Chapter 12 - Unnamed

Chapter 12 Muchen's Interests

Like the exterior, the interior of the Blacksmith Association is also elegantly decorated.

After all, blacksmiths are a group of legendary beings who can turn ordinary steel into something more precious than gold!

And whether it is high-end mechas or battle armor, they are inseparable from the various materials produced by blacksmiths!

Because of this, blacksmiths and the Blacksmith Association also enjoy a high status on the Douluo Continent!

"Two children, welcome to the Blacksmith Association. My name is Yun Xiaoling. Who are you looking for?"

Seeing Zhao Tao and Tang Wulin walk into the hall, a receptionist girl took the initiative to greet them.

"Hello, I'm Zhao Tao, and I'm here to take the Blacksmith Level Assessment!"

Looking at Yun Xiaoling in front of him, Zhao Tao said lightly.

"My name is Tang Wulin, and I'm also here to take the Blacksmith Assessment."

"Also, I have to visit Master Cen Yue of the Association."

After Zhao Tao finished speaking, Tang Wulin spoke.

"Okay, I'll arrange the first-level blacksmith exam for you and notify Master Cen Yue for you."

Yun Xiaoling nodded after hearing what Zhao Tao and Tang Wulin said. He

immediately dialed the number and confirmed Tang Wulin's identity.

"No, I'm not here for the first-level blacksmith exam. I'd like to proceed directly to the third-level blacksmith exam!"

Zhao Tao smiled slightly and replied.

"What? You want to take the third-level blacksmith exam?"

A flicker of surprise crossed Yun Xiaoling's face at Zhao Tao's words.

After all, Zhao Tao looked only about ten years old.

For a child that age, passing the first-level blacksmith exam was already considered a prodigy.

Not to mention the third-level blacksmith.

  "That's right!"

Zhao Tao nodded calmly after hearing Yun Xiaoling's words.

And just when Yun Xiaoling wanted to say something.

From the gate of the Blacksmith Association, a middle-aged man walked in with a young girl.

The middle-aged man looked to be about forty years old.

He was tall and strong, with a majestic temperament, and was wearing a gray suit.

What was special was the badge on his chest.

It was a golden badge with a forging hammer on it, surrounded by eight black stars.

And this also clearly represented that the middle-aged man in front of him was an eight-star holy craftsman!

The girl next to him looked about ten or thirteen or fourteen years old, and looked youthful and beautiful.

She was wearing a tight-fitting dress that showed off her tall figure.

She has a pretty face and long golden hair tied into two ponytails.

There is a hint of arrogance in her expression and temperament.

  "Mr. President, Miss!"

Looking at the middle-aged man and the young girl who walked into the hall, Yun Xiaoling quickly stood up and looked at them with great respect.

After all, this middle-aged man is the president of the Donghai City Blacksmith Association, Mu Chen!

And the young girl next to him is his daughter, Mu Xi!

"Xiaoling, good morning! I am bringing Mu Xi to take the second-level blacksmith assessment. Please have an evaluator take the assessment!"

With a slight nod of greeting, Mu Chen gave the instructions, turned his head and looked at Zhao Tao with interest.

"Child, I just heard that you are going to take the third-level blacksmith assessment yourself?"

"I am the president of the Donghai City Blacksmith Association - Mu Chen. I will be responsible for your assessment personally!"

Gazing into Zhao Tao's eyes, Mu Chen, with his years of life experience, could clearly discern Zhao Tao's inner calm and confidence.

This child before him was definitely not some showboating, but rather a man of genuine skill!

However, looking at Zhao Tao's age, Mu Chen felt a tinge of disbelief.

After all, according to the Blacksmith Association's records, the previous youngest Blacksmith Master had only passed the Level 3 Blacksmith exam at the age of fifteen.

Zhao Tao's age was clearly much younger than fifteen.

Thinking of this, Mu Chen instantly developed a strong interest in Zhao Tao.

It was for this reason that he offered to personally oversee Zhao Tao's exam.

"Thank you, President Mu. Let's begin now!"

Zhao Tao nodded calmly at Mu Chen's words and turned to Tang Wulin, "Wulin, I'll go take the Blacksmith Level exam first. You can go see Master Cen Yue yourself!"

  "Okay, Brother Tao, good luck!"

Hearing Zhao Tao's words, Tang Wulin nodded and offered his blessing.

"Alright, come with me! Mu Xi, you should rest first and take the test later."

Seeing Zhao Tao ready, Mu Chen nodded and gestured for Zhao Tao to follow him.

"Dad, I want to go with you to watch Zhao Tao's test too!"

Just then, Mu Xi suddenly suggested, a hint of unwillingness in her eyes.

After all, she was almost thirteen years old and had only just broken through to the second-level blacksmith level.

She couldn't believe that Zhao Tao, so much younger than her, could surpass her in forging skills.

  "Alright, Xi'er, come along!"

  Mu Chen nodded.

Zhao Tao and Mu Xi, one on each side, followed Mu Chen up the elevator and into a forging room used for testing.

"The Level 3 Blacksmith exam has a single task: complete a thousand forgings using any metal. There's no time limit. Once you're prepared, you can begin!"

Accompanying Zhao Tao into the forging room, Mu Chen's eyes were filled with anticipation as he explained the rules of the exam.

Mu Xi, on the other hand, remained outside the forging room, observing with curiosity.

  "President Mu, I'm ready!"

After a brief breath, Zhao Tao smiled faintly, stood up, took out a piece of Black Meteorite Copper, and began forging.

For a blacksmith who had reached the level of Divine Craftsman before his rebirth, a mere thousand forgings proved no challenge to Zhao Tao.

With expert skill, Zhao Tao secured the Black Meteorite Copper to the forge, began heating it, and then, grasping the forging hammer, began striking.

Everything flowed naturally, as if instinctual. Each blow was a brilliant dance, graceful and fluid.

As for the repeated hammering sounds, they were like a harmonious and beautiful piece of music.

Far from being noisy, to Muchen's ears, it sounded like a beautiful symphony.

  "Great, that's fantastic!"

Watching Zhao Tao perform the Thousand Forgings, Muchen's heart surged with emotion.

At this moment, he was absolutely certain that Zhao Tao would easily pass the assessment for a Level 3 Blacksmith.

He was even certain that Zhao Tao's forging skills far surpassed Level 3, and even challenging the Second or First Thousand Forgings was not impossible.

Thinking of this, Muchen looked at Zhao Tao with admiration.

This was undoubtedly a genius that the forging world would not see again in a thousand, if not ten thousand years. He was undoubtedly the perfect candidate to become the next Master Craftsman!
