Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Selling Materials

Luo Fan slept a full day and night before waking up.

Upon waking, his first instinct was to look for his communication watch.

The watch was flooded with messages.

Some were from Luo Feng, some from his parents, and some from Fang Xueyi.

Luo Fan got up and stretched, brushing his teeth while replying to messages.

By this time, his stomach was already growling.

He planned to go to the HR Alliance building in the supply base for a proper meal.

After a video call with Fang Xueyi, Luo Fan got dressed and walked toward the HR Alliance building.

Watching the people bustling around him, he felt a sense of relief.

Previously, being alone in the wilderness zone, he had to remain constantly alert.

Now that he was at the supply base, he no longer needed to spread his spiritual force everywhere.

At a restaurant, after ordering a table full of dishes, Luo Fan began to eat ravenously.

In the wilderness zone, the environment had been harsh.

Although he wasn't afraid of attracting monsters by lighting a fire,

preparing monster meat properly took a long time.

It was time-consuming and labor-intensive.

So he had mostly eaten energy bars or drunk Purple Light Dew to stave off hunger.

It had been a long time since he had a proper meal.

While eating the slow-cooked dishes made from beast general meat, he began checking his communication watch for information.

He needed to find a material merchant to sell these materials.

The Warrior Forum had many contacts and reviews for material merchants.

This time, he planned to sell his materials to the Extreme Martial Arts Academy.

Although the money would probably be about a third less than selling to the HR Alliance,

selling to the Extreme Martial Arts Academy would earn him contribution points.

To purchase secret techniques at half price, he needed to have contribution points.

Soon, he found many material merchants from the Extreme Martial Arts Academy within the supply base.

He hesitated for a moment, unsure which to choose.

But then he realized—

Why not ask the all-knowing Fang Xueyi?

She had been a warrior for two years and was also a member of the Extreme Martial Arts Academy.

In that case, it was definitely more reliable to ask his wife directly.

He immediately gave her a call.

Soon, Fang Xueyi sent him a contact and a name.

Seeing this, Luo Fan quickly finished the entire table of food in front of him.

Then he returned to his room and contacted Wang Jiadong, the purchasing manager of the Extreme Martial Arts Academy, whose information Fang Xueyi had just sent.

After getting in touch, Wang Jiadong said he was currently in the supply base and would come over shortly to purchase the materials.

Meanwhile, Luo Fan scrolled through the Warrior Forum in his room.

He began planning his next destination.

Next time he went to the wilderness zone, he wouldn't go to the county town anymore.

After all, there weren't many opponents left in the county town.

With his current strength, even using only his warrior abilities, he could take on high-level beast generals.

So he planned to go to a city to hunt monsters.

While he was looking for a target city, the doorbell rang.

Hearing it, Luo Fan got up to open the door.

Upon opening, he saw a lean middle-aged man outside, wearing black-rimmed glasses and displaying a gentle smile.

He carried a box in one hand and pulled a small cart with the other.

The cart held several boxes, their contents unknown.

"Hello, are you Mr. Luo Fan?"

"I'm Wang Jiadong, the one you contacted earlier,"

the middle-aged man said with a smile.

His smile was very friendly, making him look more like the uncle next door than a purchasing manager of the Extreme Martial Arts Academy.

Though slightly surprised at how quickly he had arrived, Luo Fan invited him in.

"I'm Luo Fan. Please come in, Manager Wang."

Wang Jiadong quickly replied,

"Just call me Xiao Wang."

He then put on a pair of shoe covers before entering.

Then he left the cart outside and began moving the boxes from the small cart into the room one by one.

Luo Fan scanned them with his spiritual force and immediately knew what was inside.

They were all scanning instruments, likely used for inspection.

"Mr. Luo Fan, may I ask what materials you are selling?"

Wang Jiadong still looked at Luo Fan with a friendly smile as he asked.

Upon hearing this, Luo Fan went to a massive safe.

The safe was five meters tall, about four meters wide, and five meters deep.

When Luo Fan opened it, the contents were revealed.

Inside was a gigantic backpack.

He first took out a stack of steel hides from wild boars.

These were the least valuable items in the backpack.

Wang Jiadong took the steel hides with both hands and immediately recognized their origin.

"These are steel hides from beast soldier-level wild boars, right?"

"I didn't expect you, Mr. Luo, to have collected so many."

As he spoke, he took an instrument from one of the boxes and began scanning.

Soon, all thirteen steel hides were scanned.

"Mr. Luo Fan, there are thirteen beast soldier-level steel hides here."

"They are all in very good condition, each one relatively complete."

"For each, I can offer 160,000 Huaxia Coins and 80 contribution points. Does that work for you?"

Luo Fan raised an eyebrow at this.

If contribution points from the Extreme Martial Arts Academy were obtained by donating money, one point cost 10,000 Huaxia Coins.

When selling materials, the going rate was about 1,000 Huaxia Coins per point.

That meant the steel hides were worth around 240,000 Huaxia Coins.

That was considerably more than the 200,000 listed online. (TL/N: Do Chinese authors have difficulty with numbers? their math isn't mathing, i had to do calculation myself lol)

Luo Fan immediately agreed and accepted the price.

The price Wang Jiadong offered was quite high.

So Luo Fan brought out the remaining large backpack.

The backpack was three to four meters tall, taller than Luo Fan himself.

Once the backpack was brought out, the room instantly filled with the smell of blood.

"Show me these as well, and tell me the price,"

Luo Fan said, holding the backpack in front of Wang Jiadong.

At this, Wang Jiadong's eyes were full of surprise.

He had previously checked the owner of this room through the internal network of the academy.

Usually, those here were lone warrior-level martial artists.

Even so, Wang Jiadong, naturally gentle in temperament, remained extremely respectful.

The prices he offered were also very high.

Wang Jiadong had wanted to become a warrior since childhood,

but his talent was insufficient, so he never achieved it.

Later, after entering university, he studied monster knowledge.

After graduation, he finally became the purchasing manager at the Extreme Martial Arts Academy.

Although he wasn't a warrior himself, his position was still significant.

Even so, he held great respect for the warriors who hunted monsters in the wilderness zone.

That was why his purchase prices for everyone were high.

Today, he had initially thought that just these dozen or so steel hides were a good haul.

After all, they were materials used to make battle armor.

But unexpectedly, there were still so many items.

Even just the top layer of the backpack was impressive.

He immediately recognized the contents.

Tails of double-tailed tiger cats, horns from unicorn wild boars, fangs from tiger mastiff dogs, and so on.

Moreover, all of these were beast general-level materials!
