Emiya didn't give Menchi another hamburger. Instead, he gave her a plate of stir-fried cabbage. "No matter how delicious something is, you'll get tired of it if you eat too much. Try this instead." This was a type of cabbage that flew away when it was ripe. It tasted amazing.

"Cabbage?" Menchi picked up her chopsticks, put a piece in her mouth, and her eyes lit up. "What kind of cabbage is this? It's so delicious."

"This is a special kind of cabbage," Emiya explained. "When it's ready to be harvested, it migrates to an unknown place so it won't be eaten. The flavor is very pure."

Menchi was confused. She sighed. "The world is full of wonders. Where did you find this kind of cabbage?"

Emiya said, "I found it in a city called Axel."

Axel?

Menchi shook her head, indicating she had never heard of the place. She looked at her companions, Satotz and Buhara, who also shook their heads. They, like Menchi, had never heard of this place.

Robin subtly rolled her eyes. A place called Axel sounded like it was from another world. Of course, they hadn't heard of it.

After Emiya gave Menchi a few good foods, she quickly forgot about the unpleasantness with him. They quickly became familiar with each other. Menchi pulled Emiya over, patted him on the shoulder, and said, "I can see you're someone who also pursues good food. If you pass the Hunter Exam, how about you become a Gourmet Hunter with me?"

"Sounds good," Emiya said, nodding. He didn't have a strong desire to become a certain kind of hunter, so since Menchi invited him, he readily agreed. And compared to Bounty Hunters, Treasure Hunters, Private Hunters, and Mythical Beast Hunters, Emiya felt that Gourmet Hunter might be surprisingly suitable for him. After all, he was a member of the great "foodie empire."

Menchi was even more impressed with Emiya when he agreed so readily, but she didn't neglect Robin and also invited her. "Do you want to become a Gourmet Hunter with Emiya?"

Robin shook her head, refusing Menchi. "Thank you for the offer, but I'm not interested in being a Gourmet Hunter."

"What kind of hunter do you want to be then?" Menchi asked curiously.

"I'm not interested in becoming a hunter at all. I'm just participating in the Hunter Exam to accompany my companion. Whether I pass or not is not important to me."

Robin's words made Menchi frown. Menchi thought that everyone who participated in the Hunter Exam was interested in becoming a hunter. She didn't expect to meet someone like Robin. But on second thought, although hunters were respected and had many privileges, there were still many people who didn't care about them. She had met people like that in her hunter career. But Menchi had never liked people like that.

Although she wouldn't be rude to Robin because of Emiya, she didn't speak to her for the rest of their conversation, treating her as if she didn't exist. Robin was happy with this and calmly enjoyed the delicious dinner.

Emiya saw this and smiled. He didn't say anything. Relationships between people were like that. Some people could become friends as soon as they met, while others could become enemies as soon as they met. As long as Menchi and Robin didn't fight, Emiya would pretend not to notice.

After dinner, Emiya and Robin got up to leave to find a place to rest. Menchi offered to arrange a room for Emiya, and he didn't refuse. Since there was a room available, he, of course, didn't want to sleep on the floor. Menchi took Emiya to the area where the examiners lived, opened a door, and said, "This is your room. As for you..." She looked at Robin, pursed her lips, and said, "Come with me. Your room is on the other side."

If it weren't for Emiya, she wouldn't have bothered with this woman. Robin knew this and said good night to Emiya before following Menchi and disappearing around the corner of the corridor.

Emiya entered the room and closed the door. It was a very simple room, with only a bed, a table, and a separate bathroom. There was nothing else, not even a TV or air conditioning. But thinking about how this was an airship, Emiya was relieved. After washing his face, Emiya fell into a deep sleep. He had traveled through dimensions over ninety times today, and he was tired.

Emiya slept soundly.

...

"Everyone, thank you for waiting! We have arrived at our destination!"

The next morning, Emiya was woken up by the broadcast. He washed his face, left the room, and went to the airship's main hall to meet up with everyone. Hayato Fūrinji, Issho, Sakaki Shio, Robin, and Shigure Kōzaka were already gathered in the hall.

He seemed to be a little late. "Morning, everyone," Emiya said with a yawn, walking over to them. Everyone greeted Emiya, then followed the crowd off the airship to the third exam location: a tall tower that soared into the clouds.

The Trap Tower.

Netero's secretary, Beanish, gathered the examinees and announced the rules for the third phase. They had seventy-two hours to reach the ground. After that, Beanish and Netero left on the airship, leaving the examinees behind.

The Trap Tower was so high it disappeared into the clouds. The sides of the tower had no stairs or windows, only steep cliffs. Jumping from here was no different than suicide. Hayato Fūrinji stood on the edge of the tower and looked down, unable to see the ground.

Issho released his Kenbunshoku Haki, sensed his surroundings, and said with certainty, "There are traps here."

Robin looked at Emiya. "Why don't we just fly down?" She knew that if Emiya wanted to, he could take them all and fly to the ground.

Emiya shook his head. "That would be boring." He came to the Hunter Exam to experience the process. Just flying down from the Trap Tower would be no fun.

Sakaki Shio ruffled his hair. "In that case, let's find the traps."

"Over here," Shigure Kōzaka said. He knelt on the ground and pressed lightly. The floor sank, revealing an entrance.

Sakaki Shio was surprised. He was about to look for a trap, but Shigure Kōzaka had already found one. He didn't dwell on it for too long. "Let's go." Shigure Kōzaka nodded, jumped into the entrance, and in the next second, the entrance closed automatically.

Sakaki Shio went over and knocked on the ground. He shook his head and said, "It's no good. It's locked."

Issho said, "It seems that only one person can enter each entrance."

"This is troublesome," Hayato Fūrinji said, stroking his beard. "It seems we'll have to split up."

"I'll see you at the bottom of the tower," Emiya said, taking a few steps forward, stepping on the ground, and finding an entrance. "Don't make me wait too long." After saying that, Emiya jumped into the entrance.

In the next second, Emiya landed in a room. Besides Emiya, there was one other person in the room: Shigure Kōzaka, who had just jumped down.

"Hey, Shigure," Emiya said.

Shigure Kōzaka nodded to Emiya. "You're here."

Emiya nodded, stood up, and looked around the room. He saw a pillar in the room with five timers on it, and the timers had 'X' and 'O' buttons. Shigure Kōzaka also noticed this and said slowly, "We still need three more people."

Emiya, who had seen the show, knew this and nodded. "Then let's wait."

A minute later, a woman dropped down from above. It was another familiar face. "Hey, Robin," Emiya said.

Robin walked around the room and saw the five timers on the pillar. She realized, "We still need two more people."

"Since we're just waiting, why don't we guess who the last two will be?" Emiya suggested.

Robin smiled. "What do I get if I guess correctly?"

"I'll grant you one wish," Emiya said without thinking.

"Deal," Robin said readily. "If you guess correctly, I'll grant you one wish too."

"No problem," Emiya said, nodding. He then asked Shigure Kōzaka, "Shigure, do you want to play?"

Shigure Kōzaka nodded with a blank expression.

"I'll go first," Emiya said. "I think it will be Sakaki Shio."

Robin said, "I think it will be Issho."

Shigure Kōzaka said, "Elder."

As soon as he said that, the ceiling opened, and a man landed gracefully on the floor. When Emiya saw the man, he smiled wryly. "Looks like we were all wrong."

The man who landed was neither Sakaki Shio, nor Issho, nor Hayato Fūrinji, but the psychopath who Emiya had to deal with in the second phase of the exam: Hisoka!

Hisoka looked up and saw Emiya and his companions. He put together what Emiya had said and quickly understood the situation. He smiled and said, "Can I join in? I guess the next person to come in will be Gittarackur."

Emiya snorted. "Why don't you just say it's Illumi?"

A hint of surprise flashed in Hisoka's eyes. "It's surprising that you can see through the Zoldyck's disguise." Illumi was born into the Zoldyck family, and his disguise technique was unparalleled. He disguised himself as Gittarackur, and even his brother Killua couldn't recognize him. The fact that Emiya had seen through it shocked Hisoka.

"I'm getting more and more interested in you."

"If you want me to deal with you again, feel free to try," Emiya said with a sneer.

At the same time, the last person dropped down from above. It was Illumi.
