his foot on Tseroy's hand and pushes it off as he dangles from one hand. Tseroy says fearfully, "Please...I'll be your servant...I'll never betray you....You don't know what's down there.." Noe Yu says as he strokes his chin, "Hmmmmm.......I dunno.....A servant would be nice....."
Tseroy nods vigorously as he holds on with all his might, "Yeah, I can help you! I know of a bunch of magic items and stuff that could help you! Please! Just spare me!"
Noe Yu then sneers, "Y'know what? I'll pass. You'd probably just push me off the moment I pulled you up. I'll explore your world on my own. For the time being, you can explore the bottom of this pit."
He pushes Tseroy off and he falls into the darkness as he says, "I'll remember thi~s!!" Noe Yu stands up and turns around, seeing the only way forward is the narrow strip of earth between him.
"'All right....Since I'm likely no longer in my original world..judging by their reactions 'n stuff....I will have to find a new way forward, whether or not I do head back to Earth.'" He walks along the narrow strip, careful to not fall, and reaches the other side without so much as slipping a little.
He walks through the cavern and eventually sees a light up ahead. He runs to it and comes to a balcony-like cliff on the side of a mountain.
"'I was completely powerless in my old world...but this changes today! From now on, I swear to become the most powerful and influential person in this world, through any means necessary!!'"
Seeing that there's a place to land down below, even if it looks like a landslide happened, he jumps off as he closes his eyes. He narrowly misses the landing and tumbles down the rock-filled hill, getting cuts and bruises everywhere.
He lands in a heap near a forest as some rocks start rolling and falling down the hill, one large one landing on top of him and nearly crushing him to death. "'No...I can't...die here...My life..will no longer..be...meaningless....'"
He loses consciousness as faint footsteps can be heard in the distance.
