Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: A Physicist's Tears

"Fifty meters away, I think I can empty all five of my magazines!"

Wesley, a young colt unafraid of a tiger, was very confident.

"If you can even get through one magazine, I will consider your training over this period to be very effective and far beyond expectations."

Carlos sighed and said no more. He focused and entered the assassin's bloodline mode.

Talking was pointless. Broken bones were the best lesson.

Only by letting Wesley experience the despairing reality could he truly show respect for Morin and understand what his own level was.

The reason Carlos agreed to this gamble was for this very purpose.

Wesley's progress was fast, but compared to these Assassin Masters, his current level was still just that.

Before they had even taught him things like curved shooting and long-distance sniping, Carlos noticed that Wesley was already getting a bit carried away.

However, this was also normal. In the spirited youth, if you don't get carried away and stay steady all the time, can you still be called a youth?

To be calm in the face of trouble, have a stable mindset, and have everything in orderit all comes from nick of time.

This is why there are popular sayings like "thirty to stand firm" and "a baby-faced man is not to be trusted."

Who didn't go through a rebellious teenage phase?

So, as a father, Carlos understood Wesley's current state and what to do about it.

Preaching was useless, or rather, it had very little effect.

Just like in everyone's elementary, middle, and high school yearsstudent lifewho doesn't know that studying is useful and brings great benefits to their future?

No matter how many times they heard this from family, relatives, and teachers, and no matter how many principles they understood, how many people actually did it perfectly?

They still played when they should play and didn't study

when they shouldn't.

Then, they went to college and were about to enter society. When they compared themselves to others, they realized something was wrong.

"Why can't I find a job? Why did the company hire him and not me?"

When they encountered such things more often, they began to wake up and start working hard on what they should be doing now, and they did it on their own initiative, not because others were rushing them. They studied for graduate school, took civil service exams, wrote, etc.

The principles you discover on your own are always more effective and last longer than the ones others tell you.

Why?

Because if you don't put in the effort, you won't cherish it. Who cares about principles that come out of nowhere?

When you personally experience it, truly realize it, and pay a sufficient price to understand it, you'll never forget that principle for the rest of your life!

Because you paid the price and suffered the consequences!

Most people are like this.

Reasoning is useless. Present the facts to them and let them figure it out on their own. This is the effective way.

Carlos planned to do just that.

What's the use of talking so much?

Wouldn't it be better to just let Wesley get beaten and receive a brutal reality check?

Carlos had specifically told Morin earlier to beat him hard and not hold back!

It must be said that this son was definitely his biological one!

Wesley was, as expected, not convinced.

Based on his knowledge, it was impossible for anyone to

be able to dodge the bullets of three top assassin masters from fifty meters away and then rush forward to knock them down!

As for Wesley automatically including himself in the ranks of the Assassin Masters shouldn't a person be allowed to praise themselves?

If a god with four noobs won, couldn't the four noobs

also say, "We were so awesome, too," right?

Wesley also entered assassin's bloodline mode and began preparing for what he believed would be a stunning performance.

The atmosphere grew increasingly tense.

"Get ready!" Carlos said in a deep voice.

"3, 2 1!"

"Bang!" x3

Three gunshots rang out, almost at the same time.

However, for Morin

He didn't hear the gunshots. He only saw the muzzle

flashes and moved.

With the speed of the bullets fired from Carlos's and the others' modified guns, if Morin had waited until he heard the gunshots to react and move, he would have been shot already.

After all, the speed of sound in the air is only about 300 meters per second, and a bullet from a normal handgun can easily exceed that speed.

So, Morin didn't show off by closing his eyes and listening for the bullets.

Morin said he was a person who respected and loved science!

He would be the guardian of the physicists' tears!

With that, Morin pushed off the ground with his feet, leaving two deep holes, and charged toward the bullets fired by Carlos and the other two.

Wesley's eyes widened. He stared at the scene in front of

him, unable to speak.

He could see the bullets flying out slowly.

Of course, in that slow-motion view, he could also see a figure running toward them at a speed even faster than the bullets!

With Morin's [Physique], after activating the Templar bloodline, he could fully achieve that kind of speed!

And this was without Morin even using stealth or backstab!

Carlos and the other two fired their guns one after another, but just as Carlos had said earlier, before they could even empty a single magazine, Morin had already easily dodged the first few bullets they fired, closed the distance, and, with a speed and strength that was almost impossible to resist, took the weapons out of their hands!

In addition, Morin remembered Carlos's request and gave Wesley a punch, making him roll his eyes and faint.

"How was that?" Morin shook the three handguns in his hand.

"You're a monster!" Fox once again gave him this evaluation.

Carlos just nodded silently from the side.

It was too easy, so easy that it wasn't human!

...

"Ugh"

Wesley opened his eyes. His dazed mind slowly returned to him, and he gradually woke up.

"You're awake?" Morin held a notebook and appeared in Wesley's sight. He said to him with a serious face.

"The surgery was a success. Congratulations, you can now have children."

"What?" Wesley was dazed for a moment. After he reacted, a sudden surge of strength came from inside him. He broke through the solidified healing fluid and reached down.

It was empty!

"You actually" Wesley was in a daze, unable to accept

this fact.

"Hmm?" Morin was stunned.

"You didn't actually lose it, did you?"

I was just joking. Did you really lose it?

When did I get the ability for my words to come true? I didn't even know!

"Ah?" Wesley heard this and carefully checked again, finally finding his target. He let out a sigh of relief.

"Thermal expansion and contraction?" Morin pondered for a moment and asked.

"Uh-huh." Wesley nodded.

"" Morin was speechless.

This thermal expansion and contraction was too exaggerated!

It was scary that you couldn't even find it yourself!

"Alright, now that you're awake, get ready. We can begin the next step of training."

The kind and understanding Morin chose to change the subject and urged him on. "Also, a new member is about to arrive. You don't plan on meeting him like this, do you?"
