Inside a bright, luxurious room, a female Quincy with pink wavy hair and pink eyes sat on the sofa. She wore a small military cap tilted to the side, a red bow with a star-shaped emblem at its center, and a belt with a heart-shaped box.
Meninas raised her index finger to her lips and said in a slightly airheaded tone, "Bambi-chan… come to think of it, yeah, it really has been a long time since we've seen her."
As she spoke, she looked toward the sofa beside her, at a slender girl with long black hair and a tiny Wandenreich cap. Two odd tufts of hair stuck up from the top of her head like antennae.
"Gigi, have you seen Bambi recently?"
Giselle, who was holding a small mirror and fixing her appearance, shook her head and replied casually, "Gigi doesn't know. But it is kinda weird. Why did Bambi suddenly disappear without even saying anything?"
Candice turned to Liltotto and asked, "Lili, you haven't seen Bambi-chan lately either?"
Liltotto, also a petite girl, with short blonde hair and a Wandenreich cap, lazily picked up some fruit from the table and took a bite.
"I saw her two days ago," she said, sounding bored. "That bitch was walking side-by-side with some really handsome guy. Looked like they were heading to the Military Police."
The other three didn't react to Liltotto's foul mouth—because they were used to it.
She was the smartest girl in the group. Pretty and cute, sure, but her mouth was sharp and toxic.
Meninas blinked, curious. "That's so weird. The Military Police only has a few people, right? What would little Bambi be doing there?"
But Candice seemed to think of something. Her expression turned surprised.
"No way… is that guy still alive?"
She'd assumed that once Bambietta set her sights on a Military Police Quincy, he'd be tortured to death the same day.
But now it sounded like something else had happened.
The other three looked at Candice with curiosity.
Liltotto asked, "Little Candi, you sound like you know what's going on. Mind telling us?"
Meninas and Giselle also nodded eagerly.
They wanted to know what could possibly make the arrogant, unbearable Bambietta vanish for days.
Was she… dating?
But with that twisted personality, how could she be with a man?
Candice didn't bother hiding it. Excited, she shared what she'd witnessed not long ago.
After hearing the full story, the three of them couldn't help being shocked.
"The Military Police actually has a genius like that?" Liltotto said, stunned. "I thought it was full of useless trash that His Majesty already gave up on."
Back a thousand years ago, the Military Police had been packed with powerful elites, had earned tremendous merit, and had even become the greatest contributors to saving His Majesty.
But a thousand years later, that force had become nothing but a symbol.
Only losers joined it now.
"Yeah… that man is definitely strong," Candice said after thinking it over. "Back then, little Bambi had already activated her Schrift, and he was near the center of the explosions… but he didn't even get his clothes dirty."
"Wah!!"
The three girls exclaimed at the same time.
They didn't like Bambietta much, but they absolutely acknowledged her strength.
You could even call her the strongest of the five.
And yet a mere Soldat (Holy Soldier) could survive near the center of her explosions?
Giselle licked her lips, interested. "Gigi's getting curious. I wanna go see that man."
Meninas nodded. "Me too. I wanna see why little Bambi couldn't kill him."
Liltotto stood up, eyes gleaming with excitement. "Then let's go together. Let's see what kind of man could mess that bitch Bambi up so badly."
The four of them made up their minds and didn't waste time. They headed straight for Bambietta's castle.
Before long, they stopped in front of the castle gates.
Staring at the doors just a few steps away, they exchanged looks.
Candice scratched at her green hair helplessly. "Ugh. I really don't want to go in. Every time, little Bambi makes the place disgusting, and it's always me who has to clean up after her."
The other three felt the same.
But they were already here.
None of them intended to leave.
With a creak, the gates opened.
A clean, tidy, luxurious living room appeared before them.
The four girls looked around in surprise.
"There's no mess," one of them muttered.
"Not even a blood smell."
"But there's another smell… and it's really strong…"
"A filthy kind of vibe…"
They talked as they walked deeper inside.
Then, on the sofa area, they saw something so shocking they all froze with their mouths slightly open.
"No way… is that Bambi?!" Meninas covered her mouth, staring at the figure on the floor.
Candice was dumbfounded too. "What the hell happened these past few days… how did little Bambi end up like that?"
In their view, the proud, queen-like Bambietta—violent, arrogant, and addicted to tormenting men—was now in a humiliating, submissive state in front of the sofa, like a pet that had been completely trained.
Liltotto forcibly tore her gaze away from Bambietta and looked grimly at the figure seated on the sofa.
"So it was this man?"
The other three also turned to look at Cole, their eyes filled with shock.
Before coming here, they'd assumed the opposite—that this male Quincy named Cole had somehow gained Bambietta's favor.
Like Bambietta had kept a little dog.
And that little dog had survived by wagging his tail and begging.
But now…
Reality was the complete reverse.
It wasn't Cole who had been turned into a "dog."
It was Bambietta.
Even Liltotto—their strategist—was struck speechless.
After a long while, she finally forced out, "Little Bambi… what happened? Why are you… why are you treating a mere Soldat like this…?"
Her cheeks were a little red as she spoke. She couldn't even bring herself to look directly at Bambietta.
The situation was just too embarrassing to witness.
Meninas and Candice reacted similarly.
Only Giselle didn't seem bothered. If anything, she was watching with fascinated curiosity.
They waited several seconds—
But Bambietta didn't answer at all.
Candice got irritated. "Little Bambi, don't go too far. We're talking to you. You should at least respond!"
"Wait, little Candi." Giselle cut her off, pointing excitedly at Bambietta. "Look—little Bambi has earplugs in. Special ones. They block outside sound."
The three turned to look.
Their expressions grew even stranger.
Just what had happened to Bambietta to make her like this?
Meninas tilted her head and looked at Cole. "He doesn't look like he noticed us either. What's he doing? Why is there such scary spiritual pressure moving through his body?"
Only then did the three finally focus their attention on Cole.
Before this, they hadn't cared about him at all—because he was just a Soldat.
In the strict hierarchy of the Wandenreich, a Soldat was an ant to them.
Like Bambietta—she killed Soldat for fun all the time, and no one ever questioned it.
But now it was different.
To make Bambietta end up like that…
Cole had to be anything but ordinary.
The four stared carefully—and realized that across Cole's bare skin, from his forehead down to his toes, countless blue reishi patterns had appeared.
They looked profound, mysterious… and strangely handsome.
And those blue lines were moving—like blood vessels drawn across the surface, with blue "blood" flowing through them.
"This is… Dōketsusō (Moving Blood Armor)…"
"No—more like Seiketsusō (Still Blood Armor). His blood flow looks slow…"
"It does resemble Seiketsusō… with that much reishi forced into the blood vessels, they should've burst…"
"But his blood is moving. Faster than Seiketsusō, way faster…"
The girls spoke instinctively, their voices filled with shock and confusion.
Even though they were Sternritter, they were shaken.
Because Dōketsusō (Moving Blood Armor) and Seiketsusō (Still Blood Armor) were fundamentally opposite.
One focused on offense, the other on defense.
The key difference was this:
Dōketsusō (Moving Blood Armor) fused reishi into the blood vessels and blood, accelerating circulation to enhance power.
Seiketsusō (Still Blood Armor) instead "still" the blood to transform it into the strongest defense.
So when using Dōketsusō (Moving Blood Armor), you couldn't use Seiketsusō (Still Blood Armor).
And when using Seiketsusō (Still Blood Armor), you couldn't use Dōketsusō (Moving Blood Armor).
After all, blood couldn't be still and moving at the same time.
And because both forms involved forcing reishi into the blood and vessels, both were extremely dangerous.
If too much reishi was fused in, the vessels could rupture and kill the user.
Seiketsusō (Still Blood Armor) could generally handle more reishi because it didn't require fast circulation.
But the Cole in front of them completely violated that logic.
His blood vessels were clearly packed with terrifying amounts of reishi—so much that even they felt alarmed—
Yet it was still flowing.
And it still hadn't burst.
Like Dōketsusō (Moving Blood Armor).
Like Seiketsusō (Still Blood Armor).
While they were still arguing, the blue lines on Cole's body suddenly sped up.
They surged through him rapidly, the blue glow becoming brighter and brighter—so bright it drowned out the room's white lights.
From a distance, it looked like Cole had turned into a glowing blue bulb.
"Not good!"
Liltotto's face changed. She swung her right hand forward, and a blue reishi barrier appeared in front of the four girls.
Giselle looked thrilled instead. "This idiot—he's making his blood move that fast. Does he want to die?"
Meninas said blankly, "He's gonna blow up."
With that much reishi forced into the blood vessels and moving at that speed, she could already picture it:
Cole turning into a living bomb, exploding and painting the entire room red.
Candice—who actually admired Cole a little—rushed forward.
She shattered Liltotto's barrier as she moved, thrust out her hand, and released reishi, grabbing toward Cole's body while shouting, "I'll help you suppress the blood flow! Hurry and disperse the reishi!"
But in that instant—
Cole, whose body was glowing with blue patterns, suddenly opened his eyes.
Blue irises. Cold light.
He raised his right hand and pressed downward.
Boom!
Candice was slammed onto the sofa.
