"What?" It took a moment for Yang Ze to realise the meaning behind her words as his eyes widened in response. For a moment, he thought he was hearing things.
"This is why I hate talking to old farts." The woman mumbled to herself in displeasure before repeating what she said earlier.
"Only women are allowed in the Imperial City."
"So, if you want to go there, I would suggest you give up."
Yang Ze's expression changed rapidly as he tried to make sense of the meaning behind her words. He wanted to ask a few more questions, but the woman was once again looking at the flame in front of her as if it were the most interesting thing that she had ever seen.
Yang Ze thought for a moment before reaching inside his robe and taking out a handful of gold coins.
"This young lady…" with a smile that would make any child cry, he stood up and walked beside the woman before placing the gold coins in front of her.
