Evander's POV

"Rook." My voice cut the air.

"Yes, Boss."

"Get her out."

Elena blinked, stunned like she couldn't process the words. For once, she didn't have anything to say. That alone told me how angry I looked—how angry I was. She'd seen me furious before, but not like this. Not when the wolf's temper seeped through me like cracks in the stone.

Her lips parted as though she might protest, but Rook was already moving. His hand closed around her arm with firm precision, not gentle, not cruel—just final. He didn't even look at her. To him, she wasn't Elena, my mistress, or anything else. She was simply someone who had disobeyed.

And she knew better than to struggle.

I saw her throat bob as she swallowed down her outrage, her pride, her vanity. Good. Let her choke on it.

"Punish the men who let her through," I added, voice flat, controlled. "Give them the Iron Oath."
