"What? Conqueror's Haki can be used like that?"
"You're just ignorant. Someone's already done it before."
Seeing Kaido's incredulous expression, Leno sneered.
Of course, Leno wasn't sure whether Red-Haired Shanks could already perform "Observation Kill" at this point in time.
But that didn't stop him from mocking Kaido. The guy always acted like he was second only to heaven itself—being told he's ignorant should feel pretty satisfying.
Sure enough, as soon as Kaido heard Leno's merciless taunt, his expression darkened. The Kanabo in his hand began to spark with arcs of lightning once again.
"Don't get cocky, you brat! I haven't lost yet!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Kaido stomped hard on the ground, his massive body coiling before launching forward like a cannonball. The Kanabo in his hands swung high and came crashing down toward Leno.
"Like I'd be afraid of you!"
Facing Kaido's overwhelming charge, Leno didn't back down. He raised his blade and met Kaido head-on.
"Clang! Clang! Clang!"
Sparks flew wildly with every strike. The clash of weapons echoed without pause as their figures darted across every corner of the island.
Sword aura and shockwaves tore through the landscape, devastating what remained of the half-ruined island.
Whoosh! Suddenly, Kaido's Kanabo struck nothing but air—Leno had vanished. Red light flashed in Kaido's eyes as he swung his weapon behind him on instinct.
"Clang!"
"Yo, pretty quick reaction." Leno's mocking voice echoed from all directions.
"Don't you dare underestimate me!"
It was the first time someone had looked down on Kaido like this. Fury burned in his chest, his breathing heavy and ragged.
Then, lightning began crackling through the air. Electric energy gathered violently around Kaido, forming a massive pillar of thunder that shot into the sky.
With lightning-wreathed Kanabo in hand, Kaido leapt high and roared as he swung down.
"Conquerer of Three Worlds Ragnaraku!"
Boom!
Watching Kaido descend amidst a storm of thunderbolts, Leno's eyes gleamed with amusement. Compete with me in lightning? You're overestimating yourself.
He gripped his sword tightly and blocked Kaido's attack. At the same time, his thoughts moved—and bolts of lightning around him transformed into several humanoid figures.
These lightning avatars attacked Kaido from all directions while Leno held him in place.
But Kaido's earlier injuries had slowed his reactions.
Everything happened in an instant—when their weapons clashed, the lightning figures struck simultaneously.
Zzzzt! Zzzzt!
"Ahhh!"
Kaido screamed as the lightning engulfed him. Leno seized the opening, slashing him away, then raised his hand. Countless spears of lightning appeared, surrounding Kaido from all sides.
"Lightning Javelin!"
Before Kaido could recover from the pain, he was swallowed again by the storm of glowing spears.
Agonized roars echoed from within the blinding light. Leno's eyes remained cold as he swung his blade, sending waves of black and purple energy cutting into the lightning storm.
Slash! Slash! Slash!
Without pause, Leno lifted his left hand slightly. The ground trembled violently, and several colossal dragon heads formed from rock and sand burst upward.
"Dragon Might—Earth Scroll!"
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
The dragon heads opened their massive maws and bit down on the storm of light, shaking the earth with deafening force. Dust and rubble billowed into the air.
When the smoke cleared, the spot where Kaido had stood was now buried under a mound of rock, its crisscrossing ridges sealing him tightly beneath it.
A moment later, the ground trembled again. Leno raised an eyebrow as the mound began to shake violently.
Boom!
The mound exploded apart. Kaido leapt free, shaking off the dirt and panting heavily, his expression wary as he glared at Leno.
"Brat… what the hell is your ability?"
He couldn't hide his shock. In his youth, he'd seen Golden Lion use a similar power—but Leno was clearly a Mythical Zoan type.
Lightning powers, sure, that made sense. But manipulating earth too?
"You guess~"
"You…!"
Seeing Leno's playful smirk only made Kaido angrier. From the start of the fight until now, he'd been on the losing end.
"I've never seen that idiot Leno use so many powers at once before," Nami said in surprise as she watched from afar.
"Yeah. When he fought Aokiji in the West Blue, he only used his Mythical Zoan ability. Now he's already shown three different powers," Carmen added, her voice filled with awe—and a little envy.
Nojiko frowned, her tone grave. "That just proves how strong Kaido really is. Leno's being forced to use everything he has."
The others nodded. Even after taking such heavy hits, Kaido could still fight evenly with Leno—it showed just how terrifying his resilience was.
"The so-called 'Immortal Body' really lives up to its name," Robin murmured in amazement. Still, none of them looked particularly worried.
From their perspective, Kaido had been getting pummeled since the start.
Watching Kaido cough blood and struggle to stay upright, leaning on his Kanabo, Leno grinned.
"What's wrong, Kaido? Out of breath already?"
"Uororororo…"
"Brat, I admit you're strong—but beating me? You're a hundred years too early!"
Kaido laughed loudly between gasps, mocking Leno with defiance.
"I am Kaido of the Beasts, Emperor of the New World!"
"Uororororo!"
Leno gently brushed his hand across his blade, Huangquan, and spoke calmly. "Is that so? Then let's see who stands in the end."
Flash!
Leno vanished in a streak of lightning, reappearing instantly behind Kaido. His blade, wrapped in black and violet lightning, slashed downward with all his might.
"Dragon Force—Dragon Fang!"
Boom!
Kaido's eyes flared red as he spun to counterattack. His Kanabo crashed into Leno's body, sending him flying.
Kaido blinked in confusion. Such a huge attack… and that's it?
Then, a chill ran down his spine—Leno's voice sounded behind him again.
"You let your guard down, Kaido."
"What!? No—!"
Kaido's face twisted in shock as he turned. But it was too late.
Shhk!
Pain exploded in his chest. He turned his head with effort and saw another Leno standing behind him, sword buried deep in his body.
"You… what is this?"
Kaido could hardly believe his eyes. There were two Lenos—earlier, he'd seen lightning clones, clearly made of energy.
But this one… this one felt completely real.
The Leno behind him smiled faintly, eyes gleaming with lightning.
"Five Hundred Million Volts—Discharge."
