Chapter 70 - Chapter 70

The crushing weight of reiatsu shredded everything around them—walls, floors, even the very air seemed to tremble. Cole's golden staff roared with power, its strikes splitting the chamber like a white storm. His captain's haori had long since been torn to rags, baring pale skin beneath.

Unohana glanced down—half her chest now exposed, bouncing with every movement. Isane flushed scarlet, hurriedly stripping off her own robe. "Captain, please, wear mine!"

Soi Fong spoke coldly. "Unohana, in this state you'll never beat him. Release your zanpakuto."

Blood-colored reiatsu exploded from Unohana's body, crushing down Cole's golden aura. Their spiritual pressures collided in the sky above, shaping into monstrous beasts—one a raging golden ape, the other a crimson demon.

"Cole-kun," she purred, eyes fevered, "I'll get serious now."

She slashed, right hand crossing his staff. At the same instant, her left hand flicked from her sleeve—steel flashed.

Cole's shoulder split open, blood pouring. "A sleeve blade!?"

Unohana smiled sweetly, tucking the short sword back into her sleeve. "Yes. Another sword art I picked up in Rukongai five hundred years ago."

Cole gritted his teeth, licking blood from his lips. "Then don't blame me for not holding back, Flower-sis."

Their duel escalated again, staff and blade clashing in a frenzy. Every strike echoed like thunder, shaking the cavern. Cole's blows smashed mountains to rubble. Unohana's sword carved stone clean through. Blood streaked her white skin, but her smile only grew brighter.

From the sidelines, Isane wept. "Captain's arm is broken! She'll die like this!"

Soi Fong's eyes narrowed. "Look closer. She's smiling."

Isane looked again—Unohana's face glowed with joy, cheeks flushed in ecstasy.

Another slash. More blood. Cole paused, frowning. "Flower-sis, enough. You're covered in wounds. Isn't this satisfying already?"

Unohana chuckled, holding her sword to her palm. She cut it, blood soaking the blade. "Cole-kun, don't misunderstand. Pain doesn't satisfy me. Battle does. This was only warm-up."

Her lips curved, and her voice rang with madness.

"Bankai—Minazuki: All Extinct!!"

A tidal wave of blood-red reiatsu crashed outward. The air turned crimson. Day became night. The floor liquefied into a river of blood, stinking of iron.

Soi Fong's eyes widened. "This… this is blood!?"

Unohana's blade dissolved into a whip of gore. Her gentle aura vanished, replaced by that of a devil born from hell itself.

Cole stared as his shoulder wound sealed, flesh knitting before his eyes. "Wait… this heals me?"

Unohana's smile was tender, words cruel. "My Bankai restores all injuries within its realm. As long as you breathe, your wounds will close. But heal too much… and your body will dissolve into bone, sinking into the blood."

Cole paled—his forearm already exposed bare white bone.

"Now," she whispered, eyes glowing with fever, "fight me until death itself."

Cole swore loudly. "Flower-sis, this Bankai is insane! This isn't healing—it's torture!"

But there was no escape. The blood would not let him stop. He roared, staff swelling to colossal size. "Dai! Dai! Dai! Dai!"

The golden pillar slammed down, but it could not shatter the crimson hell.

Unohana appeared beside him in a blur, blade slicing across his chest. Blood gushed, only to close seconds later. Her face burned redder, her breath hotter. "Cole-kun, don't think. Just fight!"

Blades of blood surged from the pool beneath them, slashing like a thousand crimson swallows. Cole spun his staff furiously, blocking most, but several carved into him. Flesh fell, bone cracked, only to regrow, only to be torn again.

The chamber rang with endless clashing—steel against steel, staff against sword.

On the edge of collapse, Isane sobbed. "This isn't a fight—it's hell…"

Even Soi Fong trembled, lips pale. No wonder he fears sparring with her. Even I would be terrified.

Cole's staff swelled again, smashing Unohana into the blood below. She rose, drenched, smiling with rapture. "Yes… this is what I craved…"

The battle raged endlessly. Pain lost meaning. Time lost shape. When finally the blood began to recede, Cole staggered, body numb, collapsing into Soi Fong's arms.

"Cole, are you okay!?" she asked, worry breaking through her cold mask.

He grimaced. "Soi Fong… if I spar with Flower-sis again, call me a dog."

Unohana approached, cheeks flushed, eyes obsessed. She embraced him from behind, whispering softly:

"Cole-kun, your swordsmanship has reached the tenth rank. With a little more… you'll surpass me. Stay with me tonight. I'll take care of you…"
